God, I never thought these images would see the light of day haha. I know I keep saying that, but it’s still true 😌 This has been a major lesson for me regarding art and perfectionism and I don’t want to let that slip away yet, I’m still digesting it💞 Well, here are some things I was able to print that worked. No regrets about my recent impulse buy; a little treat to myself for officially starting my PhD! I’ve always wanted to have a typewriter and although my husband gifted me a behemoth of a typewriter last year, it’s not actually functional at the moment (and it is absolutely not portable 😅). I’m not even sure how I stumbled on this, but somehow I ended up convinced that I needed this SCM Empire Corona de Luxe 🤎🤍 It’s insanely portable with a lid that simply clicks on and you’re ready to go. The seller was a gem as well and put a new ribbon in because I’m a beginner when it comes to typewriters. I will have to learn though because I am LOVING writing with this! L'importanza della Valentine è sottolineata dalla sua presenza dagli inizi degli anni settanta nella collezione permanente del #Museum of #ModernArt di #newyork , dalle sue partecipazioni a mostre sul design italiano e internazionale in tutto il mondo, dal suo enorme successo commerciale, oltre che dai riconoscimenti ricevuti per le soluzioni innovative adottate dai progettisti nella fase di realizzazione. Caratteristica principale della Valentine, ripresa molto chiaramente anche dalla campagna pubblicitaria, è la trasportabilità della macchina che, a differenza delle precedenti, non aveva una valigetta esterna in cui chiuderla, ma era essa stessa la valigetta: la parte posteriore della macchina è stata progettata come "chiusura" della valigetta, comprensiva della maniglia, mentre l'unica parte esterna è un guscio-scatola, in ABS, capace di proteggerla da qualsiasi colpo. on a typewriter, there’s no room for editing, nor perfectionism, nor galloping thoughts. You have to be okay with errors, with “drafty” language. But then, you create something tangible. You can smear the ink or fold up the paper and tuck it into your pocket or make a paper airplane. And it’s raw, but that’s actually kind of beautiful, and rare—living in such digital, edited, filtered environments as we do. CW: bird death, gory-ish details. Unfortunately I found him tangled and frozen in my grille a couple days later.
