🐺🚨 This is unacceptable. The treatment of these animals is cruel and inhumane, yet the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission continues to allow these heinous practices without proper justice. The recent torture and murder of the wolf in Daniel is just one of the many horrific crimes against wildlife that have occurred in Wyoming and across our nation. The world is awakening to the everyday tragedies of what wolves are subjected to in Wyoming and the other Northern Rockies states where they are not protected by the federal Endangered Species Act. At the same time, Lauren Boebert is pushing her horrible HR 764 to delist wolves and prevent judicial review–just as Senator Tester did for Northern Rockies wolves, which opened the door for the horror show that is “management” in Wyoming. The bill will likely be voted on the House floor today. Call out Boebert and any representative voting for this bill in all public venues to which you have access. April 23, 2024. A South Korean man in his 20s has been sentenced to 14 months in prison for the killing of 76 cats, which is one of the most gruesome cases of animal cruelty in the country in recent years. The man was convicted of violating South Korea’s animal protection law after he went on a cat-killing spree from December 2022 to September 2023, motivated by a deep hatred for cats that began when they scratched his car. He employed various methods to kill the cats, including strangling and using scissors, and even ran over one with a car. The court’s decision reflects South Korea’s growing concern for animal welfare and the importance of legal reforms to further protect animals. It is worth noting that while South Korea only recently banned the consumption of dogs, the Animal Protection Law in South Korea existed since 1991.
