My first taste of the 2022 vintage of this excellent 🇬🇧 still white from Mike Huskins at Dalwood. This is a blend of Seyval Blanc, Madeline Angevine and Solaris 🍇s. Very pale in colour, almost as clear as water. On the nose tropical fruit and English summer hedgerows. Dry, quite high acidity with medium body and 12% abv. Flavours of lemon drops, grapefruit and pear with great minerality and a prickle on the long lingering saline finish. Just 1700 bottles produced. The Dalwood 3 Hills was my final off-road event of the winter season. 9.5 miles and just under 1500 feet of ascent in a little over 2 hours, not too bad. Good Ol'Insta has cropped the top & bottom of this remote (closed) waterfall, just outside of Lismore. If it wasn't so hot & humid, I am sure this would have been very relaxing to sit and listen to the wildlife.
