Why Your Diet Isn’t Working. Here’s the cliché, you go on some social influencers rapid weight loss program or a celebrity diet that promises to melt the fat from your body. You work real hard (like sacrifice your happiness and social life hard) and you get all the results they promise. You justify the influencers claims with your results and everybody wins right?. 2 months later you’re right back where you started or worse, you feel lethargic, you have some weird gut thing all of a sudden and you’ve gained an extra kilo! 😡. So you resort back to the system that worked for you before. It works for you again but this time it seems like it took more effort, more sacrifice for the same result as last time. What’s worse is that it only lasted a month this time and you’re already gaining weight from what you routinely ate before!!. Warm Choc Maple Cookies⁠ from @eatingforfuel⁠ ⁠ You can enjoy them warm & gooey or for days later whenever you're needing a pick me up.⁠ ⁠ You will need:⁠ ⁠ 100g runny nut butter - I used almond⁠ 120ml sugar-free maple syrup⁠ 1 scoop (30-40g) protein powder⁠ 100g coconut flour⁠ 100g VITAWERX Protein Chocolate - so damn good!⁠ ⁠ ⁠ Method:⁠ 1 - Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a baking tray with parchment paper.⁠ 2 - In a medium mixing bowl. mix together your nut butter and maple syrup.⁠ Once combined, stir in your protein powder and coconut flour.⁠ 3 - Choc up your VITAWERX Protein Chocolate into chunks and add to the mixture.⁠ 4 - Roll the mixture into 6-10 balls and flatten out into cookies (make as big or small as you like)⁠ 5 - Bake for 10-15mins or until lightly golden on top.⁠ ⁠ When still warm, press a piece of chocolate onto the top for extra goodness! What’s up yall. This is my first post of my fitness page. We’re starting with 75Hard as this was what got me more into fitness with the two workouts a day I’ve had to do and where I’m at right now. It’s been hard to make the commitment because I wanted it to be perfect…but it’s been on my mind and we’re just gonna start this shit. I’ve had this handle @notjustapump for almost a year or two now. It was originally an idea to demonstrate how going to the gym is NOT JUST FOR A PUMP. Although pumps are nice 😏…going to the gym has become a kind of mental santctuary for me and opened the doors to a lot of other areas of improvement in my like. I want to show people that it’s the everyday grind and consistency that will get you to where you want to be…to be a BEACON of hope for others. I noticed majority of these instagram influencer pages that I followed didn’t really show their day one so it was hard to imagine a good start point for me. I started roughly around 276 lbs. that weight came with a lot of sadness and mental anxiety on the daily. That weight was a combination of me not eating right me not caring for my health and not being in the right mental state. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve mentally broken down just because of my physical state. Almost a year ago I was introduced to a company called @nutre_meals. Honestly with how bad I am at cooking and with my schedule, it was a perfect fit for me. I got the diet part down and started focusing more on being more consistent in the gym. Week by week one less pound by one less pound, my ambition / confidence. My energy, social life ability to have better relationships with people got better just because I was healthier and more confident in my body. This page is not only gonna be dedicated for fitness, but also for what fitness can really do for you. What it can start for you and how if you are down, getting into fitness it a good start. My life has changed so much in these past six months not only physically, but mentally. It all started with a bit of effort and taking it day by day. I hope you guys enjoy and can learn a thing or two from my journey. Day 1. DONE. THIS IS NOT JUST A PUMP. LFG.

Tuna steaks and veggies for dinner tonight ... because I'm working on mineral balancing for my own health. With 65+ food sensitivities, I have a hard time getting enough potassium, and that affects my breathing. Two tuna steaks have 1,000 mg of potassium, nearly half of the daily recommendation. I also am working on copper levels to address my gut health. Tuna has some copper in it, but tomorrow I'll have some beef and lentils which are much higher in copper. I'm 7 years into my healing journey and THAT is the whole reason that I became a functional nutrition counselor. When I made the connection that food affects our health in more ways than we were ever taught, I wanted to teach people how to address their own health at the root cause. I want to help people who have issues with their digestion ... blood sugar ... cholesterol ... hormones find their way back to health much sooner than I have, and in the right order.  My case is complex and it's taken me this long to determine that copper may be the missing link. I've had to be my own advocate all along the way and at times I was my ONLY advocate. How hard is it to get abs? For most people, getting six-pack lean is just plain hard, which is something I know from first-hand experience. At the ripe old age of 31, I became determined to lose some weight and get fit. I’d never been an athlete. I’d never had visible abs. Fast forward to today. I am a lean and muscular 43 year old, and I maintain visible abs year round. No part of it was easy. There’s no gimmick here. No overnight success or 30-day ab nonsense. I struggled. Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym, and I had to completely change my diet. But it most definitely was worth it. It’s not just the aesthetics. I feel amazing, have more energy, feel younger, recover faster and most likely will live longer. Under eating. Over working. Never resting. Not managing stress properly. Not eating any fruits or veggies. Not drinking enough water. Drinking too much caffeine. Forcing foods you don’t like. Not getting in nature. Not getting enough sleep. Not skipping a workout bc you’re better off spending time with your family that day. Not resting your thoughts. Telling yourself you’re going to fail. Telling yourself you’re not good enough. Telling yourself you hate your body. The list is never ending. My best piece of advice: LISTEN TO YOUR BODY.
