💗 My everything and Beyond. 💗 Happy birth-month to me! I'm SO glad I had the opportunity to go see #LeonBridges at #RedRocksAmphitheater last night, it was truly the best show to see as I work my way back into LIVE CONCERTS! The whole performance was absolutely perfect; the weather was amazing, the energy of the venue was exactly what my soul needed - and our seats. . . They were perfect for this aging "old"-lady, I could actually see the set without having to wear my corrective lenses 😉🤣! And the fashion, OMG - I wanted ALL the fall outfits last night 😍😍😍😍. GRATITUDE is the word that kept popping up in my head throughout the entire night. Ok, so SOMETIMES being at #Home isn't all that bad, because home is filled with so many people I love, and home brings back people I love for visits. I am reminded how beautifully life works, to have all these people I am surrounded by, congregate into one square state in all of North America. Y'all, we made it. The sun arose and we embarked upon a new year. May the year ahead bring love where hate existed, unity where we have found ourselves divided, calm in the midst of so much chaos; more togetherness and less fear of the unknown and the future. 2020 was so turbulent for humanity as a whole and I hope that we are able to experience some sort of normalcy again, where we can meet our friends at a locally owned restaurant/bar, where small businesses flourish and withstand the storm they (we) all faced. I want to feel connected again to the earth, I want to walk on old cobblestone streets in Europe, I want to eat local food from a street vendor in Asia, I want to feel the heat of the tropical sun reflecting off of the brightest and bluest ocean and to feel the crisp, cool air from high above treeline. I want to feel fully alive again because small parts of me felt like they died when I wasn't able to travel. The end of the year did bring me the sand and the ocean and for that I am so grateful because it gave me hope that our beautiful world will open to us all and that we all can begin to heal from the whirlwind of 2020. It is officially September, and to be honest I have no idea how we got here 🤯. This global pandemic really threw me through a loop! 🥴🙃🤪 Half the time I can't remember what day it is (I blame (thank) working from home on that); I feel like I blinked and winter slipped into summer and before we know it, snow will be flying again. Make this madness stop! Thankfully, I was able to get out as much as possible this "COVIDSpringSummer," not to the far away places I would have preferred, but here in my own back yard and a quick trip to Texas. Not near as many pool days as I would have liked, but thankful for the ones I did get. I had planned to take myself on a pretty dope overseas adventure to Asia for my birthday this year, and as we all know, the universe put a stop to that! With all my negative emotions of feeling confined and claustrophobic because of the travel bans, I do look forward to the next seasonal transition in #Colorado. The season when our state glows, the air is crisp, the days are warm and the evenings are cool, my favorite season, #FallInColorado.
