I was up at 5am for a Zoom call to India this morning and was running around doing stuff all day, so the only thing I wanted for dinner on this chilly evening was meat-and-potatoes-style comfort food: Hong Kong-style beef curry (港式咖喱牛腩). Beef stew cuts for braising Water Coconut milk Curry powder Extra turmeric Red onion Shallot Garlic Ginger Shaoxing wine Cinnamon stick Dried and aged tangerine peel Zhuhou paste Satay sauce Bay leaves Palm sugar Soy sauce Salt Vegetable oil Baby gold potatoes Daikon Carrot Cilantro Reminded me of my Gram and her love of beef curry. Your best place to show support to the “local customer only” business, and their signature item - curry pork chop with rice. ⭐Super huge portion (that comes with a proportional price tag) - two giant pieces of pork chop ⭐Impeccable taste - tender, well-seasoned, and covered with thin batter. Tastes really good on its own without the curry. The curry is so rich in flavor and could be mildly spicy for some. I personally would prefer more rice to go with this generous amount of curry. #hhf良心小店 這間其實本身生意都不錯，經過老闆娘霸氣拒絕某年年25歲阿伯的生意，名氣更響，即興決定要一試龍與鳳！ 這裡第一名物是咖喱豬扒飯，價錢比普通的店要貴20至30元，看到有個咖喱套餐，多十元就有菜有湯，除了蝦球不適用外，其他都可以配搭，就鎖定它了！ 當天的湯是雪耳雞湯，喝得出是自家煲沒有味精，有住家感覺，抵飲！菜是菜心，正常，只是自己忘記叫走蠔油 主角上場，被那塊豬扒嚇到，蠻大一份，豬扒是酥炸的，切一條一條，方便食用，是貼心的；雖說是酥炸，做到只留適當油份，不會一口油，豬扒厚切，肉質卻富彈性，果然名不虛傳！ 說說咖喱，這家比較水的，椰香非常輕，帶一點點咖喱的辣勁，個人喜歡的，只是不會把豬扒點咖喱食用，兩者分開會好一些，不過它拌飯是好吃，很下飯，拌本身的飯還有剩咖喱汁，就多叫一客白飯把咖喱汁食清光！ 這次晚上7點多來到排了半小時多才入內，如果不想排隊，建議午市或晚市一開不久就光顧，就較安全 特別一提是老闆娘及樓面員工們都非常好禮貌，即使店內滿是食客（還有外賣的），非一般繁忙，全部員工都忙於應對，都保持有禮態度，大加分！ 她們晚市小菜都蠻吸引，還有未試到另一名物乾炒牛河，絕對要再找機會試！ 食店：新景園咖喱小廚 地址：灣仔春園街20號地下 P.S.:. 1. 這兒15:00-18:15是落場時間沒有營業，記得不要摸門釘 2. 堂食最低消費是每位$68 3. 午市外賣飯盒會比較風儉由人，不知跟堂食份量上差多少 4. 這兒很大機會要搭枱，食客可能無可避免會貼到手，還好食客們都非常體諒 #新景園咖喱小廚 #排隊食店 #咖喱豬扒飯 #currypork #curry #hongkongstylecurry #真心好食 #未試到干炒牛河 #員工好好禮貌 #咖哩豬排 #港式咖喱 #支持良心小店 #灣仔搵食地圖 #講飲港食hihi地 #hiheidifoodie #hhf0108
