I’ll review a Disney Pixar animation film title that I watched 🎥🎞️ Monsters University (2013) モンスターズ・ユニバーシティ This movie is the 2nd film in the popular Pixar animated series “Monsters, Inc.” (2001) for 12 years. It tells the story of how Sully and Mike met in their school days and ended up forming a duo of scarers. The plot of movie is about, Mike has dreamed of becoming a scaremonger since he was a child, he overcame the obstacle and entered the Monsters University School of Scare. However, to be a scarer, he spends his days plagued by the fatal flaw of looking too cute. One day, Mike meets Sully who comes from a prestigious family and he has a talent for scaring. Mike sees Sully as a rival, but Sully has a full of confidence, he doesn’t even look at Mike. Mike has never given up on his dreams, he enters a scare competition to determine the “scariest scaremonger” My thoughts about this film, It tells the story of the birth of the famous duo of Mike and Sully. Mike is a cute monster but he doesn’t look scary, he’s so much energized by the way he tries again and again without giving up. On the other hand, Sully had already talented as scaring, but he was youthful and a little overconfident, but his interactions with Mike and his teammates seemed to shape Sully in the later Monsters Inc. . En Avant - Réalisé par Dan Scanlon (2020) . Synopsis: Dans la banlieue d’un univers imaginaire, deux frères elfes se lancent dans une quête extraordinaire pour découvrir s’il reste encore un peu de magie dans le monde. . Mon avis: Cette production Pixar se révèle être une très belle surprise! Le réalisateur nous offre un film profondément personnel à l’univers singulier. En Avant se déroule dans un monde fantastique où la technologie a remplacé la magie. Dans cet univers, deux frères vont découvrir un étrange cadeau de leur père décédé des années plus tôt, un cadeau capable de ramener leur père défunt à la vie durant 24h et pouvoir ainsi apprendre à le connaître. Le réalisateur s’est inspiré de son histoire très personnelle, où lui et son frère n’ont pu connaître leur père, décédé alors qu’ils n’étaient que jeunes enfants. Cette inspiration se ressent réellement dans le film, transpirant l’authenticité de son propos. Entre road-movie, quête identitaire et aventure chevaleresque d’heroic fantasy, le film tire son épingle du jeu par la multitude de thématiques abordées: quête du pere, affirmation de soi, le pardon, le deuil, la recherche d’aventure ou la relation fraternelle. Des éléments qui sont traités avec une vraie sincérité et intelligence, notamment via un final au pouvoir lacrymal indéniable et assez surprenant de maturité. La force du film réside véritablement dans la simplicité et la sincérité avec laquelle sont retranscrits les liens familiaux. Ce monde d’heroic fantasy est utilisé également avec beaucoup de malice, la découverte de l’utilisation de la magie pouvant correspondre à une métaphore de l’affirmation de soi de ce jeune elfe sans confiance en lui. Sans posséder la meilleure mise en scène que nous ai produit Pixar, le film reste très joli visuellement, extrêmement bien animé et avec un style graphique épousant bien sa direction artistique. Drôle, attachant, rythmé et émotionnellement fort, le film se révèle être un premier pas de grande qualité pour le studio dans cette nouvelle décennie! Quoi de mieux que de faire revivre la magie pour nous émerveiller ? . Ma citation préférée: "I never had a dad, but I always had you."

"Onward" (2020) Having successfully made a Pixar feature about monsters in college, "Monsters University" director Dan Scanlon presented an original fantasy-adventure-comedy that took mystical worlds and creatures and put them in a contemporary setting. But "Onward" really centers on two elf brothers who use a magical wizard staff to bring their late father back to life to spend one day with him. The siblings soon get literally half of what they expected before embarking on a cross-country quest. MCU pros Tom Holland and Chris Pratt are perfectly cast as siblings Ian and Barley, respectively, as they drive around in a VW (known as Guenivere), encounter a warrior-turned-hostess Manticore (voiced by Octavia Spencer) and some biker fairies, and spend what little time they have with the father that Ian never knew (an impressive feat of character animation that's a cross between the anthropomorphic pants from Dr. Seuss's "What Was I Scared Of," and the road-trip comedy "Weekend at Bernies"). Despite a few crude elements, the film highlights familial themes and the life-affirming role of surrogate father figures ("I never had a father, but I always had you"). It's a poignant message in an overall fun and entertaining movie. TRIVIAL FACT: This was the last Pixar feature to get a theatrical release before the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Para variar un poco y no ver Cars por enésima vez, he optado por una de las que tenía en la lista de pendientes. No soy muy fan de la fantasía y las aventuras de capa y espada, aún así me ha parecido una bonita y conmovedora historia de amor fraternal, de los más puros y verdaderos que existen.
