This is my bad weekend with chemo stuck in bed... it does get me frustrated and upset.. but I allow myself the tears and grief.. it can be a lonely place and not because I dont have friends and family checking in... It gets lonely cos you feel everyone else is getting on with and enjoying life... ( even with the sun gone missing) Its really stupid but what really gets to me the last few days is my bday around the corner... its just a reminder how much Im missing out on. We had so many plans for this year... The last 6 yrs we have been joking how it goes on for a month, travelling seeing our fav bands all over Europe, partying at the most awesome clubs, hosting parties for our friends making memories.. I know this situation is temporary. But it doesnt make it easier. Im good 99% of the time, so in that 1% you cant give yourself a hard time for feeling low. Its ok to say you are not Ok. Whatever it is that you are going through. ❤️❤️❤️ NOW... 😁😁😁 4 - 5 more days of this and be back to smiling and shooting so lets concentrate on that... and in thr meantime watch some silly cartoons on netflix and get spoiled and looked after by @lutherblack13 😁🥰 Model @patsypleasure #intense #oknottofeelok

Feeling grateful... 💞💞💞 thank you for the calls, flowers, medicine, groceries, soups & prepared meals & most importantly love sent my way. It’s easy when things are going well not to realize others may need help. Keep an eye out for those you may not have heard from or who seem to be down during these difficult times. We all need help sometimes & that’s ok. My personal reason I am posting is because I got Shingles 😩 due to a weakened immune system & stress. We’re all under a lot of stress right now even if we don’t think so. It’s ok to acknowledge that. If you are due to get the Shingles vaccine & have been putting it off PLEASE check with your doctor & follow up. So many people have told me they have been putting it off. I thought I was too young and invincible to get them, but if the past few years has taught me anything, I know now that that is NOT the case! Keep up with your health & check in with others... I am starting to turn the corner, so if anyone needs anything please reach out. Nothing to be gained by suffering alone.. Lately I have been feeling helpless with the Covid situation in the world 🌍 . Covid is so present over there it feels like it's never going to end. I miss my family and friends so much, not knowing when we're going to see each other again is just really hard . We are so lucky here in New Zealand to be able to live our lives almost normally ... and I'm so grateful for that . So it's ok not to feel ok, about this and about other things. We can't always have amazing days and feel great constantly. It's ok if today if it's one of those days 💕

Not being able to catch enough strength to climb from your sweaty pillow and just be. Not being able to cultivate how their happy and living. Because your deep in your mentality so much you can’t concentrate on anything else. TO BEING. To being able to find the strength to brush your hair and put on matching pjs. To being able to finally connect with whoever your brain wouldn’t allow you to see. To being. To being able to laugh until your eyes leak with happiness. To being able to go out in public again without feeling shameful. To finally being you. To finally being free.

No one is going to change just because it’s the holidays. Let go of the idea you can change anyone who bugs you. Find constructive ways to minimize their impact on your life. Put your energy and time into those who know how to love and whose presence makes you happy. Give yourself permission to #LetSomeThingsGo. Take a moment each morning to gather your thoughts. Make a list of all the things you have to do and want to do. Check off the two or three items that are really important to you. Let yourself entertain the idea of letting go of many of the others — or at least reducing them in some way. Many of us make our own stress by buying into the “have to’s.” #TakeTime every day to enjoy something about the season. It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness... But are you enjoying any of it? Stop. Breathe. Take a few minutes to enjoy the decorations on the lampposts or to really look at the lights. I played at a @cycleagainstsuicide event a few years ago with @whitechalkofficial and was extremely touched by the honesty from the speakers and the numbers that were there. It is ok not to feel ok and most definitely ok to ask for help. I'm lucky enough to be able to speak through song which was something I forgot how to do for years. It seriously affected my mental health because I no longer had this output. I had to learn that it was ok to talk through what I was feeling and eventually I was able to put it to music again. Realising that it was ok to ask for help was a huge step in the right direction and today I finally feel myself again. Schools will be wearing orange all over the country to help raise mental health awareness on the 17 of February!
