Derfor vidste jeg heller, hvad jeg skulle forvente... ville den mon stadig være i live? Men heldigvis overraskende frisk i frugten. Jordbær, mynte, kaffe og skovbund. Fløjlsblød og friske bær i munden. Havde nok været en bedre oplevelse for 5-10 år siden. Savory red cherries, raspberries, and wild strawberries dominate the nose, complemented by notes of leafy garden herbs, citrus oils, and earthy, flinty minerals. On the palate, it presents a compact, narrow structure with layers of flavor. The sweet and sour fruit purity is accentuated by the presence of rich flinty minerals. A touch of balsamic and citrus on the back palate adds to its overall complexity. This well-crafted wine has significant aging potential. 🗺️ France 🇫🇷 📍Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy 🏠 Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet 🍷Gevrey-Chambertin 2021 🍇 100% Pinot Noir ℹ️ Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet is run by the young winemaker Amélie Berthaut, who currently oversees approximately 18ha of vineyards located in Fixin, Vosne-Romanée, Gevrey-Chambertin, and Chambolle-Musigny. After completing her oenology studies in Bordeaux, Amélie took over the family estate in 2013 from her father Denis Berthaut and mother Marie-Andrée Gerbet, thus representing the 7th generation to make wine on the estate in Fixin. The vineyards are cultivated with respect for nature and based on organic principles, although they are not certified organic. The grapes for this wine come from two single vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin: Les Crais and La Burie, which have a subsoil of alluvial soil and Bresse marl. The vines were planted in the vineyards in 1959, 1960, and 1979. The grapes were fermented in stainless steel and concrete tanks, with remontage performed twice daily and pigeages towards the end of fermentation. After pressing, the wine was aged for 15 months in oak barrels, 15% of which are new. 🎨Ruby red 👃🏻Red forest berries, tobacco, oranges studded with cloves, white pepper, and smoke. 👅Medium to high acidity, medium body, soft velvety tannins, sour red cherries, cranberries, rhubarb, orange zest, cedarwood, white pepper, and cloves. ⭐️5/6. Lovely glass of Burgundy from one of my favorite producers and from my favorite red burgundy village. The wine is me not ready to drink yet and will only improve with a few more years in the cellar. 昨晩は日本人の先輩のお宅にお招きいただき、先輩ご夫妻とワインを飲みました。送別会第一弾です。 １本目はランスで購入したシャンパーニュ、Domaine Léon。ピノノワール100%のブラン・ド・ノワール。酸味が柔らかくて果実味が豊富、スモーキーさやシェリーのような複雑さもあり美味しいシャンパーニュでした。温度高めでのんびり飲みましたが、どこまでも優しいシャンパーニュ。 ２本目はフレデリック・コサール（ドメーヌ・シャソルネイ）のサン・ロマン、2022。先日のブルゴーニュツアーでも訪問した、コート・ド・ボーヌの奥にある小さな村。はちみつや白い花のような甘やかな香り、完熟したレモンのような果実味、そして余韻に残るミネラル的な苦味。スッと身体に入ってくるような、素直なワインだと感じました。 ３本目はドメーヌ・ベルトー・ジェルベのヴォーヌ・ロマネ一級畑Cru Les Petit Monts、2021。ヴォーヌ・ロマネ村で購入しました。リシュブールの隣（山側）に位置する畑です。少し樽の香りが浮いているかなという印象はありましたが（ちょっと飲むのが早かったでしょうか）、赤い果実に紅茶や葉巻の香りが合わさり、先輩からも「いかにも良いピノノワールという香りだね、ずっと嗅いでいられる」とお褒めいただきました。タンニンも極めて滑らかでスルスルと入ってきます。 先輩ご夫妻とワインの優しさに触れた夜でした🥲 #domaineleon #fredericcossard #domainedecharssorney #domaineberthautgerbet

Dom. Berthaut-Gerbet 2019 Fixin En Combe Roi: wow! This is incredibly good! Tasted blind you might guess Gevrey-Chambertin, by a respected winemaker. That’s close, geographically, as Fixin is only a few miles North. For some reason many Burg lovers know Gevrey, but not Fixin… and yes, @amelieberthaut is a very respectable winemaker 😁 This wine is dark red, very perfumed with berries, cherries and spice on the nose, and a mouth full of red fruit, balanced by beautiful acidity and a good backbone of soft tannins.
