Last week at @fitjamltd I got chatting to the lovely ladies at the @amazingjaneactivewear stall, we had a bit of a giggle sizing me up 🤣 and settled on a size. They asked me to give a review after I took these leggings for a Trot on one of my runs….. They did not budge! But even better than that they were so comfortable! I have quite a small frame but I have never liked clothes sitting tight on my stomach ( it actually gives me stomach ache and trapped wind & no one wants that do they! 😝 ) I like my leggings to be snug, but move with my body as I run, not independently of it! and definitely not tight! EVER! I don’t want to be adjusting them as I move and feel uncomfortable. These are compressed material meaning they help to warm your muscles up on the colder days like today ( cold wind! ) but not once did they feel sweaty, the compression helps to keep muscles from being pulled especially as you warm up 👍🏻 I love the feeling of my thighs warming up on these colder runs, it’s like when your car heater finally gets going! Side pocket for my phone ( I run to music and phone didn’t ride up ) and a back zip pocket for my key, meaning no need for the bum bag today ( but it was a shorter run ) so no need to pack much! Honestly I’m absolutely thrilled with them, and will definitely be investing in more! ( and I’m one of those who has to feel “just right” a tad fussy some might say but if you feel comfortable it’s one less thing to distract you when jogging 👌 ) Id happily wear these when not exercising too, and move away from my trak suit bottoms. They are that comfortable! Imposter syndrome made it’s appearance on the Friday night “I’m not as loud as that presenter, I don’t sing along like that presenter, what if I don’t bring the energy like that presenter?…and the spiral began. This time though I had an epiphany! I had 3 instructors with me that all brought their own personalities…I didn’t have to change the way I instructed, and neither did they. We all brought something unique to the class and I can truly say, I was able to be my authentic self. I can’t speak for all presenters but I can say it’s hard, it’s emotional and nerve racking! But this time we took Marie’s advice and WE HAD FUN by celebrating and embracing all our teams’ unique qualities. Thank you to the crowd who whooped, roared and cheered, thank you to my team for the support and belief and thank you to every single person who engaged with us, said kind words and gave us those pep talks. In my spare time, I am a keen dancer and have danced for the last nearly 16 years! In 2017, I discovered @clubbercise, a class which quite simply changed my life! It combines a night out with a work out and is GLOW heaven… imagine being ‘out out’ only, you’ve got two glow sticks in your hands instead!! 🌈 This weekend, I got to experience lots of different exercise classes which were all amazing! Having done Clubbercise for nearly 7 years, it was surreal to experience it on such a large scale, in a room with hundreds of people… I can’t put into words how electric the atmosphere was and how incredible it felt to be in that room doing what I love, living my best glow life! 🥹 If you have a class near you in the UK, I highly recommend you to check it out!! On Saturday night, I had the pleasure of attending the Fit Jam annual fancy dress party and this years theme couldn’t have been more perfect… DISNEY 🐭 I therefore chose to go as Belle and considering I last wore this costume when I was 20, it’s still looking fabulous 10 years later 😍 The party was out of this world and so much fun… a room full of people dressed as Disney characters, what better?! I had the best time and loved being a Princess for the evening. What can I say…. Fitjam 2024 and it did not disappoint! 2 amazing @decadesreloaded sessions and sharing the stage with @lucytfitness and @suefoordfitness for the first time 🧡💛 we raised the roof!! 🙌🏻 Fitness events are always exhausting… but this was by far my hardest one to mentally and physically get through. The energy and adrenaline required to present at such a high level is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The mind set and the discipline 😅 things I’m not particularly great at in general…. BUT you do it because you have to. Then you wonder how you can make it through another 3 classes in a row… but you see your friend going through the motions as they mentally and physically prepare themselves to take the stage and deliver their session, so you pull energy from somewhere and give it your all to show love and support to them after they just did the same for you an hour before… 🥰 Then another friend is going through the same again the next hour… so you find the energy AGAIN from somewhere else and before you know it, you’ve made it! Incredible experience all round and a huge well done again to the @fitjamltd team for putting on such a wonderful event. This weekend I will be presenting at Fit JAM 2024 - 10th Anniversary! It will be my 6th year of presenting at this incredible event and venue and I am just taking the time to breathe and soak up what lies ahead over the weekend! Fit JAM - Alton Towers is one of the biggest fitness events in the UK, it sells out within minutes and always hosts the biggest and best within the fitness industry.
