Very hard to beat an afternoon of drinking Pomerol and red Burgundy. Drank the 2005 Chateau Nenin Pomerol at Vinous Reverie (@vinousreverie). The tannins were not harsh and was pretty drinkable. I got tastes of cherries and tobacco. Then had a 2003 Chandon de Briailles Les Bressandes Corton Grand Cru, which is a fantastic and good value red Burgundy, at Yan’s. Мне даже показалось, что оно чуть более пышное и увесистое, чем я люблю. По крайней мере его Cote de Bechalin 2012 (BdN) и La Boloree 2015 (Pinot Blanc) держались более строже и свежее. Но это всё равно оттенки и грани сравнения вин из высшей лиги. Charles Dofour - Landreville, Les boulles de Comptoiring 2018. Interesting champagne based on blen 55%t Pinot Noir, Chardonay 35%, Pinot blanc 10%, zero dosage. Although it is a zero dosage champagne, the acidity is not very high, it balances nicely between fruity and acidity. Very pleasant bubbles from the first sip. 2. Patrick Bouju, Cuver R 2019 A very unusual riesling from Alsace, a lot of vanilla in the nose and in the mouth, but a lot of cool stuff at the same time, you can mistake Chardonay when tasting the blind. Atypical interpretation. 3. Pierre Joseph - La Sorga 2017 An interesting blend of Sauvignon blanc and grenache blanc. Fresh, on the mineral side. 4. Giulio Armani - Trevo, Ceraghi 2018. Fabulous showing by the red Beaune 1er Crus this weekend. 🍓‘Les Reversées’ 2017 crystalline, featherweight and exceedingly precise, a laser-guided shot of radiant and mineral-tinged red fruit. Pure class. 🥓‘Les Bressandes’ 2016 a good bit more ripe and burly, but with the same elegantly transparent framing. Buoyant and velvety but packed with savoury dark fruit, spice and smoke. 🍷Only a couple cases of each left.
