I have always loved flowers. As soon as I was old enough to walk, I’d run from one flower to the next in the city park, carefully observing every detail of each of them. My mother was always worried I’d yank them up from their planter bed, but fortunately, that never happened. I’d grab the stems with a firm yet gentle hand. Every flower was precious to me, long before I knew the meaning of the word. The world of flowers was one of endless joy and inspiration, and the same is true today. These limited edition photographs are printed on archival fine art paper with a deckled edge. DM me if interested. “Splaash” Forty wild horses from the McCullough Peaks herd in WY have been rounded up and removed from their home. Wild horse advocate and fellow photographer, @wild_hoofbeats, has organized a silent auction to raise funds to be donated to “For The Love of Aria”. The non-profit will be working on finding the mustangs soft landings and the funds will go to people and organizations asking for help once horses are adopted. Re-introducing “Photographs from the Last Century 1973-1983” by Don Hudson (his old Instagram account was hacked). Don Hudson (1950) is an American photographer, born in Detroit, Michigan. In 1972, he decided to act on his love of photography and enrolled in art school at what is now called College for Creative Studies. Back when he attended (1972-1974) it was called the Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts. He studied the language, both the history and the history-in-making, honed his technical skills, and most importantly, began an association with like-minded souls playing the game of photography. Don only stayed two years, but one of the most important things he learned during that time was the ability to imagine a lifetime engagement with the photographic experience. For 40 years, through peaks and valleys of activity, his playing of the game has been about his personal relationship with how the camera describes the appearance of truth in a photograph. A book of his photographs from the last century, From The Archives, has recently been published in France. Photographs from the Last Century 1973-1983 by Don Hudson are printed on Baryta satin paper, signed and dated. Shot on 35mm film with a Leica M2. Burren National Park in Ireland was unlike any place I've ever seen. Parts were a rocky, limestone moonscape that stretched to the horizon, then suddenly the trail would plunge into a dense, almost jungle-like forest. The rocky landscape had wide seams that made a pattern resembling the surface of a brain. It looked barren, but on closer inspection, there was plenty of plant life in all the cracks. There were plenty of ancient rock walls like this one and some prehistoric monuments that we didn't have time to find. I would have liked to spend a lot more time there, it was so cool! Driving there was quite an adventure, along some of the narrowest roads we encountered in Ireland - and that's saying something! We didn't have to worry about remembering to stay on the right side of the road, because it was barely one lane wide, anyway.
