Recently we watched the movie “Saint Judy”. About a US immigration lawyer and the emigrant from Afghanistan, who had a high chance of deportation, and death awaited her in her homeland, and you know why? (Shock) because she taught her children that the Taliban prohibits women, she was put under arrest for this, she was raped there, and if she returned to her homeland, her own father and brothers would kill her in order to save the family from shame…. The end … Overall, a worthwhile film. In the process, you really experience culture shock and understand how different the world is depending on where you live. And that in a number of regions and countries, and there are a huge number of them, unfortunately, it will take a long time or never to achieve the way of life that seems acceptable to you. Saint Judy Una donna lotta per i diritti delle donne che chiedono asilo politico in America. Il caso è eclatante e tostissimo allo stesso tempo e tra tutti i personaggi mi ha colpito maggiormente il primo giudice che la donna deve incontrare, che si sente quasi attaccata nel suo essere donna, ma purtroppo ha le mani legate. Nella visione del film però purtroppo lo spettatore viene portato a pensare a cosa avverrà dopo e francamente se si è deciso di raccontare una storia del genere, con questi toni, viene difficile pensare che possa finire in un modo differente da quanto accade. Valida l'interpretazione di Michelle Monaghan, ma in generale il film risulta poco incisivo e sorprendente, forse un po' piatto e pur raccontando una buona storia si perde interesse.
