You could serve this burrito to any non vegan and they would never know the scramble was made from plants. Added cheddar style shreds and one slice Jalapeño chao cheeze to scrambled “eggs” once almost cooked. Heated four @fieldroast apple sausage style breakfast links. Made diner style home fries out of three red potatoes and 1 tbsp minced red onion and green bell pepper. To assemble I spread 1 tbsp special sauce vegan mayo on warm tortilla. Added 3 halved “sausage” links. Then around 3 tbsp homefries, and topped with cheezy Just egg mixture. Wrapped up tight and tossed it in a hot cast iron and seared the bottom. So delicious. Two days back through social media we came to know about a pregnant cow at Palakkad district, who was extremely sick, and couldn't walk on her own. When we called them, they agreed that we could take her to our sanctuary to treat her. Her condition is critical. For transportation and unloading itself the expense was 15k+ rupees. Exhibit A: Dairy company, Dutch Lady, has made a series of feel-good YouTube ads about everyday Malaysian heroes who attempt to make the world a better place while cleverly placing its products throughout each ad as hints. While I applaud the thought that has gone into highlighting the initiatives of the featured humans, these ads just scream try-hard to people like me who know better than to fall for these historically repetitive tricks of making dairy products look good to distract consumers from the real costs of dairy to the victims of the dairy industry. In this day and age, when a wide variety of cruelty-free alternatives to dairy such as oat milk, soy milk, pea milk, cashew milk, almond milk, hazelnut milk, rice milk, coconut milk and whatever plant-based milk is invented are available, consumers and companies are making the switch. It's sad that some companies including Dutch Lady have not evolved in this aspect and continue to be delusional about the impact of their businesses on animals (as well as the side effects on the environment and health). The filling is umamitastic mushrooms and green onions. The bun is made from 45% hydration dough ( all purpose flour) with 3 gm of instant yeast. Let rise for thirty minutes, then roll , pack and steam. It pairs well with our very own spicy tomato chutney. It’s made with almonds, ginger, red chilies and fresh tomatoes. Simple, healthy, and delicious! We had Maafe, with our spin, for dinner last night. It’s a west African stew with veggies in a peanut butter sauce. We used carrots, onions, potatoes and spinach from our weekly veg box ( @vegboxpeople ). For spicing things up we put in hand crushed garlic and red 🌶! Let it cook for two hours in our trusty Dutch oven on low temp. Poured it over rice and enjoyed it. Ingredients 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 . 250gr halved and boiled salad potatoes (or any boiling potatoes) 1 medium diced kohlrabi 1 medium diced apple 1 medium diced tomato 2 chopped sprigs onions (reserve half) 1tsp of chopped dill Salt & pepper to taste 2tbsp vegan mayo - I used @hellmannsuk 20gr chopped walnuts .
