A friend and I were having a wonderful conversation earlier and the topic of unconditional love came up and I immediately thought of the love Michael J. Fox and Tracey Pollan have for each other and brought their love for each other up in the conversation. As we were talking about that I got emotional. Lately I have been thinking a lot about people’s behavior, in real life and here on social media. One thing I can’t understand, it’s jealousy. Why adults get jealous? I’m not talking only about my experiences, I have heard this so much from other’s too. It makes me sad. I understand that jealousy is so common when you’re younger. But why between adult people? I made that sketch in the beginning of last year; at a time when I was struggling with anxiety and contentment. Last year, it was very hard for me to find reasons to keep creating art. I would be so inspired to create but didn’t have the motivation or inertia to get up and create it. When I created that sketch I cried and felt so frustrated because I didn’t like what I was creating but I was proud of myself for getting up and creating; it was a bittersweet process. Last year, I felt so lost, exhausted, and frazzled. Everyday I had to affirm myself that this was just a phase that I had to work through and would get through; trying to stay positive and patient was annoying as hell. I searched for so many sources and had to be very vulnerable with my family and loved ones so that I could find the balance within myself and feel supported. Life has really been taking it out on me for the past few months as many of you know. Then the last couple weeks I severely sprained my ankle (apparently I don't know how to walk 😅) and my beloved cat Nana was taken away too soon by malpractice from a vet. I've been trying so hard to keep my head up. I've received so much support from my friends it's been incredible. And I'm glad I've made myself go to the shows we had tickets for even if they were a struggle both physically and mentally. I love being in the rave community, the amount of kindness and support I received from strangers has been incredibly helpful during this time. And last night we even got to meet Eliminate who has been one our favorite artists for years. I have to keep reminding myself to take in all the good moments, even if they are small and momentary. Because when they add up they become life ❤️

A lot of times, we’re so quick to judge people, especially by the things they do or say, when it doesn’t align with the things that we ourselves typically wouldn’t do or say. But take a moment and just imagine if we all were completely the same! We said the same things, joked the same way, did things the same way, tasted everything the same way, saw life the same way... Life on Earth would truly be boring and bland as hell!! Just because you go about doing things a certain way does not make the next person less or even more than you. We are all created different, which means we all have our own uniqueness. It’s just that for some people, their uniqueness comes with a name that’s attached to it. Just because some people may talk differently, learn differently, or go about doing basic things differently, doesn’t mean they should be treated differently. Yes, some people may need extra help with things, but at the same time, we all deserve love, happiness, the opportunity to laugh, and to live life to the fullest within our own means. We are all different, and we all perceive things differently. So I’m trying to push and motivate people to find that greatness within themselves, whether they have a name attached to their uniqueness or not. Once I find how I can get my message across to you or how I can push you to become your best self or use your uniqueness to make some sort of difference in the world, then that’s what I’m going to do. And you can best believe there’s going to be some jokes in there and we will laugh about it along the way, even if your uniqueness is different from the majority of people around the world because you deserve to laugh too, and to be pushed to step outside that comfort zone to have the courage to do certain things that people thought were impossible for you!! let’s not forget about the ones who aren’t like you. I had no idea when I went to the library yesterday that I would not only get to read a book that made me emotional that I’m still thinking about this morning but I would also get to have a really, really amazing conversation with 2 people I met there. ❤️ As I was sitting there, this lady sits down next to me and we start talking, which leads to them talking about a book they got from the library called “The Giving Tree.” I told them that I was surprised that I had never heard of the book even though I’ve loved to read from a young age. We talk a bit more and they then give me the book and tell me to read it slowly and to pay attention to the pictures. So I start reading it, taking in all of the words and pictures like they told me to, and I start getting emotional the more I read. By the time I finish the book I have tears in my eyes, and we then talk some about the book. I was so touched by how the tree kept giving (and expecting nothing in return) to the boy who then grows up over the course of the book. The power of love was so beautiful to see. ❤️ The conversation then goes in different directions. We talked about things like racism, some of the kindness we’ve experienced in this lifetime, our childhood, etc… There was a person near us who we then also start talking to, and the conversation went in even more different directions. We talked about our mental health struggles, suicide awareness, our love for Indian food, some of our goals in life, etc. For over 2.5 hours we all gave each other such a safe space and we also made each other feel so seen and heard. Even though we had just met that day it felt to me like we had known each other for years.
