Happy Halloween! I love Prague, it is such an amazing city, full of incredible architecture with something jaw dropping around every corner. It can be a creepy place too with the most macabre being The Sedlec Ossuary, a Roman Catholic church, more commonly known as The Bone Church at Kutná Hora. It is covered with over 40,000 human skeletons. The bones were bleached then ornately carved, and exquisitely decorate the whole church! The skeletons are said to be made up of over 30,000 victims of the 14th century plague, thousands from the 15th century Crusades and the rest are those that died throughout the ages. The most spectacular carving has to be the chandelier that is made up of every single bone of the human body! Dopo anni di razzie vandaliche e furti d’arte, incentivati dall’assenza di presidio umano e di manutenzione solo da sei mesi una associazione di volontari ne ha cura. Merito della attuale Curia che ne ha concesso l’uso e merito dei volontari che adesso la chiesa si apra, si visiti ed occasionalmente ospiti eventi pubblici. 17 anni di sostanziale incuria per un organismo antichissimo sono tanti e le condizioni generali pur se non eccellenti hanno del miracoloso. До наших дней дошёл целый комплекс строений, который помимо церкви включает в себя мавзолей и ряд руинизированных построек, размещающихся на рукотворной платформе. Каким-то чудом на фресках храма сохранился текст на греческом, языке фиксирующий дату постройки. Это настолько большая редкость, что я не удержусь и процитирую его (к сожалению, на фото текст очень тяжело разобрать) "Освящен, обновлен храм пресвятой Богородицы в царствование Никифора, императора и августа... и Давида, эксусиократора Алании, и Марии эксусиократориссы 2 апреля, в день святой антипасхи, рукою Феодора, митрополита освященного Алании, от сотворения мира в 6473 г(965г). Написано рукой имярек, апокрисария патрикия." Духовным покровительством не заканчивается влияние Византии; некоторые специалисты считают, что Сентинский храм был построен зодчими из Малой Азии. Мастера из этого региона привнесли незнакомые ранее здесь архитектурные и строительные технологии; к примеру, в убранстве церкви появились арочные фронтоны в концах рукавов, ступенчатые подпорные стенки и даже водоотводные лотки. Некоторое сходство архитектурных приемов можно найти в византийских памятниках острова Кипр. Пытливому путнику могут попасться на глаза странные знаки, высеченные на стенах храма. Дело в том, что до прихода сюда христианства на месте будущего храма существовало языческое святилище. Высеченные на камнях петроглифы были, неотъемлемой частью сакрального действа древних алан. Множество легенд окутывает это место: мифические Нарты устраивали здесь свои таинства в святилищах, во время гражданской воины молодой осетин, спасаясь от красноармейцев, спрыгнул с вершины вниз на своей бурке, спланировав подобно бейсджамперу и даже современные поисковые системы указывают на картах эфемерную резиденцию царей Алании, а не храм Святого Георгия. Между тем, Шоанинский храм представляет собой интересный образец церкви крестово-купольного типа, которая установлена на основании в виде массивной платформы. В прошлом ее внутренние полости и надстройки создавали сложную объёмно-пространственную структуру. Его архитектура напоминает Собор Успения Пресвятой Богородицы в Мокве, что лишний раз доказывает абхазское влияние. Уникальная особенность храма гранённый барабан, такой архитектурный элемент больше не встречается в этом регионе. Северный храм стоит особняком от двух других храмов Нижне-Архызского городища и, вероятнее всего, находился вне города, в отдельной цитадели. По своим размерам (21.0х10.5 метра) он превосходит все сохранившиеся на сегодняшний день средневековые памятники республики. Специалисты отождествляют церковь с кафедральным храмом Аланской епархии. "Южный храм" или церковь Ильи пророка (Х век). Нижне-Архызский историко-архитектурный и археологический комплекс. Республика Карачаево-Черкессия. В 950 году Аланское царство вновь становится союзником Византии и начинается второй этап в строительстве христианских храмов в этом районе. Один из таких храмов небольшая церковь Ильи пророка (6.2х7.7 метра). Она находится в самом центре Нижне-Архызского городища, которое многие специалисты отождествляют со столицей Аланского царства-Магасом. Небольшие размеры строения могут означать принадлежность его к богатой усадьбе, в качестве домовой церкви, а также есть предположение, что храм множество раз перестраивался и первоначально относился к базиликальному типу и только в последствии приобрёл свой современный вид, став крестово-купольной церковью. "Средний храм"(Х век). Нижне-Архызский историко-архитектурный и археологический комплекс. Республика Карачаево-Черкессия. Пласт древнерусской архитектуры настолько велик, что мы забываем о не больших, но не менее важных культурах, которые зачастую старше русской. Наиболее интересным, в данном случае, является комплекс из пяти объектов Х века, принадлежащих аланской культуре. Дело в том, что аланы (народ занимавший в описываемое время центральную часть северного Кавказа) на 74 года раньше русских приняли православие. С этого момента у них началось строительство православных храмов. Первые двадцать лет строительство шло не бойко, а с 932 года прекратилось вовсе, так как Алания выпала из под византийского влияния и попала под хазарское. И все же, в первый период своей христианской истории аланы создали несколько христианских объектов. До наших дней хорошо сохранился довольно крупный храм относящийся к крестово-купольный конструктивной системе. Он расположен на окраине Нижне-Архызского городища.
