It is said that you become what’s your thoughts dwell upon. Well, what you think upon, you become. Where your attention is, there your energy flows, there you are. And dear hearts, you’re becoming that. How much more aware you have become of the power of your attention, but more so, how much more aware you are becoming of the true power of your attention? You have heard us many times and it was my great brother, the beloved God Germain that brought forth to you: what I place my attention upon, I become. Where I place my attention, there I am. And where my attention goes, my energy flows. He brought you these three mighty statements. And how, dear hearts, you have done your very best to work throughout the years to master those statements, to apply those statements, to use those statements. And there has been the constant struggle or battle between the outer self and your inner self. Now the inner self never battles, but the outer self battles to still maintain control and to keep the attention on the things of the outer world. Again, nothing is ever permanently accomplished if it is not done harmoniously and if it is only done from without in or the outside in. When you do something from the inside out or from within out, that is when change becomes permanent, that is when you make the greater shift and changes in your lives. And when you accomplish them, achieve them, they cannot be reversed, they will not go back. Every victory in the light is eternal part of your beingness. It rises up, your Higher Mental Body takes it up into the Causal Body, it is always with you. If this distinction isn’t made, then we get into fights with the mind, we try to kill the noise. We don’t have to do any of that once we understand the mind. Deep absorption in samadhi requires the appropriate attitude: to whatever extent there’s the intentional element in activity: put that down. While the resultants of past kamma i.e.the six sense media, simply witness it as just that — something separate. Yesterday was quite challenging. I won’t share the details, but after a series of events over the course of the day, it left me frustrated, in tears and by the time I was in bed in the early hours of this morning, mentally, emotionally, energetically and physically exhausted. Mid-morning as I was out shopping for my retreat gig, I kept seeing my magic number repeatedly, then heard the words, “Stick to your mission.” It brought me back to thinking about my why and I heard and repeated the words “be love, be light, be present, just be.” My mission… Not my job at the retreat house or my work with my clients, but as a soul in a physical body. We are here to be…it’s our mission. Does that mean I bypassed my feelings? No, I felt them, breathed through them, saw the gift in the message, and moved through it, and came back to me. Mastering the Magic in the Mundane Here I am hanging sheets to dry. Checking them for stains because my husband is a surfer and bleeds and I’m a woman and I bleed. Taking self portraits with a niche lens while hanging sheets because I haven’t recently had time to dedicate to all the practices and art forms I love. It’s in these little things, in the little moments, that I’ve learned how to distill the magic from the mundane. How to weave it into every day life. Because that’s the point really isn’t it. The longer I’ve walked my path the more the chasm between this world and the other worlds has closed. So there’s not just one foot in each, but so that I am always aware of the ways they weave into one another always. How I am weaving with them. Spirit is always weaving itself into matter. Magic is always in the mundane. The two are constantly in a dance that creates this reality. So many people see their “everyday life” and their “spiritual life” as separate. But they are not. They are constantly in relationship with one another, like everything else. This last year life asked a lot of me in the “outer world”. Things to be planned, massive upscaling around work, family needing support, friends going through massive transitions needing support, my communities and the land I live on needing support. Everything needed me last year. Everything from the sheets and the food in the fridge to those I love most in this world. And it was a time of stretching. When we are stretched our tenacity to hold more grows. When we can hold more we receive more. And with this we can go even deeper. People told me I should just be better about setting boundaries. But I don’t really believe in boundaries. I believe who we are and what we embody is our organic boundary. When we are rooted in our innate connection to life, we are always supported. And that sometimes “a boundary” means we may miss out on life’s medicine for us. Life will never give more than we can hold. Life always weaves herself in rhythms of contraction and expansion. I know that when I’m being squeezed and stretched it’s because I’m in alignment with life’s medicine for me in this moment. Cont👇🏽

Not only are harmony required but also we have concern of one another (1 Cor 12:25-27), which would include assisting the poor and comforting the sick. He says that the bread and wine of our Lord require it of us. That communion is a mystical union among ourselves and a reminder that we are one body. These verses about concern for one another are smack in the middle of the passage elucidating the doctrine of communion. Do we only want to be responsible for intra-congregational harmony, or can we see a “requirement of us” that we need to consider and succor the afflicted, poor, and sick? What if some of the great crises of our day have a significant fraction of faithful Christians counted among the masses of the suffering? I am not saying that we should only help the Christians, or that it only matters if Christians are suffering, but I am saying that there is an awful, additional requirement that we cannot let be a tragedy which also harms the body of Christ. Mental Health rule book 101 “When we speak from the heart, things get resolved, when we speak from the mind, shit just explodes.” I’m sure we have all been in a confrontation situation where our minds have drifted off and caused a chemical reaction, an explosion of things and words we do not mean to say. This is what happens when we do not speak from the heart and speak about how we feel with the person or people that we are feeling them with. The mind will create all scenarios within our minds because of unreleased feelings and emotions, so we explode on people through anger. When we speak from the heart and how we are feeling things get resolved and we can move on. Now it’s one thing to speak how you feel, but the biggest game changer is being able to listen and not react because it’s not what you want to hear, truth. Always remember your feelings are your feelings, and their feelings are their feelings, but unless we learn to LISTEN to each other with out fear or judgement, then we will not grow not just within our selves and our own mental health, but also the mental health of the relationships we have with others.
