Klein gelukje #39 Het hele weekend hebben we gewerkt om mijn serretje klaar te maken. Alle onkruid eruit, bakken gemaakt van oude paletten, karton en grond gelegd. Ik vind het best gezellig geworden voor een plastieken serre. Mijn grote droom is een prachtige glazen serre maar dan moeten we eerst de lotto winnen 😉 Straks kan ik beginnen met mijn plantjes om te planten. En deze keer kunnen ze niet opgegeten worden door hertjes of ollie. En wie weet hebben we dan dit jaar wel eens goede tomaten. Vorige jaren bleven ze groen of gingen ze rotten door teveel vocht. Wer hat den Längsten? Im Garten eine selbstverständliche Frage 😉 Ich freue mich sehr über die ganzen Regenwürmer, egal ob groß oder klein. Aber warum ist er so wichtig? Da habe ich einen kleinen Beitrag von @nabu gefunden: "Er gräbt freiwillig um, kompostiert altes Laub und düngt mit seinem nährstoffreichen Kot den Garten. Durch sein stetiges Graben belüftet der Regenwurm außerdem den Boden und schichtet Nährstoffe von unten nach oben. Auf einem Boden mit vielen Regenwurm-Gängen staut sich keine Nässe, sondern die Erde saugt den Regen auf wie ein Schwamm. Auch Pflanzenwurzeln und wichtige Bodenorganismen haben es in lockerem Boden leichter. [...] Wenn sich der Wurm das zersetzte Blatt einverleibt, nimmt er auch größere Mengen Erde auf. Im Darm wird das Ganze mit Pilzen und Bakterien vermischt. Der Kot von Regenwürmern ist nichts anderes als besonders gute Erde. Bodenbiologen haben herausgefunden, dass ein Regenwurmhäufchen ein besserer Dünger ist als ist als die gleiche Menge Kompost." Ziemniaki, kartofle, pyrki! 🥔 Nazywamy je różnie, ale wszyscy kochamy ♥️😁 Ziemniak to bardzo ważne warzywo w moim jadłospisie, szczególnie z uwagi na połączenie puree+jajko sadzone+kapusta kiszona 😀 Dlatego postanowiłam zobaczyć wygląda uprawa ziemniaków, okazuje się, że samo sadzenie jest bardzo proste. Ja wybrałam uprawę w workach. Worki są filcowe, kupiłam je w Internecie, mają przepuszczać wodę. 🥔 do worka nasypałam około 20cm ziemi z grządki, którą likwidowałam (kilkuletnia grządka typu hugelkultur) 🥔położyłam podkiełkowane ziemniaki - 2 worki to ziemniaki bio z Lidla odmiana Gala, jeden worek to ziemniak nieznanego pochodzenia, który mi smakował 😅 Nie kupowałam sadzeniaków, chociaż wiem, że z takimi wyselekcjonowanymi ziemniakami powodzenie uprawy jest większe. Zobaczymy 🤞🏻 🥔 zasypałam ziemniaki tą samą ziemią, dosłownie kilka centymetrów, żeby tylko je przykryć. Podlałam. 🥔 teraz czekamy, aż pojawią się pierwsze pędy. To znak, że ziemniaka trzeba przysypać. Tym razem będzie to kompost. Po drodze będę podlewać je gnojówkami. Zobaczymy co z tego będzie! Macie jakieś wskazówki? Pytania? Sind aufgrund von Lichtmangel etwas spargelig geworden und mussten nun näher an die Lichtquelle. Herhalten musste eine 17,5W Deckenleuchte (LED) und der bekannte 50W LED Strahler. HPL Lampe wurde bestellt und kommt bald an. Take a look at these water chestnuts! They have sprouted! Don't they look awesome and cool? A couple of weeks ago, I used a few remaining water chestnuts and experimented to see if they could be regrown. I immersed a number of them in water and after a few days, a number of them decayed but left 3 that have sprouted. New long leaves have been sprouted among them with tiny roots beneath the bulb, beginning with their 2nd lease of life! (great to boil them with sugarcane that will help to cool down our body) I am so excited and happy regrowing the water chestnuts without seeds! I hope they can grow well over time and if so, I will transplant them to bigger pots or into the ground in due time. Fingers crossed. Loaded with natural source of NPK , calcium, magnesium, copper, zinc ,sulphur ,iron, manganese..this is a fermented mixture of mustard oil cake and cow dung with little limestone powder fermented in water for 3 days. Applied in a ratio of 1:10 ,1 part mixture 10 parts water... 1 jug of the solution to all potted plants and 2 jugs or tumblers to plants in soil. And just like that, April has passed in a literal shower of rain… the small waterbutt I installed on the shed is nearly full already! I still need to connect the big one to the house downpipe. It probably won’t be long until Kent sees a hosepipe ban again! I know it seems simple once you’ve done it, but diy jobs like that scare me a little - cutting through a perfect less-than-2-years-old-downpipe to connect the waterbutt is a bit scary to me 🫣 The unfurling of the acer is possibly the garden highlight of the month! The roses are budding. Still haven’t finished painting the fences as I got side-tracked with wallpaper scraping in the “dining room” (which barely fits a table!). I uhm-ed and ah-ed a long time before choosing this fence colour but now I think it has turned out amazing. Apart from brightening the place up, it will look amazing next month against the pink roses. Gardening is all about vision, patience and hard work/cracking on with it - but it’s also so rewarding when it all comes together The patio is the job for the summer - still deciding whether I want to stencil it or whether I’ll be regretting that in two years time (anyone done it? Does it start to look tacky?)
