A week from today this beauty will FINALLY be able to walk for her much deserved graduation. Four years ago we moved her into Owen with her first roommate and dear friend Lizzy. We were skeptical as to how things would go under the veil of Covid. It was only a short four weeks later that we had to move her back home. (Credit to Mitch for the return move 😞) Thankfully 5 months later after rushing for her sorority on zoom she was afforded the opportunity to move back to live in her house. Though it wasn’t the first year college experience they had all hoped for, she began to forge relationships with the young ladies that she’s grateful, and proud to call her friends. As the mom of an out of state student, I can’t thank you ladies (and Jack) enough for holding her hand, hugging her, and loving her through some challenging times when we couldn’t. Enceinte, j'ai fait une prière qui, selon moi, était conduite par l'esprit car humainement, jamais je n'aurais osé dire cela. J'ai dit : "Seigneur, si cet enfant ne va pas te servir et si c'est dans ta volonté, reprends-le ou fais ce que tu veux, je me soumets à toi. Tu veux encore m'utiliser pour un témoignage ? Ok, mais si c'est une expérience que tu veux avec moi, je suis à ton écoute, guéris-le et je l'instruirai dans tes voies. Donne-moi ce témoignage et ce sera pour moi une source de joie mais surtout un rappel du Dieu que je sers."• Je me rappelle avoir eu peur, avoir caché à mes amies mes larmes. Et avant mon accouchement, tout était réglé, les anomalies avaient disparu, les pronostics étaient différents. Ils vont dire "erreur" ou "parfois ça arrive", mais maman sait que Dieu traversait une nouvelle épreuve de foi avec elle. Life update: We moved!! Last month Chris received and accepted a call to Vine and Branches Lutheran Church in Aldie, Virginia. We packed up all our stuff (and of course Belle, she is very excited to finally have a backyard to run around in) and moved back to VA. He was installed this last weekend! we could have stayed at our little home for forever 🏡🪵🌲 i think we realized during our trip that we really don’t need a lot of space or so many things to take up room. that honestly the more simple the better. we had our necessities, we had Jesus and we had each other. i think it may have showed us to be more intentional about when we go to buy a home or land, or just about our future in general. first, that we can plan all we want but Gods plans are bigger and better than ours will ever be. but also it makes me think of scripture where Jesus says in Matthew 6:20-21 “Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.” and it just makes me think and know in my heart that truly all we need is Jesus and to know Gods word and His truth. that the things of this world will fade away. we don’t need all the things to fill a void, because the reality is is that things, people or being in the “right place” won’t make you whole. that only a right relationship with God is what makes you whole. that acknowledging Him and believing in Him and obeying His word is what matters. i feel like the world makes you think you need a massive house, all these incredible “things”, the next best car, the perfect looking life. but all that leaves us empty if you don’t have Jesus in your heart. so i’ll gladly take a tiny house, being close with my loved ones and truly knowing Jesus over having the biggest and the best. and if you have nice things, a big house, etc. know that that is a gift from God and he allowed you to have those things, especially so you can honor Him with them. so today i’m feeling extra grateful for where God has brought me and for my little apartment that we’re in right now🫶🏼i want to steward it so well because it’s a gift, truly. #kentucky #godisgood #giftfromgod #blessings #thankyoujesus #jesussaves #cabin #tinyhome

It was an original idea based loosely on a retelling of the story of Job from the Bible. However, I don't think it's "just a Bible story," so it will be boring. So far from the truth.
