We love love Sarah Adams! @authorsarahadams @penguinrandomhouse We got to meet her recently during her book tour in Dallas! Guys, she is even cooler in person. What we loved about the Rule Book is that it had the return of his awesome teammates. They were some of the best parts of The Cheat Sheet so we were so happy to hear from them again. There is one open door scene and some crude language. This is a sequel to the Cheat Sheet but you can read as a stand alone if you must. However the Cheat is AWESOME so you should definitely read it! This one is a little different but there was something about it that made me want to buy it. Mina’s dad has a habit of bringing home unusual items that don’t always work out well. This doesn’t usually bother her except when the stick bigs he brought home left with all Mina’s books. This time he insists that the squirrel he brings home is a good idea, until they discover it’s a cat and not a squirrel. I think it’s the ending that made me want to add this book to my library. I always say this, but I have such a love-hate relationship with Reese’s Book Club picks, especially when they’re thrillers. Sometimes they’re great and sometimes they’re the exact type of thriller that I hate (since I’m also very picky about thrillers and have a lot of plot related pet peeves). This one was one of the good ones though! It was definitely a little campy and a lot unrealistic, but the story was so much fun and I had such a fun time trying to figure out all the twists, and what Evie’s plan actually was. The cat and mouse vibes were great, and they built up and kept up the suspense perfectly to make the book so fast paced. Initially I thought I had the main twist called, but I was wrong, which I love in a conwoman thriller. This was definitely a bit of a quick read, so I’m glad that I rented it on Libby to read on my Kindle instead of getting it from BOTM, since when I read books in 24 hours, it always kind of bugs me that I paid $10+ dollars for them. Anyway, if you were on the fence, definitely read this one!!

I got the pleasure of being an arc reader for What Lies Beneath the Tide by Daphne Parker. And can I say it was wonderful. The plot was very well rounded and I was hooked throughout the entire book. It kept me guessing what would happen on the next page It has the stranger in a small town troupe and it does it very well.
