Это целевая аудитория, включающая представителей государственных учреждений, исследовательских/образовательных институтов, смежных экологических и сельскохозяйственных проектов, организаций гражданского общества, а также международных консультантов из ФАО и других организаций. На конференции обсуждались следующие вопросы: 1) возможности био- и фиторемедиации, а также экосистемных решений для эффективного по времени и стоимости разложения хлорированных пестицидов и трансформации соединений тяжелых металлов 2) Ограничения этих методов (тип почвы, тип загрязнения, климат и др.) 3) Контрольный список ФАО для подготовки действий по ремедиации, 4) Дальнейшие шаги, необходимые для масштабирования подходов на промышленные поля 5) Повышение осведомленности фермеров о необходимости сокращения использования пестицидов и защиты почвы как ресурса. Второй день 17 апреля. Посещение пилотного участка по биоремедиации в селе Саймасай и опытного участка по интегрированной защите с вредителями в яблоневом саду в селе Байдибек би, Енбекшиказахский район, Алматинская область. Участники конференции посетили опытный участок по ремедиации почвы в селе Саймасай. Участок расположен рядом с бывшим складом пестицидов, и в 2023 г здесь были проведены испытания с целью подбора эффективных фито- и биоремедиантов. Специалисты Института биологии и биотехнологии растений рассказали о специфике работы и достигнутых промежуточных результатах. Для демонстрации деятельности по продвижению интегрированной защиты растений в рамках проекта было организовано посещение пробных яблоневых садов с ИЗР в селе Байдибек би Енбекшиказахского района Алматинской области.
