ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE (2021) - FILM REVIEW CLASSIFICATION: R/MA15+ RUNTIME: 4h 2min GENRE: Action/Adventure/Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Superhero SYNOPSIS: Determined to ensure Superman's ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne aligns forces with Diana Prince with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. Okay, I'm going to be honest, I wasn't excited for this director's cut of "Justice League" because I found I found "Man of Steel" and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" pretty underwhelming and I'm just not a fan of Zack Snyder when it comes to Superhero films however this film shocked me by surprise. The film is presented in 4:3 aspect ratio to capture the true IMAX format which is something that is quite rare because most directors release it full screen with no black bars because these days people prefer to watch films in wide-screen or full screen but in my opinion it's a work of art and it's one of the things that makes the film look unique. The visuals and cgi is so far better in fact it's gone from bad to incredibly spectacular especially in the cinematography shots. The colour scheme is a massive improvement and Clark Kent's mouth looks so much better. The screenplay is a massive improvement on the theatrical release because all the forgettable scenes in the theatrical release are much more memorable while there is a slow burn but it's needed in this film to develop the character arcs more. My only negative I have is the epilogue goes for too long and I feel the film could have ended halfway through the epilogue but my biggest problem is that there won't anymore of these films and I was hoping that Zack Snyder and HBO Max would make a deal to make the remaining films he had in mind but it's been confirmed that not going to be the case. As much as this sucks, it would have been hard to get the cast and crew back especially Ben Affleck as Batman because he said the role was too much pressure on him. ↘️↘️
Zack Snyder's Justice League is denk ik wel de fantastische comeback in filmhistory 🔥 Ondanks dat geen 1 film perfect is zoals je het zegt dus ook deze film niet en daar gaan we het ook over hebben 👍🏼 Maar eerst sinds 2016 heb ik elke DC film in de bioscoop gezien (behalve Wonder Woman 1984 door corona/ZS JL is een streaming film) en vond het leuk om 2 throwback foto's daarvan toe te voegen in mijn review 😎 Eerste foto die je ziet was ik bij de openingsdag van Justice League (2017) en de foto is genomen voor ik de film zag 👀🤣 En de laatste is van Man of Steel (2013) alleen ik zag toen niet die film maar was bij de openingsweekend van Monsters University 😂💯 Allebei was ik toen in @pathe Arena ✌🏼 Iedergeval verder met de review haha! Als we kijken naar de geschiedenis van de DCEU en waar we tot nu toe zijn gekomen van hoe de zaken zijn gelopen. Kon deze film op geen perfectere moment uitkomen 👏🏼 Visueel ziet de film d'r ook heel goed uit en de acteurs spelen hun character ook heel goed 🌟 Ik review deze film zoveel mogelijk opzichzelf en probeer het niet te vergelijken met de 2017 versie. Maar laten we het erop houden dat deze film 1000× alles beter doet dan wat we zagen in de 2017 film 🤩 Kritiek wat ik op de film heb is dat het zoveel verhalen zeg maar nog moest onderbouden om bij het einde te geraken. Daar kunnen we zoveel over discuseren wat je maar wilt en ik snap dat hoe het allemaal is gelopen dat dit de beste uitweg was om de film 4 uur lang te laten zijn 👌🏼 Ik hoop dat ze in de toekomst eerder meer films uitbrengen of op de tijd letten want een 4 uur lange film zal je niet super snel rewatchen. En niks met de film te maken maar de 18+ kijkwijzer rating vond ik overdreven 🤨😂 Makkelijk 16+ kunnen zijn maar ik vind DC beter als het R-Rated (16+) is!! I'm not gonna go into the craziness surrounding this movie and why it's different form the theatrical version from 2017. I have a lot of thoughts about this movie and DC in general really, because I feel like they are shooting themselves in a foot for a long time now and it doesn't look like it'll be better. They are just a big mess. I guess I should start with saying that I'm not a fan of Zack Snyder's style as a whole and specificaly DC movies he made. To me they are too dark, excessive and pompous. I hated that Superman killed someone in "MoS". And then I couldn't stand BvS (as a whole) and that they killed Superman in it - in his 2nd movie!!! – How did that even make sense to anyone??!! Can you imagine Tony Start dying in his 2nd movie and how much more freaking impactful was it when he died in 20-something movie??? I have a lot of issues with Justice League as well. But to be fair. He did cast Henry Cavill as a Superman and this is one of the best things that ever happened - PERIOD. Yes I'm a huge stan. This is literally the best casting ever and this man, to me, is and always will be the best superman. The fact that there is no MoS2 is heartbreaking. ⬇️2ND PART IN COMMENTS ⬇️

First things first; it is a better movie. However, I still didn’t like it, mostly because it was 4 goddamn hours! Look WB, you know why the Avengers worked and you didn’t? They gave the characters their own movies before the big team up to establish them. You rushed yourselves and this is what we get in return, a bloated ego trip that does what could have been done before the first Justice League came out, but you were impatient and only saw dollar signs. Rant aside this movie does better at giving some more time to Flash and Cyborg since they are completely new to the team which was good. But all of the original flaws of the first movie were still there. Why are the bad guys evil? Oh, just to be evil? Cool. Why bother killing Superman if you’re just going to bring him back to life? Oh, because he could have stopped Steppenwolf in like two minutes, thus the problem with a god character? Cool. Why do Wonder Woman and the Amazons have a theme song that’s played every time they’re just on screen? Because? Cool. How’s the CGI? Everywhere and too much going on, still? Cool. Why so much body dismemberment? Because MCU is light and fun and you’re dark and gritty? Cool. It’s not like the movie is bad, I like the character building for the new guys, there are some great humor scenes with the flash, the acting wasn’t terrible. But, when it comes down to it, especially with the Epilogue setting up so much more for future movies, even with 4 hours the movie
