Aujourd’hui, nous allons nous rendre à Bordeaux, mais pour déguster un vin blanc. Le vignoble blanc du Clos Marsalette s’étend sur 1,3 hectare de vignes. Nous sommes dans un terroir typique du sud de la ville de Bordeaux, avec des sols de graves et un sous-sol calcaire marin. Ce vin blanc est un assemblage de 60 % Sauvignon Blanc et 40 % Sémillon, qui a été élevé entre 6 et 9 mois en cuves inox et en fûts de chêne. Au nez, on découvre des fruits exotiques tels que le litchi, la mangue et l’ananas, avec des nuances de pêche, de pomme verte et d’agrumes. Après quelques instants, un fond herbacé se dévoile également. En bouche, ce vin se révèle ample, avec une bonne acidité qui équilibre délicatement une sensation de douceur subtile. Ce vin s’harmonise parfaitement avec des Coquilles Saint-Jacques au foie gras, une Poularde à la crème, des Ris de veau grillés, un feuilleté au saumon fumé à l’aneth, un tartare de daurade royale au pamplemousse, des crevettes au chorizo et un poulet farci au foie gras. Si vous décidez de laisser vieillir ce vin quelques années, son mariage avec le caviar d’Aquitaine sera tout simplement magnifique. Clos Marsalette Blanc 2006 Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux 샤토 끌로 마르살레트 블랑, 페삭 레오냥 Clos Marsalette는 Stephan von Neipperg 백작과 Didier Miqueu가 공동 소유하고 있으며, 네이페르크 백작은 La Mondotte, Canon La Gaffeliere와 Clos l'Oratoire의 소유주이기도 하다. 와인의 라벨에서 그의 문장을 볼 수 있다. 스테판 폰 나이페르크 Stephan von Neipperg 가문의 역사는 13세기부터 와인산업과 얽혀 있지만 그의 부친이 1970년대 초에 Clos Marsalette를 인수하면서 본격화되었다. 스테판의 아버지 Joseph-Hubert von Neipperg 백작은 1971년에 Château Canon La Gaffelière와 La Mondotte를 인수했고 몇 달 후에는 Clos de l'Oratoire와 Château Peyreau까지 매입하게되는데, 1985년에 그의 아들에게 물려주게 된다. 포도원은 가론(Garonne)강 주변에 오랜 세월 퇴적된 자갈이 많은 언덕 위에 자리잡고 있으며 하층토는 약간의 점토, 황갈색 모래와 다양한 색상의 점토가 포함된 모래 형태의 해양 퇴적물로 구성되어 있다. 2006빈은 소비뇽 블랑과 세미용을 반반씩 블랜딩한 와인으로, 화이트 와인 치고는 꽤 오래 숙성된 편이라 색상은 약간의 구릿빛이 감도는 골드 색상을 보였고 너트류의 산화적 숙성취와 젖은 건초, 자스민, 민트 같은 향에 이어 레몬껍질과 복숭아, 패션 프루트, 청매실의 은은한 향들이 살아났다. 탄탄한 산미가 구조감을 이루는 드라이하면서도 절제된 스타일의 보르도 화이트 와인이었다. Even after so many 2022 Bordeaux barrel tastings, senior editor James Molesworth was still eager to see how Count Stephan von Neipperg’s wines turned out. While everyone else he met with was musing on how the vineyards are acclimating to Bordeaux's warming climate, von Neipperg adopted organic farming at Château Canon-La Gaffelière, La Mondotte and Clos de l'Oratoire 20 years ago. So he's had plenty of time to evaluate how changing viticulture practices help the vines adapt. Plus his preference for wines built on balance and precision rather than muscle meant that 2022 would theoretically play perfectly into his hands. 🍷Clos Marsalette Blanc Located in Martillac, in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, Clos Marsalette is jointly owned by Count Stephan von Neipperg and Didier Miqueu. This vineyard sits magnificently on gravelly rises deposited aeons ago by the Garonne. Offering a great diversity the subsoil is composed of marine sediment from the Miocene and Pliocene epochs (5 to 15 million years ago) in the form of shelly sand with a bit of clay, fawn-coloured sand, and multi-coloured clay. Already at the visual tasting, the wine gives itself strong with its very dark ruby red. On the nose one perceives caramel, coffee and other tertiary notes. Clos Marsalette 2011 - Drinking great now. The last bottle of one of the rare Pessac-Leognans imported into Croatia. It was available in Dobra Wina (Good Wines), a now defunct chain of wine shops - one of those was in my home town of Rijeka. It was the only serious place in Rijeka to buy wines, a place where I met some terrific people and one of them became a great friend.
