KC Tool Haul #11. Added to my Wera family with this pick up. This set is sweet, but the story here is even sweeter. For whatever reason, this package was delivered to my old residence on May 13th. I sent two letters to the current residents asking for my package back. Before I knew it, it was May 27th and I figured I wasn't going to hear back or be able to retrieve my package. I called KC Tool and told them my situation. After talking to Chris on the phone, a replacement order was made. I voiced how appreciative I was that they were willing to do this and said if the original order showed up I would let them know right away. Well, it did. The next day I got a phone call from the landlord of my old residence and he said the package would be out on his doorstep for me to pick up. So, I picked it up and boom, it's a box with the Wera bicycle kit inside. This is a perfect example of a stand-up local business and one of the main reasons I continue to buy from @kc_tool. I've never seen a store that pushed men's shoes so hard. I got to experience this town for the first time last November and it was quite enjoyable. The contrast of the good and bad parts is unbelievable and the downtown district was eerily quiet, but I grabbed lunch from a local establishment (I had a po-boy, it was fantastic), took a brief walk along the riverwalk and then drove around a bunch looking for things to take pictures of. I had fun. Mega huge thanks to my neighbors for making all this possible. I just finished assembling this piece and I'm looking very forward to populating it. Eventually, this thing is going to end to up in the garage that hasn't been built yet, but for the time being, it's inside. Church was a good helper. I got to use some cool tools in the process. The Wera bit ratchet/ 13mm socket combo was totally a lifesaver. The whole process would have been much more difficult without it. The Hazet magnetic bowl that I thought I would never actually utilize became incredibly useful all of a sudden. I had every single nut, washer and bolt inside that thing at one point. Got to use the SK X-Frame, too! That was a treat! Once I swore I would die for you, but I never meant like this... P.S., a brief backstory on this place. I found a picture of this house about 8 years ago. It lived in Richland County, an area I frequented regularly, that's all I knew about it. So, after finding so many super things to photograph in the area, I thought to myself I could totally find this place. After 2 years of looking for it, I had yet to find it and had basically given up on it This place no longer existed, it was gone. In 2017, I was hired to photograph of wedding out in rural Richard County. 5 minutes away from the location of the wedding, this appeared, the house! I slammed on the brakes, turned around and just looked at it for a minute. I marked its location and then returned to it in the following weeks. I was only able to photograph it on three different occasions, this being the last, but every time was great.
