Improve Sleep, Stress, and Physical Health A study by researchers at The Franklin Health Research Center has found that consuming 2 oz of Young Living Essential Oils NingXia Red daily significantly boosts overall health in areas such as sleep, cognitive wellbeing, physical function, and immune health. Researchers at The Franklin Health Research Center conducted a randomized clinical trial in the United States to evaluate the effects of NingXia Red on multiple health outcomes. 160 healthy adults between the ages of 18-65 were randomized to either a treatment or a control group, with data being collected at the baseline, on day 30, and on day 60 of the study. Each health outcome was measured using multiple clinically and statistically validated instruments. Data collected from the treatment group reported on day 60 revealed improved sleep patterns, increased time asleep by an average of 21 minutes, and a decrease in time of falling asleep by an average of 6 minutes when compared to the control group. As a result of improved sleep quality, NingXia Red drinkers also experienced an average of a 37.9% increase in productivity*. In addition, the study was also clinically shown to reduce daily stress by 23% and improve mental wellbeing*. These effects are much larger in women than in men, and more prevalent in adults aged 20-49 as compared to adults aged 50-65. Compared to the control group, those who consumed NingXia Red were shown to significantly increase physical energy levels by 34.5% and reduce physical limitations by 36%*. Physical limitations due to inflammation, physical function, mental wellbeing, and energy levels were measured by the body’s inability to achieve daily physical tasks such as carrying groceries, using stairs, and taking walks. NingXia Red drinkers also averaged a 27% reduction in somatic symptom scores, which reflects improvement in gastrointestinal health, sleep quality, headaches, and respiratory function*. Those who did not consume NingXia Red were more than 5x more likely to develop moderate to severe respiratory symptoms than the NingXia Red group. #ningxiared #ningxialove #improvingallways #howtosleepbetter #boostingimmunity

Nobody's Sleeping is a helpful and insightful guide for anyone who has trouble sleeping, whether young or old. The book starts with an introduction from the author and his background and how he came to write this book. He uses seven strategies to help you achieve a decent sleep pattern and quality. A huge chunk if the book is more for people with sleep apnea, so if you suffer with this, then this book is definitely for you. But it is also helpful, insightful, and supportive for those who have poor sleep or problems sleeping, too. There are a couple of chapters dedicated to help children, too, which are very useful. . . QOTD. What's your bedtime must haves and routine? (I.e. do you go to bed at a certain time, use an eye mask etc?) . AOTD. I go to bed at 9pm after a shower/bath and read. I lie on my right side to begin with then as I feel like I'm nodding off I roll onto my left. Physically, the body goes through a restorative process that affects the digestive system, the immune system and the cardiovascular system. It has actually been proven that a lack of sleep increases the level of “hunger hormone”, making us eat more than we should and thus increasing the risk for all sorts of diseases. Lack of sleep might increase the risk of getting heart disease and even Alzheimer’s disease. Sleep is good for your brain. Getting the right amount of sleep is crucial when it comes to emotional and cognitive functions. The hours that we sleep allow the brain to catch up and prepare itself for the day ahead. The positive effects of good sleep also affect our ability to focus and concentrate, remember things, solve problems and motivate ourselves. The science behind sleep Sleep consists of four sleep stages that always occur in the same order. Each complete sleep cycle lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. First there is light sleep. This is the stage between being awake and falling asleep. As this happens our heartbeat and our breathing slow down and our muscles relax. The next stage is preparation for deep sleep. Now, our heartbeat and our breathing slow down even more – and our brain activity is also slower. Then we move into deep sleep. During this stage our body is completely relaxed and our brain is running on idle. The repair and restoration processes in our body are taking place. Finally, we move into REM-stage or the dreaming stage. Our eyes are now moving rapidly from side to side and our muscles are paralyzed. 🌛 May is Better Sleep Month! 🛌⁠ ⁠ Sleep is essential for our physical and mental well-being, yet many of us struggle to get enough quality rest. As we celebrate Better Sleep Month, here's some of my top tips and advice for better sleep health:⁠ ⁠ 🌻 Stick to a schedule: Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on the weekends. This helps regulate your body's internal clock and improve the quality of your sleep.⁠ 🌻 Create a relaxing bedtime routine: Wind down before bed with calming activities like reading, meditating or taking a warm bath. Avoid screens (phones, TV's, computers) at least an hour before bedtime, as the blue light can interfere with your ability to fall asleep.⁠ 🌻 Optimise your sleep environment: Make sure your bedroom is conducive to sleep. Keep it cool, dark and quiet. Invest in a comfortable mattress and pillows, and consider using white noise machines or earplugs if noise is a problem.⁠ 🌻 Watch you diet and exercise: Avoid heavy meals, caffeine and alcohol close to bedtime, as they can disrupt your sleep. Jeg lægger mig fladt! Både Isaks søvn og tiden vi bruger på at putte, er blevet væsentligt forbedret efter vi har fået mørklægning fra @howtosleepbetter.dk (reklame) Jeg var ret skeptisk omkring hvor meget det egentligt ville virke, men det var der slet ikke grundt til. Vi er gået fra at bruge 1-1,5 time på at putte, til at bruge 30-40 min på det.
