Well it’s the end of the first quarter of school and David brought home an invitation for the awards assembly. I was so surprised and proud of him as he earned THREE awards. He is on A/B honor roll, met his Accelerated Reader Goal, and is Student of the Month for October. He worked really hard this quarter as he fell behind a bit and it was a big hurdle to get caught back up. I am always so proud of this kid, but he always seems to surprise me. 4th grade seems to be where he is finding his place. I'm in such awe of her tenacity and determination....🥰 You see last Monday afternoon she tried the rock climbing wall after pool time and slipped and fell. She ended up hitting her chin with her knee which resulted in her biting her tongue really hard that ended up with a mouth full of blood and a gash on her tongue🤦♀️ So our day ended with a visit at CityMd. I'm so thankful I was able to be with her and thank God she didn't need stitches 🙏 It's just pretty bruised and will heal on its own with lots of hugs and love from her mama! 💕

Our friend, Grant, ran the 5k today at the Cherry Festival. Grant is a loving, generous, motivating and caring able bodied person, who is also a spastic quadriplegic. Though he’s only 3.5, he’s moved once, said goodbye to a bunch of folks who were milestones from the beginning. This kid is incredible ♥️ Playing a guitar 🎸 is the toughest out of instruments to learn. Playing instruments raises a child’s IQ level. The right side of the brain is amazing. Hence, the right brain is also connected to: imagination holistic thinking intuition arts rhythm nonverbal cues feelings visualization daydreaming He was able to learn within two weeks, just by watching YouTube videos, than learning what strings to use. World Heart Day 2021 ❤ Maximus Ragnar my heart warrior, born with Hypertrophoid Right Ventricle Apex and Mild Apical RVH with RV Truncation. At my 20 week scan I was told too terminate my pregnancy with Maximus as I was told he wouldn't survive due to the severity of his heart condition. If I didn't ask for a second opinion Maximus wouldn't be here today. Birmingham Women's & Children's Hospital has been absolutely incredible from the day I went after being told to terminate him, through every scan, to making a plan with Telford for the birth. And to every appointment now Maximus is here where he has 6 monthly checks. This little star is on day 18 of no ventilator in the day time! It’s crazy to think this time 2 months ago she was almost relying on it 24 hours a day and we really thought the worst ♥️ we are still taking every day as it comes and counting our blessings for every minute but slowly getting her back to her normal!
