Trainers have understood that apprentices are not just the next generation, but the future of a company. And good training has a pull effect for further talent. At first glance, an employer branding campaign, human resources campaign and trainee campaign are all the same thing. At second glance, I think the individual tasks are worlds apart. For me, the trainee campaign as part of corporate communications is the most exciting of the three requirements. How do the trainees present themselves, how do they talk to each other when they feel unobserved, how much self-confidence do they have, how do they see their company? Last week, I made my annual visit to Great Smoky Mountains National Park with another group of enthusiastic photographers. Despite a week of very early mornings, long days with lots of driving, and bear jams, we all came away impressed, inspired, and happy for the experience. The Smoky Mountains are beautiful during every season, but springtime is my favorite. Everywhere in the park is lush with flowing water, colorful wildflowers, active wildlife, and a strong sense of nature's beauty and strength. Every aspect of it is tangible and captivating. But there is more. Since my first visit a decade ago, I have embraced spring in the Smoky's as a nature photographer's paradise. There are several "must-see" locations throughout the park, but some resonate more profoundly with me than others. They resonate for what is felt; not seen. Roaring Fork Nature Trail is such a place. The gently flowing brook cascades over thousands of moss-covered rocks, past hundreds of enormous rhododendron bushes, and under countless trees. Each time I am here, immersed in the sights and sounds of nature, I feel this small brook breathes life into everything it touches. That includes me. Its not every day you set off to photograph #bluebells but end up photographing #standingstones 😂 But then that's what I love about #roadtrips Driving north alongside #thirlmere I could see the sky was mostly clear so I wasn't expecting a #sunrise glow but to get there and see no one is unusual and it was a lovely crisp, sunny and slightly frosty start to the day. The sun had just passed the mountain and started to warm the valley, while I was walking I noticed that to my left a male ibex was enjoying the morning sun. Fang mich doch! Diese Brücke könnte wahrscheinlich viele Geschichten erzählen. Sie liegt nicht weit von einer Landesgrenze entfernt, und der Fluss kann nur an dieser Stelle richtig überquert werden. Der rege Schmuggel, der früher in dieser Gegend stattfand, führte unweigerlich über diese Brücke. Das wussten nicht nur die Schmuggler, sondern auch die Zollbeamten. Viele kleine Verstecke und Unterschlüpfe spielten eine Rolle zwischen diesen Protagonisten ;) Was mich betrifft - ich hatte nichts zu deklarieren :) ************************** Catch me if you can! This bridge could probably tell many stories. It is not far from a national border and the river can only be crossed properly at this point. The brisk smuggling that used to take place in this area inevitably led across this bridge. Not only the smugglers knew this, but also the customs officers.
