This weekend we had a tasting with all wines befor 2000. So we startet with this Moet Chandon from the 80s. This non vintage champagne with a not so good fill was a great apero for our tasting. Still some fine mousseux left. The nose had notes of fine caramel and nutty flavors. On the palate he had a silky texture and was very elegant. En un post reciente, @thewaywewinenow nos recomendaba que uno de los vinos que conviene tener siempre en casa, especialmente en época de calores como la que se nos viene encima, es un blanco joven. Estoy completamente de acuerdo, y este que te presento hoy podría ser una buena opción, especialmente si te gustan los blancos afrutados, más que los que tienen un perfil más seco. . Se trata de un blanco elaborado por la bodega Enate en Somontano. Esta bodega, fundada en 1991, trabaja sobre todo con castas francesas y tempranillo, he bebido vinos excelentes suyos y suelo disfrutar de los más sencillos con cierta frecuencia. . El Gewurztraminer de Enate es un vino muy floral y aromático. Un vino que, aunque no tiene crianza en roble aguanta y mejora en botella hasta dos o tres años. Si te gustan los vinos con aromas profundos, fáciles de beber, pero con cierta estructura, este vino puede gustarte. Esto fue lo que me dijo: . Scheda vitigno - Vermentino 🍇 Il Vermentino è uno dei vitigni a bacca bianca più apprezzati nel nostro Paese ed è coltivato in varie località del Mediterraneo, dalla Liguria e Toscana alla Puglia e Sardegna 🇮🇹 Le origini di questo vitigno sono ancora oggi oggetto di dibattito: l’ipotesi principale è che le primi viti siano arrivate da noi passando per la Francia🇫🇷 Alcune testimonianze riportano che nell’Ottocento la sua coltivazione fu particolarmente diffusa nell’estremo ovest della Liguria. Prima tra tutte a Ventimiglia, a Sanremo e a Sarzana. Poi iniziò a diffondersi anche in Sardegna, in Toscana e in altre regioni. Durante questa diffusione l’uva subì delle leggere modificazioni genetiche che hanno fatto sì che venisse chiamata in modo diverso a seconda della zona di produzione. Si è iniziato a parlare così, per fare alcuni esempi di Rollo a Genova, di Pigato a Savona e di Favorita a Cuneo. Una curiosa e rara variante del Vermentino bianco è il Vermentino nero 🍇 , vitigno probabilmente originario delle colline della fascia costiera dell’alta Toscana (Massa-Carrara e bassa Lunigiana). Ma sarà soprattutto grazie alla spinta di uno dei suoi figli Ezio,che è stato pure presidente del consorzio Franciacorta , che fa crescere l'azienda i grandezza e qualità fino all'arrivo della nuova generazione. Nel 1997 si decide di ampliare gli spazi e rinnovare tutte le attrezzature. I could write a long treatise on why Chardonnay is such a great grape variety, but probably no one would want to read it, even if I quoted all the places where Chablis or Meursault are mentioned in Michel Houellebecq's novels. I'll leave it at briefly describing three wines that I recently had in the wonderful Conterno "Sensory" glass and that made me happy. The 2019 Chardonnay Sekt from @krack_sekthaus is aromatic and fresh, slightly salty, subtly creamy, with good fruit and great length. Always a great prelude (to Chardonnay). @weingut_chat_sauvage "Clos de Schulz" 2022 is not just a Rheingau-Burgundy, but a really great Chardonnay. The 2022 in particular is impressive. Great balance, very aromatic, fine spice, creamy, citrus fruits, lemon verbena, honey, vanilla, butter, herbs - it's all there. As it reminded me of Meursault, I then tasted my last bottle of 2013 Meursault from @domaine_michel_lafarge. A difficult year for Burgundy, but Michel Lafarge is a really great winemaker and the wine ended up outshining some Premier Crus I had. I was surprised at how fresh and young the wine presented itself. In comparison with the much younger "Clos de Schulz", however, an even more pronounced spiciness was noticeable. Che condividono l'intensità dei profumi, la brillantezza di colori e la nobiltà di sapori! 🍇 Proponiamo i cantucci alla mandorla della pasticceria @marabissi_1948, tipici dolcetti della tradizione toscana, in abbinamento a Kabir, il Moscato di Pantelleria della tenuta @donnafugatawine, che nasce da vigne varietà Zibibbo coltivate nell'isola con esemplari centenari. Il vino viene prodotto con una fase di affinamento in vasca a cui ne segue una in bottiglia. Il nome deriva dall'arabo Kabir "Il grande", in riferimento alla sua notevole ampiezza e ricchezza aromatica. 💐Il colore è giallo paglierino e al naso si caratterizza per un bouquet complesso di frutta tropicale, sentori di zagara e delicate nuances salmastre. Al palato riecheggiano le note fruttate e dolci, in perfetto equilibrio con la vena minerale. Un vino dotato di persistenza, con un finale particolare in cui emergono sentori speziati di pepe rosa e noce moscata. 🍨 Oltre ad essere un vino di accompagnamento per frutta e dolci, è molto interessante lo sposalizio con le acciughe, la bottarga, i grandi pesci affumicati e i formaggi caprini.

Taylors Wines and Tahbilk, with their extensive efforts to achieve carbon neutrality, can’t go unmentioned. And manufacturers like DIAM are also actively taking steps to reduce energy consumption through the production process, while leaning heavily into renewable and natural resources to produce bottle closures.🍾 Constellation Brands say that “48 percent of consumers will deliberately switch to a brand that is more sustainable” and their Round Theory Wines are a solid case study of efforts to make and sell a more environmentally sound product. They come in distinct bottles that are 30% lighter, 35% shorter and made from clear glass to be more readily recyclable. ♻️ The packaging is made from recyclable aluminium and plastics and the label from recycled paper. The wine is made using sustainably farmed grapes from accredited vineyards, and Round Theory (via a partnership) offsets double its carbon emissions produced in carbon credits.🍷 Climate change is impacting and shaping today’s wine industry. The efforts of players from vineyard to table will be pivotal to bring sustainability to the industry, while reducing the environmental toll of farming, production and supply chain management.
