Hi team happy Saturday! Got an update on dad ^_^ he had his meeting with the cancer specialists yesterday to discuss his latest results and to talk about the plan going forward. Firstly how about this pic here’s dad back in the day on a Yamaha RD250DX fun story my mum is actually watching him from the window taking the pic 2 weeks before they met an the rest they say is history! For those that are new to the page dad got diagnosed out of the blue with stage 3+ advanced prostate cancer about a month or so ago n then had a complication with a biopsy at which time I sold my fireblade to buy us a T7 to share as motivation for when he’s well enough to ride it. There’s some good news an some hopeful news dependant on outlook so here we go, he’s still waiting for his turps operation so he can pass fluid again, then he’s gonna have 20 days of radio therapy one day after the next an he’s on a variety of hrt to try help with a further 2 years or so of treatment planned. The good news is they said there’s a 40% chance of curing it so all fingers crossed! Dad’s his usual positive self really amazes me how he takes stuff in his stride tbh. So that’s the story so far as they say :) in other news should hopefully be moved within the local area within the next 2 months then after his radio therapy I can start sorting a few of my own things out, The 1150gsa is for sale btw for £5,000 :) forgot to mention I also fitted a lh cam chain tensioner as well to the updated version as well as all the new shocks etc, full details in the other post. Reason for selling is down to workshop space with the house downsize otherwise I wouldn’t be selling her that’s for sure one of those already iconic machines that’s got legendary status. N that I intended on keeping for a long long time. We’re thrilled to share the incredible journey of one of our customers, Ron. Since early 2022, he’s been walking at every major cricket ground in England and Wales, to raise funds for @bobwillisfund, which supports @prostatecanceruk. Ron’s mission is to spread awareness about this awful disease and encourage all men to get regular check-ups. Sleep tight Pop Pops The World is so much duller without you in it. My darling Daddy and Ethan's Pop Pops sadly passed away on Thursday. My heart hurts so much. I've never known a man as brave as my Father. He thought his hardest until the end and sadly his body and that hospital failed him. I can't quite believe that tomorrow I'm going to be running the London Marathon! I'm aiming to raise as much as I can for @prostatecanceruk a wonderful charity, close to my heart, as my lovely husband @stevebart54 is a prostate cancer survivor.
