🔥 I’m In the lesson learning and action taking building of my life That I want to lead. I almost burned down our campground ⛺️ today. A team mate saw it and called us back to a smoldering plié. I had rushed to the next task of cleaning out fire places and put two smoldering logs on this bundle of dry composting pile. Boom flames are coming out right when I get there and my manager is not happy. First thing is, “ I am massively accountable for this happening” and then listened to her concerns as she did so really calmly due to me not being.defensive. I totally would have in the past btw. She then tells me I am gonna get a fired write ✍️ up. I felt resistance within! I felt it and shifted back into accountability and said “please do, this was not good it could have been so much worse.” After we had a talk about team accountability as well as said I was not trained just put out into the field and she agreed to the point of the whole teams accountable actions. I’m not gonna write you up, this is a warning.” She says. To say this, what a huge break through to learn and grow is to take accountability and resist the old shift of blame, running away instead of running into what seems hard. We kunnen wel tegen geweld zijn, maar is het handig en noodzakelijk dat we iemand of een groep verdoemen? Terwijl we niet eens ècht weten wat er zich in Verweggistan of in de ander afspeelt? Dit is niet ons gevecht. Toch juichen we samen voor 1 kant alsof het een voetbal toernooi is. Vragen we onszelf weleens af wat dit hardop juichen met andere mensen doet (in oorlog)? We willen zo graag DE ONE bad guy aanwijzen, zodat we zeker weten wie of waar ‘het gevaar’ schuilt. Om ons ergens aan vast te kunnen houden en om ons zèlf veiliger te voelen. Daarnaast is het een manier om onze eigen tekortkomingen maskeren. Onze veroordeling maken we vaak vanuit emotie. Vanuit angst. Vanuit pijn. Vanuit meedoen met de rest. Niet vanuit helder nadenken. Daarmee zeg ik niet dat we niet mogen voelen. Integendeel. Daarnaast kiezen we vaak een kant, niet om onderdrukking te voorkomen, maar omdat er een onderdrukking in onszelf zit. (Van 1 bepaalde kant.) Ik ben het eens dat we onszelf mogen uitspreken en dat dat ook goed en gezond is. Uitspreken wat iets met ons doet. Onze eigen (onderdrukte) pijn volledig op een ander projecteren, dàt is iets waar we met zijn allen meer bewust van mogen worden. Ons gaan beseffen wat we hiermee zèlf creëeren. È grazie a loro che gli ospedali non sono più sovraccarichi come prima. E onestamente a me non interessa quante dosi ho fatto e quante ne dovrò fare. Se sarà necessario, ne farò altre. Produrranno vaccini "aggiornati" e arriveranno anche delle terapie mirate. Lasciamo che sia la scienza a parlare. Io continuo ad essere ottimista e a vedere la luce in fondo al tunnel. They follow what you lead. Please, dont be like me. Heres to broken dishes, pink clothes, and burnt food! 🥂 . . Kids today are taught what we expose them to. . . Recently my sisters boyfriend has been letting my son help cook when we are over. And it hit me recently, that because im so busy im not teaching him these things. . . Its faster and easier for me to just do it all. I realize thats an excuse, and as much as i try to jusify it, i cant. . . I dont teach him to wash dishes, because im afraid he will break something. . . I dont let him clean, because i dont trust his skills, i dont let him do laundry, cook, or scan groceries because its faster for me to do it. . . What am i teaching him? That the mom, or female is suppose to do everything? That he will be catered to the rest of his life? That just because its faster, or theres a risk of failure im avoiding letting him grow in these areas? . . Im not one to let him play video games or watch tv for hours. Im a huge advocate of being active, and showing that, that is important. I try to show him how to socialize and be a genuine person. . . But i am doing a diservice to him by not allowing him to partake in everyday life tasks also. . . Its hard! Its frustrating! But i know that if i want to learn something new, i will at some point fail, learn from it and get better. I know that i have to start letting him do more, to prepare him for the future and to be able to contribute to society. . . Heres to broken dishes, pink clothes, and burnt food! 🥂
