1. Let them make as many choices/decisions as possible. This is going to help them feel empowered and confident at a young age. Learning to decide is a muscle, one that should be exercised frequently. 2. Ask their opinion and ask their opinion often. Kids need to know their voice matters. They need to learn how to express themselves at a young age and feel confident in their own skin. 3. Let them order their dinner at a restaurant and or fast food place. Let them speak as much as possible at the Dr. visit. Feeling so grateful our “backyard” is a golf course. Being a dog walker I’m used to little human interaction during my work week, but now I see SOOO many people all over the trails since no one is working. I feel fortunate that I can walk on the golf course cuz no one is there (it’s closed). & although walking outside is on the ok list, it’s not safe if u r walking close to or passing by other people. Kids need outdoor activity, but we’re trying to not be around people, so no playgrounds, no hiking trails or shoreline cuz they’re crowded this wk so golf course it is. For all those parents out there w/kids, if u have any ideas to keep mine entertained for the foreseeable future please comment. (Keep in mind my kids r 3 & 4).
