What a lovely trip to Scotland, and yes, of course half my suitcase was filled with yarn. 😂 We were super lucky with the weather and I found this picnic bench in a most scenic spot right behind our accommodation. A WEEK OF RUNNING . There wasn’t a lot of running this week as it was my mum’s 70th, there was a trip to Leicester and then playing catch up from being away for 3 days. . Great day out down the Annan yesterday 🏴🎣 Caught everything but the target species (brown trout, sea trout, grayling and even a smolt) but a great day either way! In April we gave the floor to @prototypepubs. 💫 Founded in 2019, Prototype is a publisher of fiction, poetry, anthologies and interdisciplinary projects. With an emphasis on producing unique and beautiful books, they are committed to championing the work of new voices in free-form contemporary literature. Our team is often drawn to a @prototypepubs title, with our bookseller Jenna having most recently read The Earth Is Falling by Carmen Pellegrino and Amos, The Weak Spot by Lucie Elven. Jenna had this to say about The Earth Is Falling: The characters that fill this haunting novel almost appear as ghosts. A town is under threat of an imminent landslide, but while many people leave, a few stay behind. What populates the pages of The Earth is Falling is a succession of personal stories and encounters of the rich and poor, the religious and atheist, the meek and the mighty, as their memories cling to a place that no longer exists.
