I spent years of my life with body issues, wearing oversized t-shirts, binging and purging with on and off bulimia for 15 years and NEVER looking in the mirror seeing anything close to beautiful! I felt that way because of social pressures, societal pressures, watching women I admired and loved talk about their imperfections rather than focusing on the beauty I saw in them. It gave me a distorted view as to what truly is beautiful! I am so thankful that I have done the work to get to the place where I can look in the mirror and be proud and truly feel beautiful because of what’s in my soul shining through! I now know that being ME is more powerful than fitting any societal mold! Do I still look in the mirror and turn for the better view? Yup... but I find one before I walk away and high five myself in the mirror! Do I struggle with wrinkles, grey hairs, love handles, that weird bra fat, and so much more??? Heck yeah... but only for a moment before I remind myself that because of this body I have three beautiful children, of all the years I’ve enjoyed outdoors in the sunshine are worth those wrinkles, and the grey hairs... I book an appointment with my girl at @shearelegancesandfly (thank God for that)!! Today I am saying CHEERS (with kombucha) to how blessed I feel to be aligned with a company that has this exact mission!!! July marks 3 years I’ve been with Savvi! A friend asked if I wanted to partner with a new company. Workout clothing so why not? I needed some new sports bras and leggings. I had no idea I needed a community like this. I had no idea how the clothing would make me feel. I had no idea I could still grow and learn so much from the BEST group of supportive women (and a few smart men 😜). I had no idea how sharing this gift with others would light me up. And I had no idea I could be successful and be rewarded for sharing about clothing I love to wear. Just like I’m sure you do, if I see something I like - pair of earrings, shoes, hair cut, outfit - I’ll compliment the person and ‘ask where did you get that?’ - and I do this with friends, but many times with total strangers. People do the same to me and I truly think nothing of sharing where I bought the item or the deal I got and sending the person to the website or to the store to purchase it for themselves.
