All manner of “Witchery” (a.k.a. La Casa 4/Witchcraft 1988) await a small group of people (including David Hasselhoff•Revenge of the Cheerleaders 1976) who foolishly set foot inside of a cursed hotel. Among those drawn to this secluded seaside property are a writer (Leslie Cumming•Zombie 5: Killing Birds 188) interested in the occult, a couple (Annie Ross•Straight on Till Morning 1972 & Robert Champagne•Ghosthouse 1988) wanting investment property, and their accompanying daughter (Linda Blair•The Exorcist 1973), who’s expecting a baby any day now. What none of these unfortunate folks planned on finding is an inn infested with supernatural shenanigans of all sorts. Filmmaker Fabrizio Laurenti gives viewers some pretty impressive practical gore effects, characters (including Catherine Hickland•Robowar 1988) who clearly aren’t the cleverest people to inhabit a Horror movie, and plenty of pacing issues with this fright flick that feels like a Disney production (The Watcher in the Woods 1980) highjacked by an Italian film crew. 🎬 Movie Review 🎬 Paranormal Activity 4 2012 I finally got 4 on dvd, so can continue watching and reviewing this franchise! This was yet another great addition! Great story, great effects and a eerie, creepy atmosphere just like the first 2. Kathryn Newton and Matt Shively give great performances. I don't know what it is about how these films are done, but I'm always on the edge of my seat with heart in my mouth when watching them. This one did it for me, got me good! The extended cut didn't really add much, but the 'recovered files' were worth watching. I felt that very end was a bit meh 😕 but overall I really enjoyed it. I do much prefer the paranormal elements to the cult type side of things. On this day in 1964, The Last Man On Earth was released. Starring; Vincent Price, Franca Bettoia, Giacomo Rossi-Stuart and Emma Danieli. This is my third favorite Vincent Price film. I am two days late because I am lame. On February 22, in 1899, Dwight Frye was born. Best known for his roles in Dracula (1931) and Frankenstein (1931), he had a number of smaller roles in other Universal horror films. My favorite will always be his role as Renfield in Dracula.
