Winner winner Chicken dinner! My boys loved Chicken tortilla dump - seconds please! Moms this is Super easy to prepare in advance and pop in the oven before pick ups! We enjoyed w a dollop of sour cream and fresh cilantro alongside a tossed salad, blue corn chips, salsa and avocado. Directions - (feel free to improvise and adjust per your tastes) mix together in a large bowl - a can of black beans drained, two cans Mexican style tomatoes (like @roteltomatoes ), frozen corn (10-16 oz bag), a cup + chicken broth, 1/2 ea. chopped onion and pepper, a few cups cooked chopped or shredded chicken, tbsp chilli powder, tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp salt, a dozen small corn tortillas stacked and sliced in half, then quarters and then eighths and a cup of shredded cheese (4 cheese Mexican or Monterey Jack or cheddar). Pack into a large casserole (sprayed w non stick spray or greased up) cover w foil@and bake 25 -30 mins in 375’ oven. Remove foil and sprinkle another c of cheese and return to 400’ oven until cheese melts- golden and bubbly - about 10 more mins! Come sail away! ⛵️ Because I feel like we could all use some sun, even if it’s a virtual one. We put this pool in over 5 years ago and I can remember working extra hours of tutoring and my husband putting in extra time as well to bring this dream to fruition. I also remember the emptiness I felt having difficulty filling it with children and now as we embark on being parents of two littles-finally, I love to watch them enjoy this pool. More importantly, this pool helped our little guy, Miles, to have an opportunity to strengthen his muscles with at home water routines-especially helpful during the pandemic. This pool has become more than just entertainment. It is a place to gather, laugh and pray. It is a place that helped our son. Using our Seasoning Salt I made Rosemary-Maple Glazed Chicken with carrots. 2 cups of carrots ¹/⁴ cup of water 2 chicken breasts cut in half lengthwise ¹/³ of a cup of maple syrup 2 tsps zest of an orange 1 tsp of dried rosemary 2 tbsp of olive oil Cut the carrots in rounds to make 2 cups. Place carrots and ¼ cup of water in the 12 inch non-stick skillet. Cover and bring to a simmer. About 5 minutes. Cut two chicken breasts in half lengthwise. Season with Seasoning Salt and let it sit. In a bowl mix the rosemary, the maple syrup and orange zest. Mix well. Drain any water from the skillet. Add oil to the pan with carrots. Add the chicken. Cook for about 5-6 minutes. Turn chicken and add the syrup mixture to the pan. Cook another 5-6 minutes. Once chicken juices run clear take the chicken and carrots and serve. Ανακάτεψε απλά : *2κούπες αλεύρι *1½ κούπα γάλα *1 αβγό *1 κ.σ. ελαιόλαδο *1 κ.γ.μπέικιν Αφού ανακατέψεις τα παραπάνω ρίξε το μισό μείγμα σε λαδόκολλα ή σε ταψάκι (it's up to you). Σε μια κούπα ρίξε 1 κουταλιά της σούπας κακάο αγλυκο,2 κ.σ. μέλι και 2 κ.σ. ταχίνι , ανακάτεψε τα πρόσθεσε ελάχιστο νεράκι ώστε να μην είναι πολύ σφιχτό αλλά όχι πολύ ..δεν το θέλουμε και σαν σιρόπι γιατι με την θερμότητα θα απλώσει ούτως η άλλως. Ρίξτε στο μείγμα που έχεις απλώσει σε λαδόκολλα και από πάνω ρίξε το υπόλοιπο μείγμα . Φυσικά και το εψησα με λαδόκολλα στην τοστιέρα.Να σημειώσω εδώ ότι τοστιέρα με τοστιέρα προφανώς διαφέρει..όπως και οι φούρνοι άλλωστε ...εμένα είναι δυνατή και σε 15' ήταν έτοιμο το πρωινό μας .. Happy Friday and First Snowfall of the season for those that live around here! We made the most of today and got outside at every chance we could throughout the remote school day. The boys explored the snowy ‘woods’, had apple cider snow cones, and we built a 4-tiered snowman, complete with a carrot nose, dead flower buttons, and twiggy arms! ☃️ ❄️🥶 . I was able to get a TON of sewing done today, which means early orders of Holiday jammies are heading out in the mail tomorrow!! . Tips& Tactics:- Carrot halwa:- I prefer to cook the grated carrots in thin milk (cow's milk) rather than full cream milk. Also I won't use condensed milk sweetner and also no artificial colours.. I use only sugar. By doing so we can get a more orangish halwa with complete flavor of carrots with not even the flash of milk aroma. . Vazhaipoo vadai:- While grinding the dhal,say BIG NO to water. I always Let the dhal soaked for 4-5 hrs and then drain the water completely before grinding. That tends the dhal pulverized in to perfect coarse consistency. And chop the vazhaipoo really really small and squeeze away the water completely before adding to the dhal mixture. Eventually make a tight and coarse vadai batter for crispy and yummy vadais. . . . . Carrot halwa and vazhaipoo vadai for evening snacks. 😋🤤 . Halwa made with naturally sweet and tender carrots🥕and topping with dryfruits garnishment makes it more palatable!! Trust me it's scrumptious!! 🤤🤤 . Cleaning vazhaipoo/ banana blossom is undeniably a herculean task I say!.
