You don't have to arrange specific meetings for teaching or building one another - though that is something you could try every now and then. Building one another should come naturally, in your normal conversations. This is why you need to make sure that your friends are as focused as you are on developing your relationship in God and making something great out of your life. If you choose to associate with people who do not take their lives seriously, you will struggle to grow. If you choose to associate with focused people who have great ambitions and are passionate about the things of God, you will grow in leaps and bounds. Another Favorite of ours Gift the Joy of Christmas is a heartwarming initiative dedicated to bringing holiday cheer and happiness to children in foster care. Through the generosity of donors and volunteers, the program provides carefully selected gifts to children of all ages, ensuring that each child experiences the magic of Christmas. Gift the Joy of Christmas operates year-round, collecting donations of new toys, Legos, electronics, and other gifts suitable for children aged newborn to 18. These donations can be made in the form of monetary contributions or physical items, allowing individuals and businesses to participate in spreading joy to children in need. Each gift is handpicked and personally wrapped with love and care. The Board selects gifts that match the interests and preferences of each child, ensuring that they receive something special and meaningful. Whether it's a favorite toy, a new electronic gadget, or a set of Legos, every gift is chosen with the child's happiness in mind. To make the holiday season extra special, each child in foster care receives at least two gifts through the Gift the Joy of Christmas program. This ensures that every child has the opportunity to unwrap presents and experience the joy and excitement of receiving gifts during the holiday season. While the focus is on spreading holiday cheer during Christmas, Gift the Joy of Christmas accepts donations year-round. Another one of my favorites Help a Child be a Child" is a dedicated program aimed at supporting children in foster care by alleviating the financial burden associated with participating in sports, arts, and other activities. Our primary objective is to offer these children opportunities to immerse themselves in rewarding experiences, fostering a strong sense of belonging and enhancing their self-esteem through collaborative teamwork and expressive creativity. By providing avenues for growth, development, and joy, our program empowers these children to overcome obstacles and realize their fullest potential, despite the challenges that they may face. Many foster children arrive in care carrying deep emotional scars and trauma. Frequently relocating from one home to another, they live with uncertainty about their next move. Yet, amidst these challenges, these children deserve the chance to experience childhood without worry, to revel in the innocence of being a kid. They are worthy of love, security, and the opportunity to simply be children. **Participation fees for every school and activity, whether in or out of school, vary significantly. 💜 Program Spotlight Series 💜 Our Fourth Program that we would like to Showcase today is our ~ "Stepping up to Success" DID YOU KNOW?? There are roughly 1,000 Foster Youth in Ohio who age out yearly when they turn 18 without becoming a permanent part of a family. They suddenly find themselves on their own with nothing / no one. Estimated 20% of Foster Youth will become homeless the day that they age out. In Ohio alone, this is roughly 200 Children – Yes, CHILDREN who become homeless. Out of those 200 homeless children, roughly an average of 55% will abuse drugs which is an average of 550 children. Substance use in this population has been reported 2 to 3 time higher than that found among non-homeless young adults, Stepping Up to Success is a program designed to provide essential support to young adults aging out of foster care as they transition to independent living. The program aims to equip these individuals with the necessary tools and supplies to establish stable and successful households, ensuring a smooth transition into adulthood. Stepping Up to Success recognizes the challenges faced by young adults leaving the foster care system, often without a support system or access to basic necessities. To address this, the program provides essential household items such as dishes, silverware, utensils, cleaning supplies, bathroom items including towels, and other essential household items. For children in foster care, having access to basic hygiene products is often a challenge. Many families struggle to afford these essentials, leaving children without proper hygiene items like toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, razors, body sprays, sanitary products etc. This not only affects their physical well-being but also impacts their self-esteem and confidence. Through Just the Basic Needs, we aim to bridge this gap by collecting and distributing hygiene products to children in foster care across Ohio. Until one spark of memory each of us has that sets in motion through an over heard conversation, reading a book, signs that pop up for us to see and recognize the truth 'We Are All Worthy to Receive', that is the magic key that awakens those dorment hibinating parts of us, opening up to receive several twinkling happy feelings that all stem from Divine Love begin to sprout miracles.
