I don’t like saying goodbye. I like saying see you later instead. The past four years on Sunset Blvd at Hollywood Studios have been a blessing in disguise. Some of the cast members that I’ve got to work with are phenomenal ( You all know who you are ). I got to see some grow and thrive and that’s been an amazing thing to witness. Some of the CPs I’ve got to work with use to make my day even with all the shenanigans. I may not have showed it but yes I care and love you all just as much ( You know who you are ) The management team, trainers and the coordinators ( again you know who you are ) I had was a God send. No matter how I was feeling you all were right by my side and for that I’m forever grateful. In 2019, about six months after I had my first child, I jetted off to Walt Disney World to visit a friend of mine who was in the DCP at the time. I was able to visit all four parks and see and enjoy some things for the first time—including the Mermaid Donut at Prince Eric’s Village Market. The Festival of Fantasy Parade was a joy to watch again. I even ran into a dear friend of mine who was there for the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, @tarahawks! 5 years ✨ It's officially been 5 years since check-in day for my College Program. I made so many memories, friendships, and learned so much about myself during those 6 months. I grew up going to Disneyland in California, so it was especially magical to have the opportunity to work on the other coast. Now both parks hold special places in my heart. Way back in 2019, I created this account to look back on my time as a Disney College Program Participant. Fast forward to now, my last day as a CP. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be where I am today. I am staying with the company, and I couldn’t be more excited about it, but what I will hold nearest and dearest to my heart are all the incredible friends I’ve made during my time here. I did the Disney College Program (DCP) in Fall 2017 and Fall of 2019. I had applied four time before I got accepted the first time in April 2017. This picture was taken two days before I found out I would be going home for p@ndem*c reasons. That nearly two year waiting season was rough, but it was a precursor to the waiting season I'm in now. Though God didn't owe me what I was praying for- to get accepted to the DCP -He still graciously gave me what I asked Him for. Though, I trusted Him that even if I didn't get to go, He was still good, still good to me, and He had something better waiting for me. Now, again, here I am, waiting on God for an answer that is a bit more complicated and takes some more growing and learning and waiting to receive. Yet, I want my heart to be soft to HIS will, not the other way around. So, again, even IF... He is good. Even IF... He is faithful. He is not only faithful if He answers my prayers in the way that I want. He is faithful no matter what. If I get married. He is faithful. If I don't get married, He is faithful. If I have children, He is good. If I am not able to have children, He is good. 📣ANNOUNCEMENT 📣 I got a new job as a Fandom Marketing Coordinator at Fanexpo HQ. Sadly, today is my last day at the Trolley Car Cafe and with the Disney College Program. I am excited for this next chapter in my life but I am sad to say goodbye to all my friends at Disney. today was full of a lot of tears, a lot of laughs, and a lot of rain. I’ll miss the Walt Disney Company and Hollywood Studios. I loved being a cast member and making magic every day. I will also miss my family at the Trolley Car. Life is the bubbles at the Art of Animation Resort! Another check off the Disney Resort List ✔️ Art of Animation is a bubbly vibrant resort that pays homage to animation, especially to the Little Mermaid, Cars, Finding Nemo and the Lion King. I loved the clever way that the sketches and concept art of the movies are used as decor. There were also fun facts sprinkled throughout the resort so there is an extra bonus fun fact today. It was a great mini adventure before work. Fun Fact: The Nemo Pool has 310,000 gallons of water and is the largest pool at Disney, besides the water parks.
