Mars and Neptune join each other just after midnight tonight (EST). These two energies move very differently from one another. Mars likes to put energy into linear action, take the next step ASAP, and channel its momentum into forward movement. Neptune likes to move more mystically and non-linearly. It dissolves structures and rearranges them in ways that feel more like a spiral or no shape at all 🌀 When these two energies meet up in pisces (Neptune’s home energy) there is definitely momentum to follow, only it’s not in the ways that make make logical/linear sense. The momentum doesn’t equal stepping on the gas & moving forward in a sensical way, it’s more like stepping on the gas so the car can move in whatever direction it needs, in order to get to a place it may not have known that it needed to go at first. Resetting my relationship with exercise. Making it about a release and self care vs another box to check off in a busy life. This year I don’t have many racing plans (one 5k coming up in a few weeks). I want to move because my body and soul needs it but I don’t want to force it. Today I woke up without an alarm, journaled with my tea, and read with my coffee. Then I headed out for a walk with as much running as I could do to also keep my heart rate within zone 2. I stopped at a coffee shop 3.25 miles in and grabbed an iced Secret Garden (Lavendar, rose, and maybe rosemary) latte and walked home. I enjoyed the sun, the weather, and my podcast. I filled my cup and I got in movement! Yesterday, I spent five hours in a dentist’s chair in Mexico and have another appointment scheduled for next week to complete the process. I would like to share with you the herbal remedies I utilized to maintain composure during the treatment along with an astrology fact! Before my appointment, I prepared a GynoStemma motherwort tea with evening primrose, ensuring I had enough to sip on throughout the entire visit. Additionally, I created a lavender sachet to place behind my neck. I also infused it into an oil for application on my temples during the procedure. Despite being particularly sensitive to medical procedures, I experienced only a minor episode of discomfort, which the dentist adeptly managed. Tired of constantly complaining of my dental concerns, and my smile. I resolved to take action. Many of you are familiar with my history of battling an eating disorder over two decades ago, which contributes to my current dental challenges. It became evident that maintaining a stagnant approach while hiding my beautiful smile, which failed to satisfy me, was not a solution. Unlike the fixed signs such as Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, or Scorpio, I am a Pisces. Adaptability characterizes us, akin to the fluidity of water. We must not remain entrenched in complaints but actively seek resolutions to our issues. I think the only thing that irritates me when communicating with fixed signs is the fact that they stay in some of the most boring, unloving, stagnant situations, putting up with things years after they should. This is why I play it cool when dealing with them as clients because getting them to switch gears is like herding cats! My 11-year-old and I were talking this past week about emotions and what to do with them. He has struggled with emotional regulation all his life, but somehow when we got his autism diagnoses he started learning regulation! I asked him what he does now when he has big emotions. He explained that he just lays on his bed and lets his feelings happen, and when they pass he’s fine again. He said he just doesn’t let them stay too long. Sometimes our best lessons can come from our children. It’s not healthy to bottle up our emotions - they will eventually explode. But it’s also not healthy to dwell on emotions longer than needed. I have felt a lot of big emotions this week, being the anniversary of the accident. Honestly I felt the best when I cried and let the feelings happen. So feel the feelings, examine them if needed, and move forward.
