After two months in my new apartment, I was finally able to acquire a bed frame. Since moving my mattress off the floor, it has become very apparent to me that I need to get a new mattress as soon as possible. My current mattress is the one I was given at transitional housing. I was able to keep it when I moved out because of the condition it’s in. The bed frame I was provided while I was in transitional housing was not good quality at all. It broke in multiple places in less than a year. The middle legs did not stay upright and would become slanted any time I was on my bed, which caused the mattress to dip in the middle (see photo 1/3). And many of the support wires popped loose, making several rips on the bottom of the mattress (see photo 2/3). In the three days my mattress has been on the new bed frame, several small chunks of mattress foam have already fallen to the floor below. This is not a good situation now and definitely will not be a good situation long-term. Especially since I have scoliosis and sleeping on a bad mattress will only cause me more pain over time. I’ve found a well-reviewed mattress from Nectar Sleep with a ten-year protection plan that will cost $430 with taxes and a 40% “first-time customer” discount (see photo 3/3). At this moment, I do not know when/if this discount will change or go away completely. So it would be best if I ordered the mattress sooner rather than later. Auftragsvergabe Spielplatzprojekt Gossa - aktueller Sachstand 02.05.2024 💪 Die Mitglieder des Bau- und Vergabeausschusses stimmten heute der Auftragsvergabe für den neuen Spielplatz in Gossa zu. Damit können wir nun die Lieferung und den fachgerechten Einbau der gewünschten Spielgeräte im Wertumfang von knapp 49.000 Euro beauftragen. Aufgrund der voraussichtlich mehrwöchigen Lieferfristen werden wir den neuen Spielplatz zwar leider noch nicht zum 01. Juni 2024 einweihen können; das Projekt an sich ist jedoch gesichert, nachdem die erste Ausschreibung erfolglos blieb. Zusätzlich zu den von der Gemeinde Muldestausee zur Verfügung gestellten 30.000 Euro Haushaltsmittel konnten wir knapp 25.000 Euro (!) Spenden für das Projekt einwerben, ohne die das Vorhaben nicht hätte realisiert werden können. In den nächsten Tagen informieren wir zunächst alle Spender und Sponsoren zum aktuellen Sachstand und werden zum weiteren Verlauf informieren, wenn uns die Lieferfristen bekannt sind. Vorab werden durch die Gemeinde bereits notwendige Tiefbauarbeiten erledigt und die Anlage des Bolzplatzes durchgeführt. Wir bitten wegen der noch folgenden Bauarbeiten darum, den Bereich bis zur Fertigstellung der Anlagen zur eigenen Sicherheit nicht zu betreten.
