Recipe : Quinoa and paneer tikki Ingredients : 1. Quinoa:-1/4th cup 2. Paneer :- 3-4 pieces 3. Curd :- ยฝ to 1 spoon โ€“ to bind 4. Onion:- ยฝ (small) 5. Salt 6. Red chilli 7. Garam masala 8. Coriander leaves 9. Green chilli 10. Turmeric Preparation : 1. Bring the quinoa and water to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until the quinoa is tender and the water has been absorbed, about 15-20 mins. 2. Mix the quinoa, paneer, curd, onion, salt and other spices. 3. Form the mixture into 2-3 small patties. 4. Heat the olive oil (1/2 spoon) in a non-stick pan. 5.Cook the tikki in the hot oil until heated through, 2 to 3 minutes per side. 6. With the temperatures rising and the summer sun in its full blazing glory, spending time in the kitchen is now becoming a little torturous. Pune's weather has changed drastically from what it used to be earlier. I remember the time when we did not even need the fan on some days in May. Then came a time when we bought a cooler. It is just a few years ago that we finally decided to buy the ac. And this year, even that is submitting to the terrible humidity and heat. I am living on fruits and salads these days. And keep the fridge stocked with sprouts and boiled legumes. I just mix everything with some raw vegetables and have my fill. Like today I made this salad for lunch. I had boiled #chickpeas , #sproutedmoong , chopped onions, tomatoes, green chillies, cucumbers, olives, grapes, ovendriedtomatoes and lettuce greens. No fancy dressing .... just a good squeeze of lemon and some chilli flakes. B added some #italianseasonings like parsley and thyme to his bowl. I had thought of adding some desi seasoning like roasted jeera powder but then decided not to. Please don't laugh .... I am a desi at heart ๐Ÿ˜€ This #coldsalad is very filling, extremely refreshing and absolutely #fatfree / #oilfree . I have long given up eating packaged food , so no sauces or mayo in my dressing. We held our respective bowls and settled down to watch Gangubai Kathiawadi. I did spy the sky's turning dark and soon thunder and rain came crashing down. Lasted for a long while. This is MY FAVOURITE NAVRATRA FOOD! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ Try this healthy makhana kheer recipe and tell me how you like it: Serves 2 Ingredients: -50 gms Makhana -400 ml almond milk - Jaggery or Khaand -as per taste -1 tsp kesar - 3-4 tablespoons Dry fruits ( slightly grinded) -1 tablespoon ghee Method: - Roast the makhanas and dry fruits in half a tablespoon of ghee until slightly crisp. Deficient in nutrition and loaded with calories, bakery products can definitely be an ENEMY to weight loss and moreover good health. Whether itโ€™s a snack with tea or mid night cravings, we end up reaching out to these sweet devils that only leave us wanting more. Most commercially available biscuits have this one deadly ingredient- Palm Oil which has been linked to many health related issues. Recipe : Amaranth, Tofu and Vegetable Tikki Ingredients:- 1. Amaranth:-1/4th cup 2. Tofu- 3-4 pieces 3. Boiled Potato :- ยฝ small 4. Onion:- ยฝ (small) 5. Bell pepper: 1 small 6. Salt 7. Red chilli 8. Garam masala 9. Coriander leaves 10. Green chilli 11. Turmeric 12. Olive oil-1/2 spoon Preparation:- 1. Bring the amaranth and water to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until the amaranth is tender and the water has been absorbed, about 10 to 15 minutes. 2. Mix the amaranth, tofu, mashed potato, chopped bell pepper, onion, salt, and other spices. 3. Form the mixture make into 2-3 small tikki. 4. Heat the olive oil (1/2 spoon) in a non-stick pan. 5. Cook the tikki in the hot oil until heated through, 2 to 3 minutes per side. 6.
