"I know what I am doing!!" If that is the case..... .......WHY ARE YOU STRUGGLING TO HIT YOUR FITNESS GOALS??🤦‍♀️ Having conversations with people telling me they don't need any help, they know what they are doing, etc etc!! And still they are in the same boat that they were 6 months ago!!🤦‍♀️ Yes knowledge is Key but if we don’t put it in practice then it’s pointless!! Even today, below are the most common questions I'm asked even though they don't need any help!! 💥Question- Best way to lose body fat- Answer-Be on a calorie deficit and move more 💥Question- Best exercise to lose body fat- Answer- There isn’t really however focus on compound exercises (this works a group of muscles to perform the movement) or do a superset with two isolate exercises together (upper body and lower body exercises) plus make sure you challenge yourself (not a easy simple weight or amount of repetitions) 💥Question- How to eat foods you I enjoy and still lose body fat- Answer- Cater this in your calorie intake and still be on a calorie deficit 💥Question- How can I Increase my energy levels- Answer-Exercise constantly with a combination of good natural sources of food. 💥The one Question that is missing from here is ACCOUNTABILITY- Having someone that you are accountable too can make all the difference to WHERE YOU WANT TO BE!!👊 I’m not saying you need to do all these straight away but if you implement a few of these strategies you will be surprised how better you will feel plus how much it would do for your fitness goals. One of the most difficult aspects of this fitness journey for me is my nutrition. I grew up on a mixture of home cooked meals and fast food although as I grew older and life got busier with school, work, etc. leaning on fast food was just more convenient. Eating whatever I wanted was GREAT…. Until my back started getting wide and my mental health declined because I wasn’t comfortable with my body and felt limited by my lack of confidence in my physical appearance. So I decided to make a change because I felt like I was too young and beautiful to limit myself because of my insecurities and I also didn’t want this to be a indicator of how I would live out the rest of my life. So I began incorporating exercise in my life, as time went on I began to see changes in my body any really honing in on my goals for my physique and I realized because of my genetics and body composition not only would I need to follow an exercise regiment but I’d also need to make changes to my diet. I found that the easiest way for me to keep track of what I was eating would be to meal prep my food. In the beginning it was not easy to adjust to the diet restrictions that I set for myself and most days it’s still not but I do have a few tips that helped me. 1. Pick the amount of days you want to prep for 2. Choose meals that you enjoy 3. Choose meals that aren’t too time consuming 4. Choose meals that suit your fitness goals 5. A day of lifting with the loveliest group of humaaaans! Thanks @goldfitnessrox for the 12 week condensed powerlifting programme 🫶🏼 We laughed, I cried, we learnt loads about the sport and technique when lifting and we got a whole lot stronger in the process!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Week 1 lifts:⁣⁣ S - 70kg⁣⁣ B - 40kg⁣⁣ D - 110kg⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Week 12 lifts:⁣⁣ S - 92.5kg⁣⁣ B - 57.5kg⁣⁣ D - 120kg (few weeks out, injured my bum by the end and couldn’t deadlift) ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So happy with results. Weeks 9-12 were a nightmare because I got a glute injury so couldn’t squat or deadlift but kept on moving. Thanks Rox for being an absolute hero and putting up with me! my first not-a-training-video post 🫡 when training to reach your goals, it's important to be getting in plenty of protein - approx 1.5-2g per kg of bodyweight. this allows your body to go through protein synthesis and essentially use these resources to build muscle 💪 sometimes it can seem daunting trying to get in 100g+ of protein, so here are some little swaps you can do to give you a bit more of an edge when working towards these targets! A spicy monthly team training session today! 🌶️🥵 And what an awesome turnout we had - a good mix of our 1-2-1 & Shape Up clients coming for their monthly fix of torture (and fun) with us 😈 For me & @jessy_paynengainz there is nothing better than seeing the women we work with pushing themselves and seeing what they’re capable of 💪🏼 The girls absolutely smashed it through some horrible tempos and reps, plus a 2 minute plank to finish! I’m sure they were cursing us during it, especially when we randomly threw in extra reps 😈, but you can’t beat that feeling of accomplishment at the end of a tough workout knowing that, even though it was hard, you DID IT! 🙌🏼 Put the work in and you’ll get the results to show for it. 9 weeks post elbow surgery 🦾💪🏼 slowly but surely getting the elbow stronger and more comfortable lifting again :) It’s crazy because I genuinely feel like I didn’t have surgery. I am experiencing 0 pain or discomfort while lifting or after the fact… I’m extremely blessed to say that but it’s also kind of scary 😂 but luckily I have an amazing team of PTs and surgeon who are guiding me and making me feel SO supported. This week I worked up to a 60kg snatch double, 75kg power clean + CJ, along with lotsssss of squats, PT and accessories. While it’s exciting to start lifting again, it sounds crazy but I have actually loved the process of recovery and this phase of life. God has truly blessed me during this time and showed me how important it is to trust in him and his plan especially during bumps in the road. I really didn’t know what my future would look like after I injured myself. If you’ve had surgery before you know how scary it can be, the unknowns, the initial pain and slow recovery, the fear and doubts that creep in. So to almost be on the other side of this 9 weeks later is insane. It really gives me hope that I’ll be back to where I was and more pre injury sooner rather than later. Is walking considered exercise? 🤔 . Recently I’ve seen a lot of discussion about this on social media so I wanted to share my point of view… . In short, to say that walking is NOT considered exercise for everyone is a very short-sighted and dangerous claim. . Walking is one of the best and easiest ways to get people moving! . There are so many health benefits you can get from walking that everyone should be doing it. . But whether or not it’s considered “exercise” for you depends… . Where are you at in your fitness journey? . If you’re currently leading a mostly sedentary lifestyle, then walking is a great place to start and would absolutely be considered exercise for you! . So if you’re new to working out and aren’t sure where/how to get started, just go for a walk! . Slowly increase your speed & distance over time and watch what happens! . You might just want to pick up some weights next 💪🏼 . However, if you’ve been exercising for a while (think 1-3 years), and that includes strength training, group classes, etc…walking probably won’t be enough of a stimulus for you to be considered ”exercise”. . Now, I’m not saying you should quit waking if this applies to you! Nope! You just shouldn’t consider walking as an actual training day for you. . This goes for myself too! . Since I’ve been strength training for over 10 years now, walking is an active recovery day activity for me. . I still aim for 10k steps each day, even on training days. . So in conclusion, walking can absolutely be considered exercise for some people. . Making a blanket statement about one form of movement is just plain dangerous and not helpful to the general population. . So get out there and walk, regardless of where you’re at in your fitness journey!

Saturday morning cardio blast, Flex Friday arms and some Thursday Glutes! 🙌🏻 Got all my weights sessions in Monday through Friday and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Day 19 Intent I tried to do this yesterday (orange top) but had such a bad headache, I had to stop at 43%. It was due to lack of sleep I guess, as the night before I fell asleep after 11pm and woke up at 05:15…. So today, I hit the workout again…. But some time during the bridges, my watch hit the gloves and paused 🫣. I don’t know what’s worse….. not staring your watch at all, or realising 10 minutes later that your your watch paused 10minutes earlier 😂😂😂😂 I loved hitting this workout! Instead of one 40kg DB for the sumo deadlift I used my barbell loaded with 2 x 20kg plates. I loved this! Think I will do it like this from now on. And the ball 🥎 i see is a regular feature….. which I actually enjoy 🫣 I knew early on to put my wrist grips on as those are really a life saver! You have NO IDEA how much dare I say ‘easier’ it is, to use those 15kg DB’s on lunges and the dead stop lunges! The RDL I did on the bench as suggested, and I must say this I enjoyed as well. Felt very…. Comfortable even… 🤭 and of course the 17.5kg DB was used. What a way to spend my bank holiday 😂 which really means nothing! As it is on a Saturday 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Aaah well! What I have learned about the coach-client relationship this year by working with my own coach is that it’s far more than macros and workouts. It’s a working relationship. It takes trust and open communication and managed expectations. My coach knows more about me than some people in my real life. I lean in when I need support and that’s how it’s supposed to be. Your coach is your guide. They are there to tell you hard truths. They are there to support you. It’s a privilege to be trusted to work with people and I love it every day. I’m thankful for all the people I work with.
