Tonight may you be blessed by His healing rest ♥️ If you have the blend acceptance go ahead and rub a couple drops on the back of your neck and across your shoulders. Take a couple deep breaths and let the tension roll away. Resting with Him is one of the best places! To rest, I hand Jesus the burdens and weights that I was never meant to carry. They're safe with Him. To rest, I release what I can't change or control. To rest, I ask the Holy Spirit to help me...rest. Sometimes my rest includes a worship song, talking with Jesus, prayer, listening to or reading scripture, taking a walk...it's being present with Him. No distractions. He gets my full attention. Rest is... resistance...essential...okay...health...peace...love...mental health...allyship...nature...necessary...honoring...your right...personal...collective...power... self care...healing It's Sunday here and I'm resting in the way I am choosing ...with coffee in my bird cup gifted to me from a student ...with books and magazines to read and ponder over for a while ...outside mostly listening to the birds, the fountain, and noticing what presents itself ...wearing my oh so very thick glasses seldom if ever seen by others ...and thinking about all sorts of things -the state of the world, the sun, the Palenstine sunbird, my mother Fran, the seeds in the garden and the bird feeders, resisting getting up to do for now I know that my inclination to rest with more intention on Sunday mornings is a reflection of my grandmother saying, "Lynne (my middle name) on Sundays we rest and praise God for the week ahead". She was the wife to a minister and mother of her A.M.E. church. The only work she permitted herself was to make her Folger's coffee in the percolator. 🌟 surrender 🌟 I don’t know about you, but I have no Idea what is going on anymore. I feel like I’m shifting dimensions and realities constantly and right now I’m in this hibernation bubble, where I have no choice but to rest and be still… This was so annoying in the beginning, because my human had to do so much :D, but I gave in and it felt very healing. I kept pushing myself and my body for the last year without taking good care… My mind wants to do so many things..meet people, create, explore, expand, birth all my bubbles of creation into existence.. But all I can do now is surrender and let go ..of all my plans..all the things I want to do.. I realized a lot of things about my self-worth in the past few month, because I felt for a long time in my life that I have to prove myself constantly doing something and if couldn’t create at least I had to read, right? Only then I spent my time in a valuable way, only than I proved to myself that I’m worthy of existing. But that’s not what life is about… I thought I worked through those beliefs but it turned out that there are always deeper layers to explore and now the universe left me no choice but to be still, rest and heal.. Every day on our retreat we would focus on one ☝️ word. A word that would bubble to the surface once we got quiet 🤫 in the mind 🧠 and started to listen as the body whispers. Maybe it’s a feeling in that moment, maybe it’s a word that you need to surrender to, maybe it’s something you need to work on, but it’s your word of INTENTION for the day. 🦋 My closing word was: “ENOUGH” My souls lesson in this life time is that I can give everything and still have enough for myself. My tendency is to hold back because of fear that I don’t have enough for me.
