{The Best Bits} This isn't always how it looks. In fact, lately, these moments have been hard won. But I'm going to put this on record, because we need to remember the wins when we're struggling to climb back up from those valleys of doubt. We watched the third episode of Planet Earth III over lunch today. I feel like we always learn a lot and have a lot to talk about afterwards. Today was no exception. Those growing brains were churning with questions and deep thoughts. My 8yo was worrying about the little ostrich chicks that might hatch alone in the grasslands, until after he was in bed, and we had some rich conversations from that. It's a privilege to watch as his empathy grows for all those around him, and with it, his confidence that what he thinks and feels is also important. My almost 10yo asked if she could get some paper while I was washing up. I didn't expect her to produce these two posters within the time it took me to finish, crystallising issues she took away from the documentary and our related discussions. She's my no-longer-so-little activist. She will fight anyone tooth and nail for her freedom to be home educated and these little glimpses of her mind give me the much-needed reassurance that what we are doing is necessary for her. I’m guilty of overcomplicating sharing my faith. Thinking I have to know all the right words to say. Have all the answers. Memorize all the Bible references. It’s a lot of pressure, and it can keep us quiet. We feel like an imposter and a phony because our lives are messy. Inadaquate because we don’t have a piece of paper saying we’re qualified to unpack scripture or disciple other people. But I don’t think God meant for it feel heavy or complicated. Let me wow you, He says. All you need to do is tell other people about it. The story unfolding right now that feels raw—it’s a perfect spot to start. Tell how God is faithful even when you’re not. Patient even when you’re not. Kind even when you’ve said things you regret. Share how He’s growing you. Tenderly present, though you’ve done nothing to deserve it. Uncovering what you still need to let go. Giving you what you need for this precise moment. I’m cheering you on, and God? He’s grinning from ear to ear. Let’s pray. Hallo Ihr Lieben - heute wird es wieder spannend Zumindest für mich 😃 Heute heißt es umziehen & zwar von Campos nach Llucmajor Ob das eine gute Idee ist? Woher soll ich das wissen. Ich weiss aber, dass es mir dort wesentlich besser gefallen wird, als in dem kleinen Zimmer in Campos. Campos an sich fand ich super schön & schließlich arbeite ich dort & kann dann noch länger verweilen. Llucmajor ist nur 5 min mit dem Auto oder Bus und meine neue Wohnung ist soooo ideal gelegen... It was up in our Northern Michigan, lily blue nursery that we first fell for YSL’s disruptive black tuxedo on a woman. Advanced taste for such little ones. The late French writer Marguerite Duras wrote a breathtaking essay about him the summer I was born. “He makes a dress. He puts a woman in that dress in the middle of desert sands, and it is though the desert had been waiting for that dress. The dress was what the desert demanded—it speaks volumes.”

Heute habe ich einen Abstecher nach Felanitx gemacht, um mich für meine morgigen Termine zu orientieren. Es stellte sich jedoch heraus, dass dies garnicht nötig gewesen wäre - aber als stets pünktlicher Kontrollfreak macht man das eben so 🤣 Felanitx hat bestimmt seine Reize, vor Allem, wenn die vielen kleinen Geschäfte geöffnet haben, aber heute am Montag war hier alles beschlossen... Proud Last night I felt proud , it came over me because someone had acknowledged something about myself that I had been working on . This morning it had me thinking. Does our proudness only ever kick in when it is acknowledged externally? There are so many things for us to constantly be proud of ourselves for but we are not shown or taught this as a general mode of thought .
