Movie Review Movie Title: PostCards Source: Netflix Genre: TV Series (Comedy) Starring: Sola Sobowale. Richard Mofe Damijo. Tobi Bakre. Rajniesh Duggall. Rahama Sadau. Plot: A woman travels to India for a surgery and ends up reunited with her brother and son. Review. For a six chapter series the plotholes in this movie was as wide as a lake. The movie moves at a fast pace and leaves lots of questions in its build up. Some of which were hurriedly answered and others left to providence Custume was an highlight and the merge of the Nigerian and Indian culture was great to see. Acting wasn't a problem, the lead Nigerian cast delivered on their roles and the Indians actors did same. Seeing our beloved Nigerian actors in the midst of Indians was a great visual. The language merge worked too. The storyline and plot progression ranked low. I dare say it'd have been better as one movie instead of the break into chapters. The movie had some lessons also and these are lessons one can relate to and learn from. PostCards is a feel good movie, and it presents a unique blend of Nollywood and Bollywood. You should watch. Postcards was directed and produced by @hamishadaryaniahuja Rating: 6 /10. Side Nuggets. 1. Is it just me or does anyone else feel like Nancy Isime did Waka Pass? 2. Except for the Jollof Rice I expected more from the cuisine. 3. Movie Review Movie Title: Strained Source:Netflix Genre: Drama Starring: Queen Nwokoye. Tracy George. Stanley Nnabuike. Padita Agu. Plot: A daughter and her long estranged mother reunite and settle their differences after she puts to bed. Review. I'd say that this is one movie with a simple storyline and a linear direction, and the Actors and Director brought it to life in a simple manner. Settings and Location was good, not like they used many locations but the places used gave the movie a good feel. The Music and Custume were good. Acting was good. At a point it felt like a three character movie. Queen Nwokoye really needs to be given more scripts. Here's where I had one or two problems. The progression and emotional investment. The scene where the “elephant in the room” was addressed. It could have been better played, and this could only have happened if the acting and the actors were in sync. I know I said the acting was good and I meant it but it was good individually. The progression of the story didn't allow us to be fully invested in the characters also a bit of background or flashbacks would have helped. When what we finally expected to happen, and I say expect to happen because really no part of the movie took me by surprise, when it happened it was just there. Bland and dull. There was no action or suspense displayed. Even that slap could have been better. The pictures and trailer of the movie prepares you for an emotional roller-coaster, but the movie itself does not deliver on it. I dare say the ending could have been better too. Strained, like I said earlier is a simple movie with one of the simplest storylines ever. I loved the fact that the issues like domestic violence raised was addressed and a solution given. Strained is a relatable and good movie and I think you should watch it. The language also made it sweeter. Rating: 7/10. Side Nuggets 1.Queen Nwokoye looked like a grandma all through, but that Make Up scene showed us the truth. 😂 2.The name “Nne Mummy” she kept calling her daughter made me smile because I have an aunt who calls me exactly that. 3. #TVReview BABY REINDEER (Netflix) Just jumping on the praise train to say #BabyReindeer is simply phenomenal. Incredible stuff and definitely not what I thought it’d be going into it. Goes from toe-curling cringe comedy to a dark, painfully honest dissection of the unspoken malevolence of abuse. Full props to Richard Gadd and I can’t imagine how hard it was for him to put his trauma out there like that, but I’m very glad he did because this is for sure a show of the year contender. Score: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

🍿Miniserie. Drama, historia, suspenso. 🎞️ Dos individuos armados y encapuchados secuestran y amenazan con volar el vuelo 601 a menos que el gobierno colombiano libere a 50 presos políticos y les pague un considerable rescate en efectivo. Cuenta la historia del secuestro aéreo más largo en América Latina. Hoy vimos esta historia basada en hechos de la vida real. Debo destacar que las actuaciones para mi estuvieron muy buenas y a la altura. Me parecieron súper creíbles y bien trabajadas. Me gustó mucho cómo inició la película, fue una escena que me atrapó enseguida y permitió que creara empatía instantánea con sus personajes. La historia es interesante y pienso está bien dirigida. Por igual, fue una producción aceptable y acorde al contexto y época. Está contada desde la perspectiva de las azafatas y cómo vivieron ese difícil suceso. Si algo tuviera que criticar de manera negativa es que me la encontré innecesariamente larga y con un guion un tanto poético que condujo a unos cuantos momenticos de aburrimiento. Siento que debieron acortar y hubiese estado mejor. La música fue una selección diversa, buena pero por momentos extraña 😅 y debo confesar que me reí mucho en momentos en que no estaba del todo segura si debía por el evento que estaba pasando. En fin, se que no es de lo mejor, pero a mi me entretuvo, me causó intriga, suspenso e interés y a pesar de sus fallas es una que pienso vale la pena darle un chance. The journey is over and done with and what a season we got. Alot of stuff went down and it was a great season to get conversations started especially hatecrime and how you see people might not be the whole truth. It was a really strong season in that way. And I’m surpriced I got what I wanted from it but maybe in a different way than I thought. It was a great finale of the show and I still have the documentary left to watch but I highly recommend that you pick it up if you haven’t already! 😁

Hace semanaaaaas les debía este review!! Hace tiempito que la vimos ya y puede decir que nos gustó! A mi, mucho! Me pareció una entrega novedosa muyyyyy bien hecha y entretenida. Y es que tiene todo para ser buena empezando con que es de los productores de GOT quienes por supuesto eligieron unos cuantos actores de la épica GOT y formaron un elenco muy reconocido que hacen un buen trabajo. La serie tiene una premisa misteriosa de la cual vamos descubriendo a medida que avanzan los capítulos y es un suspenso tan bien trabajado que logra que quieras ver un episodio tras otro. El desarrollo es intrigante y crea mucha expectativa. Hay de por medio una excelente dirección y producción que da gusto. Me encantó como lo que parecen ser diferentes historias de van uniendo y cobrando sentido. Tiene escenas un tanto gráficas como es característico de ellos, pero que hacen de la serie una muy particular. Te la pasas entre entendiendo y no entendiendo pero en un buen sentido. Muy buenos efectos visuales, buena música, creo que todos los aspectos técnicos funcionan muy bien y están bien logrados. Debo reconocer que el guion por momentos como que flaquea y algunos personajes se comportan como tontos, pero no afecta tanto el desarrollo de la serie. 🍿Serie. Crimen, drama, Thriller psicológico Quedé muy satisfecha con esta serie. Hay 2 películas que se basan en esta misma historia que a su vez se basa en una novela escrita por Patricia Highsmith y una de ellas estuvo nominada a 5 premios Oscars en los 90’. Protagonizada por Matt Damon, Jude Law y Gwyneth Paltrow. Esta la vi luego de la serie porque me llamó mucho la atención la buena crítica y aunque no me encantó, estuvo bien. Puede ser que como vi la serie primero, ya conocía la historia y pues no fue tan wao! Sobre la serie debo decir que me pareció •TREMENDA• producción, una cinematografía muy especial a blanco y negro que le da justo el toque que necesita todo el suspenso que envuelve al desarrollo de la serie. Al principio me molestaba, pero al final pienso que fue la decisión más acertada. El elenco es bueno, pero debo destacar a quien encarna a Ripley, Andrew Scott 🔥🔥 •EJPECTACULAR• una interpretación profunda y oscura que proyecta la locura de este señor, me fascinó!!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻 Sentí a Dakota un poco lineal y como neutra, pero creo que iba bien en el contexto de la historia, aunque sí muy diferente a la Marge de la película. La dirección es pausada y llena de muchos detalles y tomas de espacios y paisajes que reafirman todo el contexto misterioso y por momentos bizarro de la serie. La música muy adecuada y el desarrollo de la historia siempre intrigante. Por momentos teníamos unas pinceladas de humor negro que le da un toque aún más siniestro a la serie y debo decir que me gustó muchísimo. No puedo dejar de destacar que siento que disfruté más el Dickie de Jude Law que el de la serie y es que pienso que hacía más sentido que fuera como ese que como el que tenemos en la serie. Pero, la verdad pienso no sería justo comparar, cada uno tiene su encanto. La manipulación de estos adultos es preocupante , y lo peor es que sigue ocurriendo😡. Romance 🎞️ Esta historia de amor narra la relación de toda la vida del director y compositor Leonard Bernstein y la actriz Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein. 🌟 OSCARS MOOD 🌟 Hasta que finalmente terminé Maestro 🫣 fue la primera que empecé a ver de las nominadas a mejor película y fue la última que terminé 😅 Bueno es que de algo no hay duda: es •MUY• lenta 😥 Pero debo admitir que luego como de la primera hora mejora sustancialmente, puedo decir que hasta terminó gustándome porque la verdad es que no iba por buen camino. Me atrevo a decir que pareciera una película filmada por dos personas diferentes. Bradley Cooper es tremendo actor 👏🏼 pienso hizo un grandioso trabajo y que su nominación es merecida, además de que los expertos aseguran que fue muy fiel al Lenny de la vida real. Pero quien se destaca para mí, es Carey Mulligan, que si no es Emma que se lleva ese Oscar a mejor actriz debe ser ella 🙌🏼🙌🏼uffff!! Que actuación de esa mujer!!! De principio a fin: •FENOMENAL• La historia no me pareció taaannn interesante… pero puedo decir que el guion estuvo bien, y que luego de la primera hora la película logra engancharte en la caótica vida de este señor. Quizás quien sepa más de música y de este director de orquesta pueda disfrutar mejor la cinta, pero de todas formas creo que hay como una fuerte división que empezó mostrando a Lenny (nuestro prota) y su maravilloso don en la dirección de una orquesta y se encamina en gran medida a la relación con su esposa. Y por lo que he leído esto no ha gustado mucho, ya que se entiende que la película debió enfocarse más en la grandiosidad de Leonard Bernstein que en su vida marital. Instead of the date doctor, you’ve got a group of players who run around NYC running scams to get people to hook up with them. When Mack discovers that her one night stand from a night of “playing” could be date potential, they team up to run their greatest scam of all, the long game. The movie is cute and goofy, nothing spectacular but entertaining enough. I could spot the ending a mile away but that didn’t make it any less charming. Now streaming on Netflix! Girl loves a bit of true con, scamfluence. The rate that these docs are dropping is insane but this one is a great watch! - Brilliant access to most of the major players ✅ - A main character that you shouldnt like but is so charismatic (and pretty easy on the eye 🤣) that you’re really drawn in ✅ - Super premium recons that feature the actual people so that you feel like you’re watching the story unfold in real time. ✅ - Twists and surprises in the story that are almost laugh out loud ✅ - Deliciously darkly comical ✅ - The feeling of watching a Hollywood blockbuster due to the style, finish and premium feel ✅ - Standout storytelling ✅ There’s scenes where the main protagonist is getting measured for a suit and the way they get the ‘tailors’ (I assume they’re actors) to interview him is genius! It checks so many boxes for me, I wouldn’t say it’s the craziest story I’ve ever heard but the production value is like a slick movie, GFX are glorious too. "American Nightmare," the latest addition to Netflix's library of disturbing documentary series, explores failed Justice and a hit movie? Taking viewers on a journey through the twisted landscapes of fear and paranoia. The series explores the narratives of each person within the case. Every episode follows one or more people. Each has a story of events that delves into the terrorising idea of the system not caring and failing us. In 2015, an intruder broke into the home of Denise Huskin and her boyfriend, Aaron Quinn, in Vallejo, California. Drugging them before abducting Huskins and holding her for ransom. Once Aaron Quinn went to the police for help, he was shocked to discover he was not believed – and was suspected of being responsible for her disappearance and even murder. The case was quickly compared to the hit film Gone Girl and the best-selling novel by Gillian Flynn. Consequently, "American Nightmare" ventures into a genuinely disturbing territory due to what happened to the couple and how the system was so quickly to blame and even a witch hunt on both of them. Even though they were innocent and true villains, they were released multiple times, and the police did nothing. In conclusion, "American Nightmare" is a standout addition to Netflix's t lineup. With its combination of storytelling and atmospheric cinematography. Some parts were a bit boring, and once the shock wore off. It becomes another true-crime documentary that you can put in the background. Now for the reviews ✍️✍️📖 1) LIFT Rating : 7/10 This is a good movie and exemplary acting skills from the actors and this will the first time @kevinhart4real shows on the screen as a action hero , kudos to him but I think we are all use to him being the funny guy however he acted it out well . The story line is nice involves using a problem to solve a bigger problem 2) ADIRE Rating : 6.5/10 ADIRE @_kehindebankole is the story of a retired prostitute who want to do better , for herself so she went to start a new life in a new town away from her past , but her past came back to haunt her . The movie is a really good one but could have been better , it has a little bit of comedy in it ( I really enjoyed it ). Kudos to the cast and crew 3) ROLE PLAY Rating : 5/10 This is the story of a spy who also has a family that is totally unaware of her job . So she tries to keep her secret and lead a normal life with her family. Acción, espías, crimen, suspenso. 🎞️ Un agente de inteligencia de una oscura agencia global de mantenimiento de la paz se apresura a impedir que un hacker robe su arma más valiosa y peligrosa. Este finde vimos esta película que salió hace unos meses ya. No es una mala cinta, sí que está llena de básicamente lo mismo que vemos en películas de este estilo pero en general se logra disfrutar. Tiene un elenco muy reconocido que hacen un buen trabajo, tienen química entre ellos y sus personajes se encuentran bien definidos. Debo decir que me gusta mucho Jamie Dornan. Lo más destacable creo que es el aspecto tecnológico y sus efectos especiales, me parecieron super bien diseñados y que funcionaron y se integraron muy bien en la historia. El desarrollo del film es aunque predecible, entretenido y te mantiene atento en todo cuanto va pasando, a pesar de que la historia es bastante común y repetida, permite una atención enfocada en la película. Hay buenas escenas de persecución y peleas que estuvieron bien logradas. En fin, es más de lo mismo, agentes secretos que todo lo pueden son imprescindibles en sus agencias y sobreviven a todo. If you are searching for a thought-provoking film that explores two family's struggles to trust each other while facing the impending destruction of civilization and what that could mean for them all ... then keep searching! Leave The World Behind is a slow, glacial paced narrative about an unknown attack, from an unknown assailant, that cripples the American infrastructure via escalating attacks to communications, information, and infrastructure. Though the concept itself is very intriguing, the execution is rather lackluster. Despite attempts from the cast to try and elevate the story into something deep and meaningful, the script itself is dire. Making every character insufferable and unrelatable is a flex for sure, but it forces the audience to endear you to no one. This is made even worse by stilted dialogue, strange reactions to events, and the audience waiting for simple conversations which don't materialise between the characters. 2 hours later, the film cuts off abruptly in what would usually be the second act of any other film. Hace días terminé de ver esta película que algunos de ustedes me dijeron que viera! Pues les cuento que pienso que la cinta tiene un suspenso muy bien trabajado, la verdad es que logra mantenerte en expectativa la mayor parte de toda la película. Las actuaciones también son buenas, hacen todas esas mujeres buenas interpretaciones. Aunque no me asusté, de dar unos que otros brincos, debo admitir que por varios momentos andaba con los ojos tapados y el corazón a mil 😂 Ahora bien, como siento que suele pasar con las películas de este género, el final no me convenció del todo.. lo sentí forzado. La historia estuvo un tanto floja, quizás si hubiese tenido un guion que enganchara un poco más, el desarrollo hubiese sido mejor. 🍿Película. Crimen, drama. 🎞️ Liza sueña con una vida mejor para ella y su hija. Contratada para trabajar para una compañía farmacéutica en quiebra, Liza se dispara en ventas y en la buena vida, colocándola en medio de una conspiración criminal federal. Otra entrega relacionada con la locura de las farmacéuticas y sus ansias de dinero y poder. Me gustó mucho, es entretenida, interesante, bien dirigida, con un elenco muy bueno que hace un gran trabajo. Chris Evans se destaca en su interpretación al igual que Emely Blunt que es tremenda actriz. La historia al igual que las demás muy similares a esta lo que causa es indignación e impotencia por el engaño que le hacen a gente inocente. La película me parece es una muy buena producción que está muy bien ejecutada. Acción, suspenso, crimen, misterio. 🎞️ Después de un fatídico casi accidente, un asesino lucha contra sus empleadores y contra él mismo, en una persecución internacional que él insiste no es personal. Les tenía pendiente este review! 😅 Lo primero a destacar es la actuación de Michael Fassbender 🫶🏻🙌🏼 tremendo actor que sabe lo que hace y que como es usual logra llamar la atención. Lo segundo es que, el ver mi media isla en una película de la industria más reconocida del cine, me infla el pecho de orgullo y emoción! Y no dizque dos minutitos no… fue un tiempo considerable que podemos ver las calles, playas y esplendor de nuestro país 😍🫶🏻 Entonces, la historia, a pesar de que puede resultar interesante, la dirección me la encontré un tanto aburrida. Es de un ritmo lento, donde los momentos de acción en su mayoría son escasos y pasan bien rápido. Quizás tenía expectativas muy altas tratándose de una película con un actor del calibre de Fassbender y quedé un tanto decepcionada. No es que la cinta no se pueda ver, sin embargo, no me pareció que valga 100% la pena. Pienso también, que la narrativa de la voz en off no ayudó y más bien permitió que se sentiera aún más el ritmo pausado que la hacía aburrida. 🍿Serie. Crimen, drama, suspenso. 🎬 Cuatro detectives en cuatro períodos diferentes de Londres se encuentran investigando el mismo asesinato. Les tenía este review pendiente. Hace días terminamos de ver Bodies. Una entrega que me sorprendió gratamente. Si viste Dark, una serie alemana espectacular del 2017 y te gustó, puede que Bodies también porque es muy similar. Relacionada con los viajes en el tiempo, esta nueva entrega de Netflix estuvo a la altura y logro entretenerme en todo momento. Tiene una muy buena dirección que atrapa tu atención, un ritmo activo que no permite que te aburras. Las actuaciones son buenas y el guión se sostiene muy bien en sí mismo. Me encantó la forma en la que nos van mostrando cómo se conectan las historias y cómo todo va cobrando sentido. Un trabajo de edición muy bien logrado con un suspenso que se supo definir. Cada episodio te deja queriendo más. La ambientación de cada época permitió que nos sintiéramos en el año en que estaba pasando ese momento y eso te adentra más en el desarrollo de la serie. Es un tanto diferente porque introduce un crimen y eso para mi le da un toque especial porque me gusta ese contenido. Me parece que el guión es inteligente y está muy bien configurado y cuida todos los detalles, lo que hace de la serie una que merece la pena ver. This felt like a real let down. “All The Light We Cannot” see was a book turned limited series that has a very clumsy page to screen adaptation, in my opinion. I really wanted to like this and I had heard great things about the book, I didn’t read it, but the translation to the screen felt slow, clumsy and a bit dull. Mark Ruffalo’s accent is one of the worst things I have ever heard, absolutely no idea why he was cast in the role, and distracted me in every scene he appeared in. I’m sad to say I was disappointed in the first episode of Netflix’s adaptation of this beautiful novel, and I don’t think I’ll be watching more of it. To me, it seemed clunky, ham-handed and pedestrian where the novel was subtle, poetic and ethereal. I definitely don’t want to overlay my memories of Doerr’s gorgeous book with Mark Ruffalo’s clumsy attempt at a British accent, and Steven Knight and Shawn Levy’s data-dumping exposition. 🍿Película. Drama, suspenso. 🎥Embarazada, sola y a la deriva en el mar, una mujer encerrada en un contenedor de mercancías trata de sobrevive tras escapar de un país totalitario devastado. Anoche vimos esta nueva entrega española de Netflix, la tenía en lista y varios de ustedes me dijeron que la viera. Pues quedé gratamente complacida, por lo general me gustan este tipo de películas porque me pongo a imaginarme qué haría yo en una situación similar. Y esta la verdad es que tiene una buena producción y dirección. Me gustó la actuación de su protagonista Anna Castillo, pienso que se desenvolvió bien en su personaje y logró que conectáramos con todo el caos que estaba viviendo. Empezó floja pero luego pienso que mejoró considerablemente. La película me pareció súper estresante, emocionante y desesperante cada cosa que le va pasando, pienso que el guión se sostuvo bien por sí mismo y que la dirección permite que el espectador se mantenga pegado a la pantalla en todo momento. Me encantó el ingenio que le impregnaron, las cosas que se le van ocurriendo para sobrevivir, ese parto fue épico, de verdad es mortificante pero emocionante a la vez. Sí pasan cosas que no tienen mucho sentido y que no funcionan, pero…. La verdad no son de tal magnitud que dañen la cinta. Por otro lado hay un elemento muy conmovedor al ver a una madre luchar por sobrevivir para su recién nacido. Quizás era predecible pero el camino hacia allá fue lo suficientemente difícil como para no resultar aburrido. Un suspenso muy bien manejado que te mantiene en expectativa en todo momento. En fin, pienso que vale la pena verla, se logra disfrutar, no es lo mejor que hay, pero entretiene bastante. 🍿Mini serie. Drama, historia, bélico. 🎞️ La historia de la Easy Company de la División Aerotransportada 101 del Ejército de los Estados Unidos y su misión en la Segunda Guerra Mundial en Europa. Hace mucho estoy leyendo que Band of Brothers es de las mejores series creadas junto con Breaking Bad y Game of Thrones. Y finalmente decidí verla. ‼️Si a usted no le gustan la historias de guerra definitivamente esta serie no es para usted. De lo contrario, podrá apreciar una obra maestra basada en hechos de la vida real. La historia es sumamente envolvente y al tener una dirección con un nivel tan alto, unas escenas de acción y explosiones taaan bien logradas y un elenco estrella, Band of Brothers se ganó el lugar de estar dentro de las mejores de la historia de las series. Los capítulos son largos sin embargo esto no es obstáculo para disfrutar el gran trabajo que se realizó en cada uno de ellos. Una cinematografia perfecta, unos efectos que hacen que te sientas en plena guerra luchando contra los mismos nazis y un suspenso inigualable. No dejo de pensar en todas las calamidades que vivieron esos jóvenes soldados, lo traumatizados que quedaban, lo poco que valían sus vidas y lo efímero que podían ser sus días en tanto caos. Se le estremece el corazón a cualquiera reviviendo con ellos tanto miedo, angustia y desesperación. Conecté muchísimo con la historia porque se siente todo muy real y auténtica, cada actor logró que su personaje se destacara y permitió que quisieras ver un capítulo tras otro. Y además, tener a los verdaderos sobrevivientes iniciando cada episodio 😥😰 Honestamente todos los aspectos técnicos de la serie son meritorios, desde la fotografía, pasando por la música, las escenografías, vestuario, utilería, dirección (Spielberg y Tom Hanks 🤩🙌🏼) todo, es una producción robusta que vale la pena de inicio a fin. What unravels is an intricate web of relationships, motives, and dark secrets, further underscored by the inclusion of "Rosa Peral's Tapes," which Netflix has thoughtfully made available concurrently. Úrsula Corberó, known to many as Tokyo from the popular series "Money Heist" (2017-21), takes center stage, portraying the enigmatic Rosa Peral. Her performance is nothing short of stellar; she excels in capturing the essence of a character grappling with internal turmoil. Her controlled demeanor and ability to convey raw emotion without resorting to theatrics only serve to heighten the suspense. It was, admittedly, her reputation from "Money Heist" that initially drew me to "Burning Body." While the pacing is deliberate, each scene is dripping with tension. Every character is masterfully developed, bearing layers of depth and mystery. The meticulously crafted storyline, coupled with a thought-provoking ending, firmly establishes "Burning Body" as a standout within the 'Dark Crime Thriller' genre. The fact that this tale mirrors real-life events only adds to its allure. Despite its many merits, I did occasionally find the series to be languid, and for that reason, I'm deducting one star. 🍿Miniserie. Crime, drama. 🎥 Las causas y consecuencias de la epidemia de opioides en Estados Unidos se desarrollan en este drama que sigue a sus perpetradores, víctimas y una investigadora que busca la verdad. Anoche vimos esta miniserie que está basada en hechos de la vida real. Esta historia ya fue contada por otra miniserie del 2021 que se llamó: Dopesick, protagonizada por el genial Michael Keaton y la cual tuvo muy buena acogida por parte del público y la crítica profesional del cine, tanto así que recibió diversas nominaciones en premios de su categoría. Esta llamada Painkiller también cuenta con un elenco muyyyyy bueno; Uzo Aduba ( a quien podemos recordar de Orange is the new black) quien hace tremendo trabajo 👏🏼 me agradó mucho verla haciendo algo más serio. Así como también: Mathew Broderick y Taylor Kitsch quienes por igual se destacan en sus interpretaciones. Me gustó mucho la dirección de la serie, pienso que lograron transmitir lo que pudieron haber estado sintiendo todas las personas que lamentablemente experimentaron este desdichado evento. Tanto las víctimas, sus familiares como quienes estuvieron luchando por acabar con ese engaño. La música, la edición, cómo se desarrolló la historia, todo funciona muy bien. El elenco es muy bueno y eleva la calidad de lo que se nos presenta. La forma en la que fueron presentando todo es enérgica y va mostrando el trasfondo sobre el engaño y lo que provocan el dinero y el poder en el ser humano. Un suceso que causa mucha impotencia y lástima, ver cómo la burocracia resuelve temas tan delicados e importantes de una forma tan negligente es honestamente •CRUEL• y también cómo profesionales de la salud se dejaran influenciar de esa manera, verdaderamente es impresionante. En fin, pienso que esta entrega es meritoria y vale la pena verla, al igual que la versión de Hulu: Dopesick. AI is becoming a topic of focus and it’s been like this for a little while, Chat GPT is like a buzzword and a tool that might have the answer to everything. We’ve probably learnt a fair bit about AI and how much it can improve our lives. This was certainly supposed to be the case in T.I.M which is a story about a technologically integrated manservant who goes to live with its owner Abi (played by Georgina Campbell) and her husband, Paul. He’s basically like a walking Chat GPT (in my opinion) that helps them around the house and is pretty much there to automate their day to day tasks. Paul isn’t really feeling T.I.M but Abi just feels like he just needs time to warm up to him. I don’t blame him though because I wouldn’t really want some robot in my personal space all the time. It’s all good that they can make life easier for me doing this and that but yeah it’s not for me. The interesting thing about this plot is that it takes a twisted turn and you really start to look at T.I.M in a different light. The guy from the jump just looks creepy but maybe that’s just me. The ending was unexpected but I felt like it could have been better but regardless it was a good watch. It does make you wonder what the future of AI could look like. Would you have an AI housekeeper in your home? Would it be too invasive? I’m all for advanced technology and all that good stuff but personal space is too sacred for me to compromise that for a robot. T.I.M is currently streaming on Netflix. After a long break, I’m back with another review. The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem debuted last year on Netflix and I was so happy they just came out with season 2. Meet the Ermosas, a family living in Jerusalem from the early to mid 1900s . Gavriel is your typical strong-willed-in-some-areas, weak-willed-in-others man, who (very) quickly falls in love with Rochel, a woman he notices in his family’s shop one day. But Mercada, his meddling mom who always seems to get her way, marries him off to Rosa, a determined-to-please orphan, with better lineage. They have three daughters, the first of which is Luna. Luna knows she’s gorgeous and isn’t necessarily full of herself but definitely assumes things will go her way, so she says whatever she wants with a smile and a laugh. She’s treasured by her father, and while her mother loves her too, she can’t help her jealously, so tension there. Actually, there’s tension between a lot of people, Gavriel and Rosa, Gavriel and Mercada, Mercada and Rosa (she hasn’t given her a male grandchild) the Ermosas and their neighbors, Ephraim, Rosa’s terrorist brother and the community, the Israelis and the British… So many interconnected plot lines were woven into this show and I loved that there was always something going on, be it emotional, business-related, political or even paranormal (Mercada liked to visit a witch from time to time). A lot of care was taken to portray nuanced relationships between the characters, especially over time, and you can usually see where the other side is coming from anytime there’s a conflict, how it’s like in real life. This was a show I was really able to get into—which is hard these days. A fun and quirky zombie flick that has only just begun to air the first few episodes of it's anime version, 'Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead' is part comedy, part drama, with a sprinkle of horror and a serving of shonen hero. It doesn't take itself too seriously and it's themes are all too easily relatable, providing a fun Zombieland like experiemce as Akira works through a list of things he needs to do before he dies (and turns into a Zombie). The zombies were all well done, but it's the character journeys that are interesting and it fully embraces it's wild and silly side by the end. I loved it. Uncertain as to the hard push to get this out whilst the anime has only just started, so definitely avoid if you have begun that - as you will obviously be spoiled. FATAL SEDUCTION ⭐⭐ When I heard there was a new installment of something deliciously dark by SA. I was happy to see something and finally enjoy some delivery of dark romance. Only to discover 30 mins in that it was a copy of "Dark desire." But I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and continue, only to realize that not only was this a copy, but a complete and shameless copy and paste. 😭🥺 My shamelessness couldn't make me finish it. Everything and I mean everything was the same with "Dark desire." How do you copy a series and add nothing new? There was nothing new, nothing fresh, nothing unique. At least add a fresh sub plot, a different dialogue etc. No! Everything was the same. Very disappointed.
