Summery Tzatziki Dressing . . . Summer is upon us and I can’t keep calm. I know I had to put up this post yesterday but work was upon me too. Okay, bad joke. Coming to the point, I have really been a fan of the Greek Dressing - Tzatziki. Since we can’t go to Greece, we can always bring Greece home. Super simple to make, here goes the recipe. For a small bowl, you will need: 1. 400 gm of plain Greek yogurt 2. 2 medium grated Cucumber 3. 4 cloves of garlic 4. 2 Tbsp. of Extra Virgin Olive Oil 5. Small cup of Finely chopped Dill 6. 1 Tsp. of White Vinegar 7. 2 Tbsp. of Lemon Juice 8. Black Pepper and Salt to taste How do you go about it? 1. In a muslin cloth or kitchen towel, strain the Greek yogurt for 2-3 hours. 2. Same goes for the grated cucumber — remove all the water. 3. In a blender, blend the garlic and olive oil. 4. Once done, mix the yogurt, cucumber, olive oil and garlic mixture. 5. Add the white vinegar and then the lemon 6. Finally, followed by the dill and salt and pepper. 7. Chill this for an hour and serve this with veggies or nachos or use it as a salad dressing. Thank me later! Also, @deeksha_rastogi_ has approved this recipe. - Beetroot Lemonade ft. my bae @hamiltonbeachindia - . . . I ❤️ beetroot in anything and everything- from sandwiches to dressings and from salads to even in hummus — my love is eternal. During the lockdown I fell in love with a particular Beet Lemonade from an outlet nearby and always had the urge to make my own. Sadly, I didn’t have a robust enough Juicer at the time. But @hamiltonbeachindia was kind enough to send me a Hamilton Beach JMG across and got away with my itch. Sharing the recipe here: What do you need: - 2 medium sized beets - better if boiled - Freshly squeezed lemon juice. I went with 4 lemons - 1/2-1 tsp. of honey - 1/4 tsp. of roasted cumin and black pepper - A bit of mint leaves -3 cups of water - Ice ice, baibeh for serving . How do you go about it: - Blend in everything together and sieve. The way the @hamiltonbeachindia JMG is designed there’s minimum wastage which is a major win. Cheers! . . . Hazelnut Mousse ft. @hamiltonbeachindia . . . With Valentine’s Weekend being round the corner, I whipped up two batches of Hazelnut mousse using my bae, @hamiltonbeachindia JMG. Sadly, not a cake which was the most common as newer to the riddle I posted yesterday. But then, there’s always a next time. 😋 Also, I used the Dry Hard - Fine preset on the JMG and the blending took me about 10 minutes each time. Loved the consistency. Also, fairly simple recipe! If I had to pick a favourite soup, it would be Broccoli and Almond Soup. I know I have been MIA (Read: will be a little off the grid till February) but I have been making the most of the winters and drinking my favourite soups made especially in the @hamiltonbeachindia JMG’s Soup preset. Flaxseed के लड्डू/energy balls . . . Winter’s here — which means that the laddoo season is officially upon us. Tried the mothership’s healthy-ish flaxseed laddoo recipe. These cute laddoos have replaced my everyday chocolate quota. Also, using @hamiltonbeachindia’s JMG, we were able to grind all these dry in no time and made a whooping 2 KGs of these laddoos. For a smaller batch — the ingredients, you need: • 500 gms roasted Flaxseed • 250 gm roasted Rice Flour • 250 gm roasted Moong Dal • 250 gm of roasted almond • 100 gm of roasted makhana • A small cup of roasted methi • A small cup of jaggery liquid • 3-4 Tbsp. of desi ghee How do you go about it? • Grind the dry ingredients — you need a great blender for this to make this task easy. Luckily, I had @hamiltonbeachindia’s JMG. • Mix the dry ingredients, pour in the ghee and jaggery liquid slowly. • Knead it all and use your hands to shape up laddoos. • For extra jazz, add a little raisin on top! After a year of procrastination and beating zillion excuses, I can finally say — YES, I go to THERAPY and it’s about time we normalised this. In all honestly, initially I found it weird and thought that it was a sheer waste of my time and MONEY because “hey, anxiety is normal, right?” and I had NO major trauma or setback to discuss with my therapist. Also, I was low-key concerned about the stigma it attracts. Because log kya kahenge? 2 months into the process, I see it like a regular checkup with a personal trainer or a health coach and I feel stupid because I should have started this earlier. Though I am not a mental health expert and there’s a lot of work that I need to do on myself, I would just say that it’s been an unprecedented year for everyone and seeking help JUST TO TALK is very normal. But SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP — don’t give in to a self-proclaimed ‘mental-health-expert’ on Instagram. Eating clean, hitting the gym, maintaining your calories are great. Amping up ‘Dal Chawal’ . . . I have been at my parents for the past month and I have realised that their taste palette is very #desi and strictly vegetarian in contrast to mine which is a little #experimental. Nothing wrong in that because not a lot of folks like eating Kale and Tofu everyday lol. BTW, I tried buying some here and came to the conclusion that either I can eat an Avocado or sell off a kidney and I love my kidneys 🥰. Also, #dalchawal is my soul food. So, this is how I go about eating dal-chawal in 3 steps: 1. Having Protein Rich sources on the side: Homemade Paneer and Boiled Soy Chunks tossed in a little Olive Oil and pink salt. You can add seasoning but that’s how I like it. You can ditch the yogurt/curd if you like but I love me a little homemade curd on the side. 2. Having a generous serving of local and easily available vegetables: Mushrooms, Bottle Gourd, Pointed Gourd or Parval, Okra or Bhindi, Bitter Gourd, etc. cooked in minimal oil and spices. I am not a big fan of raw veggies but cucumbers, carrots and beets make the cut for me. 3. Portion control the rice and dal servings. And that’s about it! How I prefer to eat breakfast is with a serving of fruit, moderate amount of carbs and a good amount of protein and fats. #throwback to a small cup of vermicelli upma with veggies (Read: Not too prominent in the picture), an orange and a 4 egg white, 1 whole egg omelette roll with a bit of cheese on my beautiful breakfast plate. You don’t have to complicate food and I do sometimes get too carried away with the Kale and Avocados but it doesn’t have to be that way all the time. Experimenting is cool and fun but you can and should stick to basics. Miss eating the omelette though because eggs aren’t a big hit at my parent’s strictly vegetarian household. ‘Side-kicking’ through all the procrastination and getting my lazy ass to WORK through it all. Have a gazillion pending tasks at hand and the WFH situation is just not helping because it almost feels like I live at work 24x7. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my work (Read: Took me 5 years to say this lol. Also, I am not a full-time content creator. Don’t think I ever will/can be one.) But it’s about time I drew a line. So, I am working on it starting today. Also, working on setting up a mini home gym and studio at the new base and some new content. Don’t worry, I am not here to be another armchair therapist and rant about mental health. But just dropping in to say that if you have been feeling overwhelmed, there there! Though I haven’t been at my best, I have been doing small things during this lockdown and home quarantine spiral which I used to take for granted and they have been helping me cope up better and remain saner, for the lack of a better word. Two things on top of my list are: 1. Meditating regularly. Something that I tried but couldn’t get in the groove of it. Now, I use a guided meditation app called Headspace. 2. A skin and self-care regime- something I had personally underrated all my adult life. Had never thought that showers, body scrubbing and moisturising could be so soothing. Now I know why @jvn raves about it. Thanks to @thebodyshopindia for helping me in this endeavour and sending my favourite handpicked Bodyshop products even during the lockdown. Wearing my heart ‘on/in’ my ‘smoothie bowls’. The past months have been mentally draining for most the of us. Don’t worry, I am not here to be another armchair therapist and rant about mental health. But just dropping in to say that if you have been feeling overwhelmed, there there! Though I haven’t been at my best, I have been doing small things during this lockdown and home quarantine spiral which I used to take for granted and they have been helping me cope up better and remain saner, for the lack of a better word. Two things on top of my list are: 1. Meditating regularly. Something that I tried but couldn’t get in the groove of it. Now, I use a guided meditation app called Headspace. 2. A skin and self-care regime- something I had personally underrated all my adult life. Had never thought that showers, body scrubbing and moisturising could be so soothing. Now I know why @jvn raves about it. Thanks to @thebodyshopindia for helping me in this endeavour and sending my favourite handpicked Bodyshop products even during the lockdown. When I was a kid and my mom used to pack my lunchbox for school, she would always make it look beautiful in her own little way. Smiley face sandwiches to Milk Bikis biscuits, she always put a little artsy touch to her food. We come from a very humble background and those were not very good times for the family but my mom always made even the simplest dishes, even Dal aur Chawal, look so beautiful. I think that’s where my liking for food presentation stems from. I am not a pro but I try and a lot of people sometimes find it too fancy (Read: So does my mom now, LOL). . But I believe that having a meal should be an experience, especially your breakfast/brunch (Read: Looking at you, the IF folks!) because it sets the tone to your day. Also, I think it amplifies the taste of the food as well in some way. Let’s face it, a cheese burger would taste better than a Kale/Spinach smoothie anyday LOL. So, if you are struggling to eat healthy, try to make your food interesting and put in a little effort. Trust me, you would see a difference. Beetroot Hummus! . . . Took me a year of procrastination and a pandemic to make my own hummus. You can use this as a dip for veggies while snacking, on bread or on salads. I love love love hummus and how versatile this baby is. Was it easy? Yes and No. I will tell you why before that, I will quickly share the recipe. Swipe away! Trying a new way to share recipes now. 🙌🏽 Circling back to why was it difficult for me? Firstly, I started following a recipe that I found online and started off with way too much chickpeas in the blender. So, don't be greedy and start off with a small cup or two. Unless you have a really powerful blender. Secondly, I do not have a very powerful blender. So, I had to be patient with blitzing. But unlike Peanut butter, I will definitely be making more Hummus at home because this didn't feel much of a daunting task. And unlike store bought hummus, this one doesn't have a lot of oil. I stored this is a glass jar and kept it in the fridge and this will stay good for a week. WFH Snack Hack I haven’t been able to create and post too much of-late because my mind is clouded and I have been procrastinating like hell. No worries as I know this too shall pass. In the meantime, here is my goto snack hack for Mundane Mondays to uplift my mood and when I crave to eat an ice cream or Frozen Yogurt the mostest. Sometimes I give in, but most times I do the following. What do you need? • 90 gms or a cup of Natural Unflavoured Greek Yogurt • 1 Tsp. of Granola • 1 Tsp. of Almond Butter. Peanut Butter works too but Almond Butter wins hands down. Ration is well because it is very 💴! • A tsp. of seasonal fruit. I used strawberries here as this is an old pic. You can use minced or finely chopped apple/banana/mango too. • A pinch of Cacao Nibs (optional) • 1 Tsp. of crushed Protein Brownie (optional) How to go about it? • Summery Vietnamese Rolls • . . . Went on my weekly grocery run to @namdharisfresh to find the last standing pack of rice paper rolls. Didn’t even think twice and got them home to make these summery Vietnamese rolls with lots of veggies and Tofu/Paneer. Here’s how I made these refreshing rolls and the peanut dip. . * INGREDIENTS . For the rolls: . • Rice paper • A very small cup of cooked Rice Noodles (optional) • Steamed and Thinly Sliced: Carrot, Cucumber and Red Bell Pepper • Washed and Finely Chopped: Red Cabbage, 100-200 gm of Tofu/Paneer and Mushrooms • 1 Tbsp. of Sriracha/Chilli Sauce • Salt & Pepper to taste . For the dip: . • Two Tbsp. of Natural Peanut Butter • 1 tsp. of soy sauce • 2-3 chopped garlic cloves • 1/2 tsp. of grated ginger root • 1/2 tsp. of chilli garlic sauce • A dash of honey • A dash of lime juice • 2-4 Tbsp. of warm water Didn’t have rice vinegar but you can add a Tbsp. *HOW TO GO ABOUT IT: The Rolls: . • In a pan, add a wee bit of vegetable oil and sauté the mushrooms. Turn off the flame, add the other veggies, tofu, sauce and seasoning. I didn’t add the red cabbage to this though. • Now, dampen the rice rolls in water for 3-4 seconds, remove and put it on a flat surface. • Add the noodles, cabbage and the veggie and Tofu mix and start rolling. There are a plethora of videos available on YouTube for this. For the sauce: . • Add in all the ingredients in a blender, except the warm water and blitz. • Keep adding 1 Tbsp. of water after 30 Seconds of blitz to get the desired consistency and taste. Two Ingredient Spinach Summer Cooler . . . The other day I saw @sheenafit using blanched spinach in a lovely drink. Great idea to sneak in more greens in your life. So, I tried a spin-off version of that using Coconut water. Didn’t have the real deal handy so I used @pureandsure.in coconut water which had a little watermelon flavour. Drank it as a little summer cooler with a bit of nuts on the side. Perfect snack, isn’t it? What did I use? • About 100gms of finely chopped Blanched Spinach • Chilled Coconut Water. Are smoothies actually very healthy? You see me putting up posts about it quite often and the answer can be both Yes and No. Smoothies do have their own pros being tasty, easy to make, nutrient dense and they make it easier and convenient to consume certain vegetables and fruits. We love making smoothies in this household and we are mindful of the following. Hope it could help you too. . • Be careful about the portions of fruits, seeds, milk, nut butters, etc that you are using in your smoothies. Especially, if you are trying to lose weight. Natural nut butters are good for health but are quite calorie dense so don’t heap up your smoothies with them. 1 tsp. or less is just fine. . • Try to make your smoothies more vegetable and protein based with a little bit of fruit for sweetening. That said, we make a lot of blanched Spinach and Oats based smoothies with some plant protein powder. . • Don’t add additional sweeteners to your smoothie. Half a medium-sized frozen banana not only gives a better texture to your smoothies but gives ample amount of sweetness too. Instead add a drop of natural vanilla essence or a pinch of cinnamon for a better flavour. . • Add a bit of Isabgol or pysillium husk to your smoothies for added fibre. . • Try and avoid store bought smoothies. There’s a high probability that they are high on sugars/sweeteners and are calorie dense. In all honesty, smoothies are always my second preference when it comes to breakfast and I always have them alongside boiled eggs. Okay, I made my own Peanut Butter! 🥜 . . . Never ever had I imagined that I would do this, but when stuck in a lockdown you gotta do what you gotta do. So, I made a dry roasted cinnamon flavoured creamy peanut butter. Sharing the recipe right away followed by my honest experience! What would you need: • 250 gm of Peanuts • 2 Heaped Tbsp. of Olive Oil • 1/2 tsp. of freshly grounded Cinnamon • 1/4-1/2 tsp. of Honey • A wee bit of salt • A very tiny bit of Water. Edit: A lot of recipes I found online didn’t add water but I did for a creamier consistency as I didn’t have a food processor. If you have one handy, skip this. How to go about it: • Dry roast your peanuts in an oven or pan. I used an OTG at 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes but then it depends on the oven you are using. Or you can directly buy roasted peanuts too. • After that, I just started blitzing the peanuts in a mixer and boy, it was quite an effort! • I kept pulsing in intervals of 30 seconds rest and 30 seconds pulse. • The peanuts become powdery first. And then you gradually start adding oil. Not all at once. • Took me about 20-30 minutes of blitzing and pouring to get the consistency. • Added the sweetener and cinnamon at the end and blitz it all again thrice. I stored it in a glass jar and refrigerated it because there were no preservatives and excess oil that were added to this nut butter. I loved the taste, consistency and the fact that it was home made. Also, it’s economical for your pocket and at times when you don’t have PB available. Aaaand I loved the feeling when I had it on a toast for a quick snack, tasted heavenly. But it was too much effort for me, honestly. Maybe because we have a very basic mixer grinder and not a food processor at home.🌚 Also, it went bad even after refrigeration in about 5-6 days. So, make sure if you are trying this, you are making small batches. We had almost consumed all of it at home and I think we wasted only about a teaspoon sticking around in the glass jar. But if I have a robust food processor and time, I would definitely start making my own PB on a regular basis. 😬

Quick 10 minute Breakfast Oatmeal Cake . . . Had a couple of over-ripe bananas lying in the kitchen so baked a quick breakfast oatmeal cake with whatever ingredients I had at home. We had this with Greek yogurt and strawberries and it tasted bomb. Without further ado, here you go: What will you need: • 2 over-ripe bananas • 3-4 Tbsp. of Oats • 1 whole egg or flax/chia-egg for strictly Vegetarian/Vegan folks • 1 Tsp. of Cocoa Powder. I used drinking chocolate that was lying unused in the pantry because we ran out of coco powder. • 1 Tsp. of Crushed Cashews/Walnuts. Whatever is available. • 2 Tbsp. of Milk of Choice • 1-2 tsp. of Orange Zest. I saved the peeled skins of the ones from whenever we eat oranges at home. But this is still optional. • 1/2 tsp. of Baking Powder • A pinch of Baking Soda How do you go about it? • In a baking dish, mash the bananas really well with a fork. I used a glas one so no greasing/glazing was required. • Then whisk everything else with this really well. • Bake this on a medium setting in a microwave for 4-5 minutes. I was on the phone with my friend the other day, when I caught a glimpse of the time and went like “Bro, I go gotta go to the gym!” . What followed was a huge lecture from the other end on how I should be practising social-distancing in this crucial time and staying home! Had to explain him that ‘gym’ now translates to my ‘apartment terrace’ and that my emotions were kinda lost in translation because this was just a force of habit. Though I have been loving working out in the open air on the terrace. Utterly grateful for that! But I do miss both my gyms and the countless mirror-fies I used to take to commemorate the post-workout glow. 😅 . Hoping things to be normal again soon! Till then we gotta do what we gotta do and roll with whatever we have. Stay alone but connected, safe and strong. Quarantine Parfait . . . Wanted to have dessert for breakfast because cravings. So, made one! Though this is a little calorie dense and after having eggs with this, I didn’t have lunch because I was 🤰🏽. But here’s what I did, in case you had a craving too! Quarantiny Tip! . . . It’s a mere repercussion of our reckless actions that we have a pandemic looming over our heads! But this lockdown has also taught us an important lesson of not taking tiny little things in life for granted. Personally, it has made me very diligent about using and rationing resources. In the process of reducing, reusing and recycling resources, I have restarted using a DIY exfoliator or body scrub which is quite sustainable and utterly easy to make. Hence, I am quickly sharing it across in-case it might help anyone out here. Ingredients: • 2 Tbsp. of used Coffee Grounds • 1 Tsp. of Coconut Oil Mix it up. And you are done! How do I use it? I use this as a Body Scrub twice in a week and I swear by it because my skin feels rejuvenated and smooth after every use. Also, it’s way better than any other expensive body scrub I have ever used. Secondly and most importantly, it’s so frikking sustainable that I don’t think I will ever go back to using store bought body scrub ever again. Works even if you don’t have coconut oil BTW. Tried and tested. Every morning, after I have had my pour over coffee, I wait for the coffee grounds to dry and then store them in a air tight container. Before taking a shower, I just add a tsp. of coconut oil to the grinds. That’s it! You can also use this as a hair mask too. Sounds good no? Brightening the Quarantine Days with @thebodyshopindia . . . This is how work from home looks like for me. Before the lockdown, I didn’t indulge in panic buying as we already had essentials stocked up at home. But I forgot to stock up on one basic thing- a face wash! But @thebodyshopindia, being a complete bae that it is, sent across their Drops of Light hamper right on time and saved my life. The clarifying foam wash feels quite gentle on my skin and so is the day cream. But the beaut of a product and a recent discovery that I made was the Liquid Peel! Spaghetti and Soya Balls (Read: Actually, chunks! But I was tempted to write this!) . . . Discovered this combo at home when we had some left over spaghetti and wanted to jazz it up. Posted a story saying this was a good one and bam! So many of you wanted to try. So, without further ado, I will quickly share the drill. What do you need: • 1 medium cup of Cooked/Boiled Spaghetti • 1 medium cup of Boiled Soya Chunks • Sliced Bell Peppers • 1 chopped Onions • 1 chopped Tomato • A cup of chopped Mushrooms • 1 Tsp. of Sweet Chilli Sauce • 1 Tsp. of Peri Peri Hummus • Seasoning: 1/2 Tsp. Garam Masala, Chilli and Cumin Powder, chilli flakes, all purpose seasoning . • For the Soy Chunks: 1. In a skillet, heat oil and add the chopped onions. Sauté until golden brown. 2. Add the tomatoes, garam masala chilli and cumin powder and sauté well. 3. Let this cook on a medium flame for sometime. 4. Add some red and green chopped bell peppers. Some water and let this simmer for 4-5 minutes on a low flame. 5. Add the soy chunks, when the water is all absorbed and bell peppers are all cooked and sauté really well. 6. Add the salt and mix everything well. 7. Add a tsp. of sweet chilli sauce. Sauté for 3-5 minutes intermittently. 8. Turn off the flame and add a little tsp. of peri peri hummus for jazzing it up. . • For the Spaghetti: 1. You can cook it anway you want to. Or in a pan, add some oil and just sauté some onions and bell peppers. 2. Add a little water for the bell peppers let it cook for 5 minutes on a low flame. 3. Add some shrooms, sauté and add seasoning like chilli flakes and all purpose seasoning. 4. Add the spaghetti to this and toss everything well. 5. Add salt and pepper to taste. How are you dealing with the lockdown? . . . Just finished watching Part 4 of La Casa de Papel/Money Heist and I am 🤐. Also, I have the hugest crush on @alvaromorte! Thank you @netflix_in @netflix @lacasadepapel @lacasadepapeltv for making this weekend amazing. Honestly, I am making sure in my own little ways that I don’t become a Netflix Zombie in this period of isolation. Apart from keeping myself busy at all times, staying connected with my loved ones, listening to amaze music, little reading and writing, household chores and the terrace workout which is basically the highlight of my day, here’s how my flatmate and I are dealing with our nutritional needs. 1. Things we stock up weekly: Nut Milk, Buttermilk, Protein Bars, Hardy Vegetables and Fruits like potatoes, capsicums, beans, okra, carrots, oranges, apples, banana, etc. Also, we have been lucky to source Broccoli and Spinach too. 2. For our protein-licious needs: Stocked up some packets of Paneer, Tofu and eggs so that we are sorted for a couple of weeks. But our true hero is Soyabean though BTW! 3. We also stocked up some Rajma, Lentils, Spaghetti and Rice. No panic buying though. Just small packs of each. 4. Snacking: Nut butters and Makhane for the win. A little chocolate too, honestly. 5. Apart from this, we have some coffee and protein supplements to our rescue too. Also, we are cutting down a little on carbs, focusing more on satiating foods and are having smaller meals (Read: Not a big fan) but you gotta do what you gotta do because we are essentially cooped in our rooms for most part of the day. Annnnd oh, drinking up loads of water! It helps! We are trying to do the best we can. In all honesty, I know we are privileged enough to be doing so well in a difficult situation like this and I am utterly grateful for every meal we put on our plates these days. Stay safe and at home. Creamy Mushroom Garlic Sauce and Paneer/Tofu Vegetarian/Vegan Steak (Read: Fight me non-vegetarians!🧟‍♀️) . . . Quarantine cooking has been awesome. Loving the work from home meal life as I have just ordered in twice this week which is a feat in itself. This is special dish courtesy Chef and Kitchen Scientist, @unnatideep and it tastes amaze! Had sent some to @coach.fatboy who has approved it too. Phew! Here’s what you need: 1. For the Mushroom and Garlic Sauce: • 200 gms of cleaned and sliced mushrooms • 4-5 cloves of finely chopped garlic • 4-5 Tbsp. of almond milk or milk of choice • 1 Tbsp. of Cooking Olive Oil • Seasoning: All purpose seasoning, thyme, garlic powder, chilli flakes, pepper, salt to taste and onion flakes for garnish. 2. For the steak: • 200-400 gms of Paneer/Tofu considering you need 100 gms per person. • Half a cup of choice of yogurt. Cashew/Peanut yogurt for my vegan friends! • 1/2 tsp. Ginger Garlic Paste • All purpose seasoning • 1/2 Tsp. olive oil How to go about it? • Mix the yogurt, ginger garlic paste and seasoning, cut the paneer/tofu slabs in half and marinade this for 30-40 minutes. • Let’s make the sauce now! In a heated pan, pour olive oil and throw in the garlic and sauté until golden brown on a medium flame. • Add the mushrooms and sauté again and let it for a 5 minutes on a low flame. • Once done, let this cool and then blitz it in a blender to form a paste. • Pour this paste on the same pan again, add the almond milk and let it cook on a low flame for a couple of minutes until you get a creamy consistency. • Throw in the seasoning and mix it well. Let this again cook on a low flame for 3-5 minutes. • For the paneer/Tofu, on a pan heat a tsp. of olive oil and just pan fry it until golden brown on each side. • Once done, put the Paneer/Tofu on a plate, pour the sauce on it and garnish with some rosemary and onion flakes. We ate this with some spinach sautéed in garlic and a dash of lime on the side. But you can eat this with a little sautéed veggies on the side too. Also, this sauce is pretty versatile and can be used for pasta as well. Damn, so much typing! Byeee gotta rest my fingers🧟‍♀️

It was just last to last weekend when I was telling my friend that all I want to do for the weekend was to stay at home and do nothing while she was coaxing me to go out. Now, here we are stuck in what feels like a perennial real-life episode of The Walking Dead. Only a little less dangerous though.🤷🏽‍♀️Classic example of careful what you wish for? And while my Instagram feed is all about home workout videos, I am finding it a little hard to align my thoughts and JUST workout. Maybe I need to revamp my workout playlist. Maybe I miss my old home which was spacious enough for a quick home workout. Maybe it’s the lack of motivation and guidance. Damn, I miss my coaches and group classes. Never gonna miss any, no matter how busy things get. Maybe it’s just me overthinking. Definitely, it’s the amalgamation of all of the above points. Doesn’t take two to Mango! 🥭 . . . Looking at the brighter side, social distancing means healthy snacking at home. Also, my bae, mango, is back and also tastes the right amount of sweet and amazing! So, made some Mangolicious Chia Pudding last weekend for a couple of my friends. It serves as an easy peasy and healthy dessert/snack/breakfast. I ate it for dessert and as a part of my breakfast the next day. . You will need the following for 2 servings: - 1/4 cup of chia seeds - 200 ml of coconut/almond/any milk of choice (Read: I would highly recommend coconut.) - 1/2 a medium sized mango diced into pieces - 3-4 diced strawberries, optional - A pinch of Cinnamon - 1 tsp. of natural vanilla extract, optional - 1-2 drops of Stevia liquid or 1/2 tsp. Honey, optional - 1/2 tsp. of pumpkin seeds How do you go about it? - Mix the chia seeds, milk, vanilla, stevia or choice of sweetner in a bowl and refrigerate for an hour. - In a bowl/mason jar/whatever-floats-your-boat, stack this mixture and then freshly cut mangoes and strawberries. - Garnish with some nuts/seeds/mint. Summery one again! . . . Summer is really here, man. And I detest it with all my heart. 🤦🏽‍♀️ But then I always try to make up for that hatred with fooooood. So, the other day while I was having a pretty shitty day, @monicaudenia made me a Fruitilicious Snack because she’s the real snacccccc! Made that again today for her because it’s #IWD2020. So, quickly sharing the recipe here. Here’s what you will need: • Freshly diced fruits- I used Strawberries, Grapes, Apple, Pomegranate arils • Freshly cut mint • A little cup of Yogurt diluted to the desired consistency • Salt, pepper and littttttle bit of honey How do you go about it? • Mix it all together. And that’s it! • Chill it for 15-20 minutes and you can have your snack for a snack.😏 . My goto summery salad . . . Summer is upon us. Don’t fight me, it is in Bangalore! So, when I got a huge watermelon as a gift (Read: I have weird friends), I jazzed it up into a summery side salad which is extremely easy to make. This is what you will need: • A bowl of Diced Watermelon • A small cup of Feta cheese. I got it from @simpli_namdharis because they had at a pretty reasonable price. • Some chopped mint leaves • 1 diced orange (Optional) For the salad dressing: • 1 Tbsp. of lemon juice • 1/2 tsp. of extra virgin olive oil • Pinch of pepper and salt How do you go about it? • In a salad bowl, add the fruits, mint leaves and add the salad dressing. ✨ Feel Good Skin by @thecosmixway ✨ . . . Though I am no skin-care connoisseur but I am a staunch believer of the fact that skin care begins from within.
