*** 2 Photos *** I saw something fascinating when I took my #drone out to #VictoriaBeach to check out the ice conditions: A massive crack in the ice! It's not something that could be seen from the ground at all. I needed the high angle to be able to get a view on it. The crack in the first photo went all the way from the south side of #ElkIslandMB all the way down to the east side of #HillsideBeach which is about 8km! That's a lot of crack! It shows how massive areas of ice break off as the ice melts. The crack in the second photo is from the east side of Elk Island down to the east side of Sandy Bay. A family member was working in The Pas so we decided to do a day trip to meet up with him. We did some touristy things while waiting for his shift to end. We checked out the Sam Waller Museum first. It is such a nice little museum with so many interesting artifacts from the area. It's a great spot to learn about the history of The Pas and all the hard work that went into building up this community!
