Dinner has always been a meal that is easy to fall off the wagon on.. I come home at 6 and have to get dinner on the table along with all the other parent responsibilities. The crockpot only does so much for my family. So this is my reminder it doesn't have to be grand. I got home at 6 and this was ready by 6:20. What I did... brown ground beef and add black beans and taco seasoning Heat a sweet potato Microwave a bag of corn Steam cilantro rice Throw tortillas, cheese, sour cream, and salsa on the counter All five people in my house were fed by 6:30. Spring/Summer dresses moved to the front, and sweaters are now in the back. This past Saturday it hit 80 here, and oh boy were we loving it!! We started setting up our garden, and we are so excited. My husband has also been looking into building a chicken coop. 🤞🏻 Hopefully we can get some chickens soon. If you have been following for a while, you know we used to live San Diego, which was 6 years ago. We also used to own chickens! Honestly, I lost count on how many we had. My husband always came home with a new chick. 🤣 Unfortunately, we had to get rid of them because my husband had new orders from the military. The upside, they were given to a chicken rescue. ♥️🐓

Good morning friends! I’ve been having a hard time getting back to routines lately. Today I decided to approach the day by making a toddler approved list. I have a two year old daughter who isn’t quite talking full sentences but we’re getting there. This morning I decided to get her to assist me with the list. I asked her, “Chloe what do we do every morning?” She proceeded to go out about her business, little did she know she helped me make a list. She helped me and I rewarded her with stickers and letting her put the list on the fridge. I’m so unbelievably proud of her! Hi Everyone, here’s a duckling update. I’d love to hear what you’re up to! 🦆🦆 The ducklings are getting bigger. Lucky the Pekin is just starting to get her adult feathers. Clover, the Rouen, is as cute as ever! I learned today how to do a vent check to find out their gender. I’m pretty sure they are both female, which is what I was hoping for. 🩷🩷 They’ve been spending their days outside in the pen and are so happy out there eating clover and dandelions from the lawn.
