We’ve got into a rhythm this week - out with the oldies in the morning, then leave them back at the cottage in the afternoon whilst we go out again for a longer walk. This morning we took a trip to the huge sandy beach at Crantock, the sun making an appearance just for the time we were there. We called in at the excellent Trevilley Farm Shop on our return, bringing back some locally made cheeses. This afternoon, it was back to Harlyn Bay for a superb walk 🥾on the coastal path to the lighthouse at Trevose Head, returning via a field full of sheep and lambs. A bright but extremely blustery day with strong winds from the north gave us the idea to try the south coast in hopes of a little shelter. And we found it at Mevagissey with its colourful harbour. At Con itself, there were so many behind the scenes moments that you probably didn’t get to see: phone calls, planning meetings, getting lost at HOTA (and getting found at HOTA), slide deck organisation, equipment organisation and IT wizardry, all culminating in what you would’ve seen on stage. And on the part of our speakers, who also put in innumerable hours of prep time, travel time, and stage time in for us. We feel so privileged to have been able to learn from some of the absolute finest in our field. Their generosity and our gratefulness is unparalleled.
