Take a beat💓 Often, in our busy lives, we are so busy 'doing' we neglect our inner landscape. That is to say, we become disconnected with what is going on in the mind and the body because we are too busy being distracted by the external world. We are often reminded that we are ignoring ourselves because we become ill, or it may manifest as feeling a bit 'meh' yet not truly understanding why. I regularly give myself the space to have 'check in time' - an opportunity to be, to notice with curiosity how I feel, and perhaps modify my behaviour if things begin to feel funky. Learning firstly, how to become more aware of your inner landscape is key 🔑 to being able to change unhelpful behaviours and patterns. Even spending a moment looking at a beautiful bloom, becoming aware of how being in that moment, looking, noting, and noticing how it makes you feel can be a simple start. Many people find that meditation 🧘♀️ ✨️ is difficult as the mind is too full of crap. Even sitting in the 💩 can be hard, but noticing and perhaps using the breath as an anchor can help, too. This past week has been been a whirl wind of positivity and connectivity! We attended a two day #batmitvah of festivities, traditional Judaic ceremonies and dancing. We made deep connections and meaningful relationships. Soon after our wonderful friends whose daughter was Bat Mitvahed invited us to an impromptu Jewish wedding ceremony under the #chupah. My week did not end there! After attending women’s events and attending our daughters after school activities I knew it was time for me to regenerate myself with a little peace and restoration. ☮️ 🕊️ This morning I treated myself to some R&R at a retreat full of sound baths and yoga mediations. From life changes (3rd child and buying a house), through depression and really low time (yes, I don't speak about it often...) to personal growth. Learning how to be on your own when some relationships cooled down and slowly drifted away. Getting use to just the 5 of us instead of a busy, always full of people house. Falling in love with nature and prayerful meditation. Discovering your own potential, new hobbies and what you're capable of. Forgiving what's in the past, living in the moment and creating future instead of just dreaming about it. Letting go of emotion that are holding you back and trying not to live in "what if", learning not to feel guilty for things that where not in your power (or at least not just yours).
