It’s that time of the year, one of my favorite seasons. So to get In the Christmas’s spirit I decided to check this new attraction in the city: Disneys Santa Claus winter wonderland Here’s my honest review: it’s a good place to have cute pictures on a date. General admissions grant you a hot chocolate and it’s 20$ bucks and you get to “ice skate” on their rink. However it’s not really ice there and it’s almost like a hard board. It’s not slippery at all and the skates get stuck constantly. We decided to not even try putting skates on because I saw a lot of people either just walking or falling a lot. That part was off, but the themes and the picture spots are really cute and the hot chocolate is good enough to help you get warm. Alton Towers Review - 2023 🔑 1. Theming & Story The theming and story of each roller coaster is mostly enjoyable, along with some of the themed cue lines. The Alton towers central building has a strong presence, but the theme park as a whole did not feel cohesive and or thematic. ★★★☆☆ 🔑 2. Technical & Quality I was not very excited to walk around the park because of the serious and dark look of the attractions. The entertainers are underwhelming, but it was hard to deny the local feel. There are souvenir shops at the exits of the attractions, but I wonder how many guests buy goods with the attraction logos. The kids area had some famous characters such as Postman Pat, but the paint was peeling and the area looked run-down. ★★☆☆☆ 🔑 3. Customer Experience Food is expensive, so try to hold off on main meals. Fast track passes, which allow you to skip the wait, start at £50 for the cheapest one, and are worth it if you go on a crowded day. Parking was far away and very stressful with heavy traffic on the way back. ★☆☆☆☆ 🔑 4. Inclusion & Diversity Alton towers targets teenagers, adults and small children. Since it is mainly roller coasters, it feels like the majority of people are late teens and young adults. There is a garden and other areas for strolling, so there are elements that can be enjoyed by elderly people and the non thrill seekers. ★★★☆☆ 🔑 5. Entertainment Value If you are looking for an intense roller coaster, you will definitely enjoy it. Don't look for anything magical. My personal opinion is that the gangsta granny area should be changed to another character to please the kids. Our trip to the Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium didn't disappoint. The number of exhibits that they have, give a unique experience for all ages. Touch pools with stingrays, horseshoe crabs, and even one with sharks. Veterans get discounted tickets on veterans day, and active duty military personnel get one free admission. Their site says it takes about 2 hours to see everything, and we agree! There's so much to see and do, and you really want to take your time seeing all of the animals. Flight of the Hippogriff. Well I do have to be honest and say this isn’t my fave. We waited in line for a really long time and the ride goes for maybe 40 secs. This attraction is great for kids. My full review of the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! *** NO SPOILERS 😅 I do get motion sickness…. However…. Remember: things will impact people differently …. So don’t say “well Connie said I’d be fine, but I got sick!” 😅 Not my fault 🤣 ☕️Teacups: I can ride if my individual cup doesn’t spin. If it spins….. forget it. I’m nauseous 🤢 🐀 Ratatouille: When we get the part where you are running thru the wall, with the video, I have to close my eyes…. 🤢 🎸 Rock N Roller Coaster: no issues!👌🏼 🌿 Flight of Passage: fine until we get to the red ikran, 🥴 🚀 Space Mountain: totally fine, hurts my body👌🏼 🚗: I get motion sickness in a car if I turn around while it moving… and I have to sit in the front🥴. Sooooo…. All that being said: Cosmic Rewind made me a tad disoriented, was super close to becoming nauseous, but never got to that point. There’s so much happening, my brain didn’t have time to register what was going on. And I couldn’t predict where I would move to next. It’s very dark, yes, but there is more “space” than space mountain. More stars, planets, etc. And the music really helped keep me distracted! For those that ask what it compares to…. The only thing that comes remotely close is Crushes Coaster in Disneyland Paris. It’s def NOT Space Mountain… and definitely NOT Rock N Roller Coaster. If you’ve been on Gringotts in Universal…. It’s kinda like that, but in a smaller car, and lots more maneuvers. Super smooth. No inversions. It DOES go fast. It does move in all sorts of directions. It doesn’t spin like the teacups…. I think there was only a full rotation once along the track. No big hills. It moved you along and you descend slowly. It’s decently lengthy! I was impressed! 10/10! Will definitely do it as often as I can! Just remember…. I classify this as an intense attraction… it MOVES! very unique!!! Let's kick start this off with @paultonspark peppa pig world 🐷 As you can see from the photo this year was our second visit back, loved every minute of it but compared to last year it was certainly alot busier. Price wise it was expensive, if your child's under 1 meter they go free. Which zach has grew from last year (obviously) but he was 0.2 cm over the limit which ment we had to buy a family ticket (3 people) costing around £110 😬very frustrating but what can you do... We ate in the wild forest family restaurant, food was quick and surprisingly really nice 👌🏻 They have plenty other options around the park also. Rating - ⭐⭐⭐ Recommendation: Short list it! 👍🏽⠀ ⠀ There is a Boabab Tree 🌳 in Mannar which is 10.50m in height and 21.10m in circumference. This is said to be the largest tree in Sri Lanka. (It should be noted that there is a similar tree in Delft Island in Jaffna.)⠀ ⠀ The tree is 700 - 800 years old. Rating - ⭐⭐ Reccomendation: Filler Activity 🤷🏽♀️⠀ ⠀ Though not known by many there is a hanging bridge (aka suspension bridge), over 100m long in Kanchikulam. ⠀ ⠀ You can reach the hanging bridge by taking a left turn ⬅️around 1.5 km before the road to Madu Church when travelling from Medawachchiya. Rating - ⭐⭐ Recommendation: Filler Activity 🤷🏽♀️⠀ ⠀ Yodh Wewa also known as Giants Tank is a large irrigation Tank which goes along the Medawachchiya - Talaimannar road for quite an extent. Morning says Finny! Bit of an educational post/atttaction review today as Finn is very intelligent. Here he is looking fabulous in front of an attraction on his home turf, Corfe Castle. Now Corfe Castle is apparently very old. To be fair he says its showing its age as the castle is crumbling a bit so some renovation on that front might be good BUT excellent tea rooms. Anyway, from what he gathers some absolute fool left the gas cooker going and lit a match hence it blew up. Bugger. He assumes that the insurance quote to get the castle sorted is taking a while to come through. Also, a couple of times a year people come to visit in all sorts of medieval outfits and they camp in the field down the road and you can toast marshmallows over fire basket. Excellent!!! ATTRACTION REVIEW! ❄️ This was Frozen - A Sing a Long Celebration in Hollywood Studios! Well everyone knows Frozen and I know not everyone loves it (I do) however this was one of the best shows we saw! Purely down to the wonderfully excellent comedic value of @equityben who was involved in this show! It truly was one of the funniest things we saw, so many ad-libs and playing off the audience and the other actors! So so funny! Tbh it was extremely difficult to chose a video as I literally filmed the entire show! I’ve never laughed so much (I did try not to laugh very loud whilst filming but I was totally dying inside haha) Well worth a visit! Nicely air conditioned and a nice little break/sit down from the heat! Just a regular kind of show with lots of singing and lights and effects! If you can go then do it, especially if Ben is performing! You can get his schedule and I’m sure each performance will be different yet hilarious! Club Cool left us this past weekend, and I’m hoping that they’re going to surprise us with a revamped version after all the renovations BUT if you’re craving the Beverly (somehow) or some other yummy drinks in it’s absence you can head to the Coca-Cola Store in Disney Springs! • Many people probably don’t know much about this place, but I do because I’m the biggest @cocacola fan😂🙈 • It’s located right across from Planet Hollywood and next to one of the Orange Garage exits. It has three floors — the first two are mostly for shopping, and there’s so many cool things you can buy, and on the second floor you can also find the cutest polar bear to take photos with (swipe to see how he greeted me), and the third floor is the rooftop beverage bar — with a beautiful view of Disney Springs. • SWIPE to see how you can get all of the drinks from Club Cool and SO much more. You do have to pay for these but it’s totally worth it especially if you have a sizable group with you — The combo tray is $16 and gives you 16 sparkling and still beverages from around the world as well as 8 Coca-Cola flavors with vanilla ice cream (aka mini floats😋). • SO even though it’s not free, I would encourage you to take a trip to the Coca-Cola Store in Disney Springs and do it!
